Since this comes up often in this forum, I figured I'd make a sticky to address the problem. This way everyone is clear on how spoilers are handled. If you are going to post spoilers in a thread about a TV show before it airs, please do so in white. After a show has aired on the east coast, the thread is fair game for discussion. If west coasters don't want to know something until after they've seen the show, then they should refrain from going into the thread.
Please do not post spoilers in thread titles.
Please do not quote the white spoilers in replies, the text will appear!

Thanks for posting this. :)
For clarification, what about comments during the show about something that just happened, but the show isn't over yet? I'm assuming that falls under "after it airs", yes? People have been posting those in white, too, and I was confused as to the need to do so.

Yay! It's such a PITA to add the white tags.

YEAH!! Thanks for the forum-wide "policy!" :D
another rule...do NOT quote spoilers! The font remains white, but the box is blueish grey so it shows up. Instead, just refer to the spoiler.

Drag your mouse pointer (while holding down the left mouse button) over the white text and it will highlight it, allowing you to read it.

Can we define what a spoiler is?? This is the most frustrating part of posting.
Example of what I don't consider spoiler:
Any episode description taken from the Network website pertaining to an upcoming show.
I think most of the ep. desc. from other sites such as TWOP, TV.com, TVGuide etc would fall under public info as well.
I can see where a really detailed overview would be a spoiler, but generic stuff isn't a big deal and doesn't really tell you much.
