As in:
- Your older kid jumping on your bump?
- A fall?
- An accident of some sort?
I know I am just going a little nutty now, but my DS loves to play and is still too young to understand he can't jump on mommy right now...he'll stop if I say so & redirect him, but when he 1st gets the idea in his head to play sometimes I don't know what he's doing until all 30+lbs of him are airborne & headed towards his in-utero baby sister.
Anyone's water break before it would have normally, due to external circumstances? What happened?
Thanks.

can something like that break your water?
i always thought that those little babies were snug as a bug in there, really protected.

I never heard of any of those things breaking someone's water. My
understanding is the sac is pretty tough. The OB told me if you fall to get checked, but most likely the baby would be perfectly fine and it wouldn't put me into labor until it's time.
I had my water break once when I was in labor with my daughter and the other time the doctor had to manually break it.

I agree those sacs are really tough and in our birth class we found out that only 10% of women's waters break on their own. They consider those the lucky women because they can clearly tell there in labor but then the other 90% have it manually done at the hospital during labor by their OB.

My OB accidentally broke my water when she was stripping my membranes. I think she might have made a little tear because I was bleeding afterwards and then when I got to my college classes 20 min later, SPLASH!! LOL

I had 30 pounds of toddler on my belly pretty regularly and it didn't hurt anything other than being uncomfy towards the end.

yeah, it seems unlikely that a toddler would break your water. My son was climbing on me 24/7 and wasn't that gentle and my water didn't break. :)

I am just getting paranoid. I feel like "okay, WHAT ELSE could happen?" and when my maniacal little man jumps on me I get to thinking.....
Thanks for easing my mind a bit!
