age spots at 35?

i think i'm getting age spots. not dark ones....light ones. i've noticed light colored circles appearing on my hands, and one on my forehead.

i should mention that skin discoloration is not something entirely new to me...i have had some keratinization (darkening) of my skin here and there due to scarring b/c of eczema. but i am a little alarmed at the light spots. they are definitely not scars, which i know can cause white discoloration sometimes when a scab or whatever comes off.

does anyone think i should talk to my doctor about this? or is it normal for such things to appear at my age?

I actually had something that sounds similar to what you are describing. I went to my derm and he told me that were basically "barnacles of old age". I was only 25! I'd had them for a little while but they were getting bigger so I wanted them removed. He removed them with liquid nitrogen and they haven't come back.

I think its a good idea to talk to your doctor about it. If it's the same thing I had, getting them removed isn't that much of an ordeal.
