I can't remember the site name but it let you put in your eye color and your DH's and it would give you the probability of eye color for your child. Anyone know the website?

Oooh very neat site...
Unfortunately, it didn't come out correct for us. Says 0% chance of child having brown eyes and my DS' eyes are turning brown

16.6% chance of a blue-eyed child, and that's what we had. ;)
Ditto for DS.

It says on 5.2% chance for blue and so far thats what we have (none of us, our siblings or parents have blue) - there is still a chance they could change, but at 7 months it is unlikely. I never ever imagined myself having a blue eyed child (not that I am complaining).

I know, that's why I don't think it would be correct for me either.:(

The site isn't working for me.:( Does anyone know what is says about DH having blue and me having brown? I'm really curious since DS is 2 and his eyes are still changing.
Well, there was only a 10% chance my parents would have a green eyed child, and I am green eyed.
Both my DH and I have green eyes, but DD's are blue. Mine were blue for a very long time and changed when I was in elementary school some time. I want to say around 2nd or 3rd grade (very strange I know...but true). There is only a 16% chance that DD's eyes will be blue, but an 83% chance that they will eventually turn green. We shall see. :D

My dad's eyes are hazel with a lot of green, as are my brother's, and I put green for them. If the hazel you're wanting to plug in is a green-hazel, but green, and if it's a blue-hazel, put blue. My mom's eyes are aqua but lean to blue, so I put blue for her.
My DD only had a 9.3% chance of blue eyes, and they are blue, blue, blue. Even the pediatrician is amazed! ITA with jesseybell that I NEVER imagined myself with a blue eyed child. (She is 8mo old, and the blue isn't going anywhere. You can seen from her 3 mo pics how much more blue they've become.)
I think that my DH's family has something "blue" even though they all appear to be green. Because ALL 3 grandchildren have blue eyes.

My son has an 8% chance of having blue eyes and that's what he has. I never thought I'd have a blonde hair blue eyed child.

I've done that before. It told me given my and DH eye color and our parents that it was impossible for DD to have blue eyes. She's got blue eyes. I must have a miracle of modern day genetics then.

You & me both
Neat how all of your DC's have such low chances of blue eyes or none at all, and still, your genetics expressed themselves. Since this chart cannot possibly cover all of your gene expression possibilities, it is completely possible for someone with an all brown chart to have a blue eyed child. Genetic expression is pretty interesting! ;)

It depends on the day. :p

Interesting. My breakdown is 72% brown eyed; 13.6% green, and 13.6% blue.
DS is 14 months old, and I STILL can't tell what color his eyes really are. They look like a blue-hazel with a hint of gold, but not a true blue or brown.

Well my results were 100% blue. :D and that's correct! I researched this while i was pg and read this on about.com so i was 99.9% sure we'd have a blue eyed baby. Dh and I both have blue eyes.
Q. How is child'd eye color determined?
A.
Most people know that genes creating brown eyes dominate over, say, blue eyes. (Genes that create blue eyes are “recessive.”) In other words, brown eyes in the genetic pool are more likely to “show up” in your child than blue eyes.
But here’s a trick question for you. Which is more likely? Blue-eyed parents having a brown-eyed child? Or brown-eyed parents having a blue-eyed child?
Answer:
Odd as it sounds, it’s much more common for brown-eyed parents to have blue-eyed children than for blue-eyed parents to have brown-eyed children.
That’s because brown eyes are dominant, and the eye color likely will have already shown up in a parent if the trait is in the gene pool. So absent the dominant brown-eyed gene, blue-eyed parents are likely to just keep on producing blue-eyed children.
However, blue-eyed parents can have brown-eyed children, although genetic processes for that possibility aren’t at this time well understood.
But why do blue eyes show up in children of brown-eyed people? This is because genes for blue eyes are “lurkers.” These recessive genes stay in the background until a certain combination of genetic material occurs—i.e., a contribution of a recessive blue-eyed gene from each brown-eyed parent.
Thus, even though genes producing brown eyes are dominant, it’s more common for brown-eyed parents to have blue-eyed children than for blue-eyed parents to have brown-eyed children.
A pigment called melanin determines the color of the eye.
There is still much to be learned in genetics about how eye color is passed along from generation to generation.

Wow Ellidew, that's interesting. DH and I both have blue eyes, so our answer is 100% blue. Which is correct. We thought we might get a green-eyed girl because we both have one green-eyed parent and at least one green-eyed sibling. DH is one of 4. Two with blue eyes and 2 with green. My bro and I have blue eyes and my sis has green eyes.

Exactly what happened with us... It'll be interesting to see what this next baby has

Seems like one brown-eyed parent & one blue-eyed parent have almost 75% chance of having a brown eyed child, and 25% chance of blue. Interesting...

I am commiserating with the others about the hazel eyes....my dad, MIL, FIL, & SIL all have hazel. True hazel, not really more one color or another.
I'd love to see an eye chart that includes hazel, as well as a hair chart!
FTR - I have blue & DH has green, we have a blue-eyed son. When I entered "brown" for hazel it said we could only have green-eyed kids, lol.

LOL! 75/25 or 1 in 4. My BIL is living this right now. He has blue eyes, his wife has brown eyes and they have 3 children with brown eyes and one with blue.

My husband has hazel eyes and I have green. We have one child with brown eyes and one with blue. I'm curious to see what color the third will have. According to that site we have a 13.7% chance of having a blue eyed child, 36% green, and 50% brown (that's if I put in brown for my husband since there isn't an option for hazel.)

Interesting. My mom has dark brown hair and hazel (green) eyes. My dad has very light blond hair and blue eyes.
My sisters and I all have sort of dishwatery light brown hair and blue-green eyes. It's like someone threw my parents in a pot and mixed them. None of us have a clearly defined "mom or dad" color.

I have blue eyes, and so does everyone in my immediate family. DH has brown eyes with a blue eyed mother and a brown eyed father. Here's our breakdown:
37.5% blue eyes
12.5% green eyes
50% brown eyes

I have green eyes and DH has blue eyes. DD had 33.3% chance for blue and 66.6% for green. She has brown eyes. Hmmmm? She also has red hair that came out of the woodwork from somewhere.
