Fruit Sauce

My mil was at someones house over the weekend and they made a sauce and poured it over fruit. She said the ingredients were honey, lemon, and liquor. Does anyone have a recipe for something similar? Also, what fruits would this be good over? Obviously strawberries but what else would go good with it?

I noticed the thread in CC about alcohol being used on fruit so i thought it might spark a new interest on the topic. I thought i'd bump this up because i'm still trying to find a recipe.
