I'm in the process of finding some maternity clothes to get me through spring and summer. I bought most of my clothes last pregnancy from Mimi Maternity, and wasn't really thrilled with them.
How are Old Navy maternity clothes? I assume they're the same quality as regular Old Navy clothes (not great, but good enough).
If you bought Old Navy maternity, did you like it? The clothes look cute on the website, but I want to get opinions before I order a ton. Shipping can't be beat....$5 for any size order!

I liked mine a lot, I got some capries that I just loved, thats where I bought most of mine from my last pregnancy. Quality is about like their other clothes, like you said, not the best but not bad.

Thanks for the input!
I really like Old Navy maternity. The stuff seems comparable in quality to the regular line, it's affordable, and it's relatively cute (seems less dowdy to me than some of the stuff at the maternity boutiques). It's great for relatively casual summer clothes--t-shirts, tanks, capris, cotton wrap dresses, etc. I have had good luck at Gap, too.

My wardrobe from my last 2 pregnancies consisted of mostly clothes from Old Navy and Gap. They stood up well through many washes, they have some cute styles and I stocked up on alot of the basics, like tees and tanks.

Most of my maternity clothes were from Old Navy. I found that they held up better than my things from Motherhood and Mimi. I was due in July, so I lived in ON tanks and Capris from April through August.

Same as blondegirl - I have a lot of basics from ON from my 2 pregnancies that have served me well.

I'd say about 70% of my maternity stuff has come from Old Navy. Its good stuff, especially the capris as they fit me like regular jeans do. (I'm a shorty...apparently only tall women get pregnant! ) I also do pretty well with the Liz Lange line at Target.

With the exception of one pantset and a long-sleeved shirt, everything maternity that I own is from Old Navy.

Most of my stuff was Old Navy as well. For fancier occasions, I'd go to the boutiques, but for everyday, the price was too good to pass up. And like others have said, the quality is not the best, but good enough.

Old Navy maternity pants didn't fit me right at all. I was disappointed because the prices were right. All but one of my maternity pants were from the Gap.
For me (I went through countless sizes during my pregnancy), I couldn't have made it through the pregnancy clothed if it hadn't been for Old Navy maternity clothes! The beauty of it* is that yes, they're not the best quality, but they are good quality for the limited amount of time you'll be wearing them, you know? Don't forget, they have maternity swimsuits, too!

* actually, the beauty of ON in general, I think, is that you can get some fun trendy pieces that will last a season, while still keeping on a budget.

I only wear ON clothes while pregnant, they are great for the few months you wear them imo. MY local ON didn't have any maternity, so I would order a ton of things online (even some things in 2 sizes) and return to the store what didn't work.

99% of my maternity clothes this last time were ON--loved them! Like Mel I'd order a ton of stuff online & then return to the local store the stuff that didn't work for me.

I liked most of the stuff I got at ON Maternity too. The only exception were the pants, I'm carrying the babies really low and the low-rise pants just don't stay up on me. I need the panel, and they don't carry many panel pants. Like others have said, their quality is not great, but you won't be wearing the stuff for very long and by the time you're pregnant again the styles will have changed anyway :).
The other great thing about ON is that you can get by with a lot of their non-maternity clothing for quite some time - lots of their stuff is stretchy and long. Even at 33 weeks with twins I have a couple of non-maternity tops that still fit (they're XL, but still!).

Most of my maternity clothes were from Old Navy. My life and job really only require casual clothing, so it worked out great for me. Not only do they carry a lot of XS items (not always easy to find), the prices are very reasonable. The store by my house carried maternity so I was able to buy most of my clothes when they were on sale or clearance because I checked it often. I amassed quite a maternity wardrobe that way.

Most of my clothes have been from ON or the Gap. I really like ON for basics like Ts, tanks, cami's, and active/workout wear. They also have a lot of fun "trendy" things, and their clearance section is great. My work clothes have been from the Gap, paired with non-maternity cardigans, etc. I probably check the web sites every week, and I order about every 2 weeks. It helps that I have a Gap CC--you earn rewards, get discounts and always get free shipping, etc. :)
I have found that the fit is a wee bit on the larger side (for both brands)--so you may want to buy two sizes and see what works.

