Concussion Head Injury? How did you heal?

Hi--

Got in a car accident. I seem to have some kind of head injury/concussion or something. I don't know. The doctor isn't giving me good advice so far.

If you had a concussion/head injury could you tell me

1. What were your symptoms?

2. What did you do to treat it?

3. How long did it take to go away?

I just need some advice. I am having balance issues, extreme spaciness, severe vertigo, dizziness, headaches and it all occurred immediately after the car accident but for some reason the doctor thinks it is caused by an ear condition. ??? But if I have a head injury I want to know if there are things I can or can't do or treatments or how long this is going to take.

I feel like I have a very bad hangover.

Usual symptoms of a concussion are headache and nausea and vomiting. Did you bang your head in the accident? Did you go to the ER afterwards? What did you doctor say to do for the dizziness and headache? For a concussion, usually its rest and keeping hydrated for a few days for treatment. Was it your regular doctor that told you its an ear condition? I would call the doctor back or follow up with your regular doctor and see what you can do to alleviate your symptoms. If its really bad or gets worse go to the ER.
