I'm not thinking Kae could have won. Hollie whipped it up in the pool and was ahead of Kae by 14 laps.

Very true that Hollie whipped up in the pool, she was very impressive. But Kae won both the bike and the treadmill, she would have had big headstart in the pool. Don't know if she could have pulled out a win in the pool, but I think it would have been more fair.

Just now getting the show watched from being out of town....

Neil needs to quit defending his "not playing the game" thing. Everyone knows he being a jerk and not looking out for anyone past himself.

Whoa, Kim!! Amy came back to makes ammends (not that I'm thinking she's a saint now or anything), and Kim was a total witch about it!

Way to go, Kae!!! $5K is a lot, but for her to stick by her word was awesome! I don't know that I would've been that strong.

This challenge is freaking HUGE!!!! I was very impressed with Hollie's performance overall. I honestly didn't know she had it in her! I'm really glad that Julie was able to go home because she genuinely deserves to see them I think more than anyone. I actually cried when she got home and hugged her husband.

Kim needs to shutup about B being her last team member.

Again I love the side-by-side before and afters at weigh-in. Yay for Bill reaching the 100lb mark!!

This has been the one week where I disagree with Jillian on who should go home. Isabeau is absolutely right in her assessment that Amy just doesn't want to be there as much as others. OTOH, I really am sick of Kim's whining, and if B goes home, we won't have to listen to her anymore. Overall, I want Amy gone.....

And she is going home! Kae was seriously harsh, but nothing she said was false. I think Isabeau is going to have a very difficult week ahead of her and that Jillian will be seriously peeved, but I think she made the right decision.

Amy looks really, really good!! :eek: I like her short 'do.

I think Jillian was out of line though. She was basically trying to strong arm Isabeau into voting w/ the rest of the team. This is an individual game and I thought Isabeau absolutely did the right thing by voting the way she did. If Jillian is a *itch to her this next week, that will just lower my view of Jillian!

Lots going on!

The finale is in two or three weeks (can't remember the exact date I saw). So, since there are nine people left they must be voting off more than one person each week at some point. There's three finalist usually. Or maybe they are having more than that? They'll have to do something different in order to wrap thing up It will be interesting to see tonight's first ever live weigh-in with the voted off contestant.

They've already started filming Season 5 and are planning to start it at the end of January b/c of the writer's strike. I can't imagine filming one before the other is even over.

I forgot about the live weigh-in. How is that going to work? It's not like they film it in real time. I thought the finalists lived at home for months prior to the final weigh in (sorry if any of this has been answered --I have only been half-a** watching it this season).

Yeah, they've been home for a few months finishing the competition.

My guess is that they actually weighed the contestant yesterday or earlier today. They'll have to have time to edit it, esp. if they are going to do a whole montage.

It seems so unfair that Kae is going home. :( She had worked so freaking hard, but she just couldn't keep herself above that yellow line. Today, she looks so AWESOME!!! :D :D It was nice to see her more personable at the end.

Kae looks great. If she loses too much more weight, she'll be too skinny. Her and Bob sure were happy to see each other, huh? It was nice to see a more personal side of her. She's always been so business like and we never knew much about her.

Neil is asking for it.

Looks like I got my question answered, they're doing final four this year, so that makes more sense.

This is exactly what I was coming to say! Does anyone else think Bob may be gay? Not that there is anything wrong with that (ala Seinfeld), but I think he may be. My husband commented on how close they seemed at the end.

Oh, and Isabeau just bugs me. I can't put my finger on it, but she bugs me. She keeps commenting on how she was the biggest girl there, but she doesn't seem to be putting up the numbers like I think she should be able to do.

It looks like next week may have an entire team go home. It can't be black because there are 4 of them left and that would leave only 3 for the final...maybe blue goes home and Neil gets it.

Ok, I fell asleep after Kae won the challenge but I just went on NBC.com and holy cow, she looks amazing! I always liked her. Her husband was so cute when he saw her.