I would say 85% of my maternity clothes with DD (and this baby too) were ON and I was very pleased. I honestly, have never had much problem with the quality of ON clothes.
Plus for maternity, you wear the clothes 6 months tops, so it's perfect. I refuse to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes.
The only things I don't buy for ON are pants because they don't make long lengths in very many things. I buy most of my pants from GAP.
Oh, I also buy a lot of stuff from babystyle.com
ETA: I agree that GAP pants tend to run large. I buy size 4 (pre-pregnancy size) and they are swimming on me. I can't bring myself to buy the 2's though. They will eventually fit as I get larger.

I loved the ON polo shirts and found some really cute skirts too.

The stuff I bought at Old Navy held up so well and that is where I will go for all of my clothes next time I am pregnant. I made the mistake of spending my money at Motherhood and most of those didn't hold up at all. I was however pleased with a few fun pieces from there but now wish that I had gone to Old Navy instead.

You convinced me! I just placed an order online. Thanks for the great input! I'm a little concerned about the pants, but as pp have mentioned, it sounds like the return policy is decent.
I'm a shorty...apparently only tall women get pregnant! LOL! I noticed that too!
Don't forget, they have maternity swimsuits, too!
I was so bummed to see that all of the tankinis were out of stock!

Only thing I haven't liked from ON is their maternity pants--they just don't fit me right but I have several sweaters, tops, and dresses from their maternity line from all 3 pregnancies and love them all and they've held up pretty well. I love the $5 shipping and free returns/exchanges. I sent one dress back 3 times until I found a size that worked for me (that one dress was very oddly sized compared to the rest of their stuff--I think that was the only thing in 3 pregnancies I ever returned other than one shirt I just thought was ugly when I saw it in person).

I hated every single pair of pants/jeans I got from ON -- they all fell down on me as I walked around (maybe I'm not hippy enough or something? I'm pretty straight-up-and-down), except for a pair of drawstring sweats -- those I loved and wore the crap out of them during the last month of pregnancy. I liked all of the tops/sweaters I bought from them just fine, though.
Certain ON have maternity sections if you would feel better looking & feeling the clothes.
My sister just bought some maternity clothes at the store last weekend and I think you described it just right:
(not great, but good enough).
She got some cute stuff and it wasn't very expensive.

I lived in maternity tanks, v-neck t's and yoga-style pants from ON during the last 3-4 months of my pregnancy. I still wear the tanks b/c they're nice and long (but not stretched out, unbelievably) and comfy. Decent clothes at great prices. I also wore an ON maternity dress to my shower. I hated their maternity jeans though, I could not find a pair that fit me at all. I stuck with Gap maternity for those. I never had good luck with ON's non-maternity jeans either.

My entire maternity wardrobe was ON until I was about 7 months. Most of it was great. I loved the tank tops and t-shirts. The only issue I had was with the pants. None of them were comfortable to me. They had the stretchy panel, which was super comfy, but then seam between the panel and the pants was always WAY too tight.
Unfortunately after 7 months I had to give up on ON. The shirts just weren't long enough and I was done buying the pants since they were so uncomfy. I ended up borrowing my SIL's maternity clothes to get me through the last 2 months. I loved how I could to go ON and buy a ton of stuff without spending a ton of money.
If I had to do it over again I'd do it the same, probably, but I would invest in a couple pairs of comfy jeans/work pants from a more expensive store. I would also have bought all of my shirts/tanks a size or 2 larger, which would have helped them fit me longer, but wouldn't have solved the length problem. Maybe it was just me, but I had that problem with ALL maternity shirts.

Old Navy, Gap, and the Liz Lange line from Target have been my favorites this pregnancy. Also, every time I ordered something from Gap (stores that sold maternity were too much of a drive for me to deal with) I'd get a coupon for 10-15% off my next purchase :D. In fact, I still have 1 coupon code left, if anybody wants it.

You guys have me convinced! I'm going to Old Navy tomorrow to go shopping for more maternity wear. Any favorites I should stock up on? I already know their jeans won't work for me, and I'm planning on getting a couple of tank tops,.

Ugh. This seems to be a common theme. I have a pair of long and lean maternity jeans from Gap, and they are too tight now, so I was on the hunt for maternity jeans. I went with ON, because they were cheaper than Gap, but now I'm concerned. We'll have to see when they arrive how they fit...

Add me to the list of ON pants-haters. Their yoga pants are the best pants ever, but the jeans, khakis, etc. were constantly falling down or way way way too tight.
But their summery skirts and dresses are awesome and super comfy!
Also, the sweaters lost shape in the first wash, so I had to scrap two of those after only a couple times wearing them because my belly hung out the bottom.
I also found the sizing to be kind of off - I would buy all the same size, but one shirt fit fine while another was way too tight. But I think that's just part of being pregnant.

I lived in my ON tank tops and gaucho pants for that last month. Some of my friends make fun of me now because I was seriously wearing that combination in ALL of the pictures of me (including my belly shots) taken those last few weeks! It was comfortable damnit!
I'm with you guys on the regular pants/jeans though. ON is not long enough for me. I had to go with Gap for my pants.

i'm glad to hear this. i bought a pair of their jeans, and they keep falling down. i feel like one of those teenage boys with their boxers hanging out. its too bad bc i like the style of them. too bad i didn't see this thread before i bought the pair.

The thing I hated about old navy pants was that they would fit in the waist, but the legs were super tight. I have started wearing stuff from my first pregnancy 2 years ago, but styles have changed. I don't care too much, but I would like one pair of pants that looks have way trendy!

I am another one who loved ON Maternity. I'm still wearing the tanks - well, the ones that aren't totally stained from my pregnancy-induced dropsy. They've kept their shape, and the extra length really works for me.
ETA - I HATED my maternity tankini from ON. If you had boobs before you got pregnant, be cery careful. The top was indecent, uncomfortable, and unsupportive. I was falling out of that sucker in an obvious and inappropriate way!

I wanted to give an update! I received my clothes--two skirts, a pair of capris and a shirt. I found the sizing to be a bit off. The jean skirt is perfect, the shirt is fine, but everything else is way too big. I followed the sizing instructions, and I know I'll "grow" into the other skirt and pants, but I was disappointed that I won't be able to wear the capris and other skirt until the third trimester. I would order maternity from Old Navy again, but I think I'd prefer to try on the clothes first.

Just wanted to update on my Old Navy jeans. I received them today, and they are kind of tight. At 21 weeks pg, that is not a good thing. I want to be comfortable, and I want to be able to grow into these jeans. So, I think I'm going to take advantage of the Gap sale and see what their jeans are like.

Although I buy a lot at ON I only buy my pants and jeans from The Gap...much better.
But I do warn you. You will have the same issue at GAP as ON when it comes to sizing. Some of my size 4 pants from GAP are HUGE on me. But I just bought a pair of flat front khakis in a 4 Long and they are perfect.
They good thing about GAP is they have the tightener things on both sides on the inside which help with the extra bagginess in the beginning.

I detest all my ON pants. They fall off my arse!
But, I live in their yoga pants, sweat outfits and shirts. I go there frequently...but the zip up type pants are awful for me.

ON pants have fallen down with both my other PGs and why I went and bought another pair for the PG is beyond me.
Gap jeans and there stuff in general is better overall. The problem I ahve with gap is it kills me to pay 68 bucks for maternity pants.

I hear ya! That's why I try to get my Gap stuff from eBay or on clearance.
I have expressed my dislike of ON pants, but I was freezing my butt off today (weather channel was wrong) so I had to buy some pants at lunch. I finally found some that actually fit!!
Unfortunately, they're not online, but they are linen, elastic-waisted with a drawstring, and I went one size down from my normal size.
The waist is like this - but with a drawstring, as well:

Ugh, I wish they had them online. But they actually fit really well. Maybe it's the drawstring?