Can I just say that I think the trainers are mega childish. I didn't see the whole thing but could Jillian have a bigger stick up her butt over Amy's elimination?

I think it may be the red team/B to go home as "the whole team goes home". If there's 4 weeks left and there are 4 people in the finale, it just seems logical that B goes home. I don't know. I could be talking out of my butt.

I'm pretty sick of the strategy of always sending home the biggest "threat." Pretty soon the "Biggest Loser" will be someone who has only lost 50 pounds! LOL

I don't think it was about the biggest threat for the black team, so much as keeping the majority. So long as someone else falls below the yellow line with them, they're pretty safe with not going home. It'll be when two of their team members fall together that things will get dicey.

Personally, though I did like B, I don't much like Kim, so I'm actually glad we don't have to see her for a few episodes. :)

I know there's editing but with Kim's lame Last Chance Workout with B I wasn't surprised that he was below the yellow line. Or maybe it was because we just saw Neil get his balls handed to him in his Last Chance Workout. Damn!

My favorite line of the show was when Neil won the challenge and Isabeau asked why he was even here anymore....he wasn't even fat anymore and got confused on the way to skinny people camp.

DH and I were both totally unimpressed with B's last chance workout. We knew before weigh-ins that he would totally be going home. DH was annoyed that Kim took the opportunity to show off her total lack of b-ball talent instead of working B out. (Of course, there's always editing, so I doubt it was as bad as they made it look, but still.)

Totally cracked up at Julie's impression and Isabeau's comment!

Maybe I'm just mean, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching Bob bust Neil's butt during his last chance workout!

Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels will both return for the show's fifth edition, however Kim Lyons -- who replaced Michaels as the Red Team's trainer prior to the show's third season -- will not.

Looks like Kim worked herself out of a job. That's fine. I like Jillian & Bob anyway!

I felt so bad for Nicole. I would not have been sad to see Julie go. I really hope Neil stays above the line next week b/c I want to see the black team squirm a little bit. :p
Mostly b/c I *heart* Bob and don't want him to be without a team member in the final 4.

It will probably happen next week cuz I don't see Neil not losing anything next week. He's a big guy so he has a lot to spare. I don't want Bill gone (I like him). I'm hoping it's one of the triad (the women). You know if Bill was in the bottom 2 w/ another woman, they'd sell him out. I'm hoping it's Julie/Holly.

On the other hand, Neil has to lose more because he weight more to beat the percentage of weight. Add to that challenges that give 1 pound incentives, and that could hurt him. I don't think it will - Nicole usually has smaller losses for her size (whereas Julie's 3 pounds make sense when she's down in the 170's).

Before the show, I thought for sure either Julie or Hollie would be out. But I'm glad that it was Neil, after what he did earlier in the season. Plus there's a 3 out of 4 chance that there will be a female winner (although I wouldn't be suprised if Bill wins).

As much as I loved Jillian in the previous seasons, I really didn't like her attitude this year. I guess I didn't like the way she was trying to manipulate the game. I may be naive, but I don't think the trainers should be involved in that part. They are there to train them and to teach them how to change their life. I guess staying at the ranch is important.

Overall, I really don't like any of the women left. I have issues with each one of them that are probably pretty petty. So, I am cheering for Bill.

I was rooting for Neil.:o I always root for the undedog, I guess. I knew he didn't have a shot in hell against the black team. I did miss the epi where Neil gained the weight, though. Perhaps if I had seen it, I wouldn't have been rooting for him.

I don't really like any of the girls left that much, either. Bill had me in tears last night when he said his goodbye to Jillian. Just looking at that cutout of himself and his reaction killed me.

I'm ok with how it ended. I hate that it's all black, but I'm glad Neil finally got some payback.

Personally I think labeling the black team as the outcasts seems weird to me. In the beginning of the show they had to pick teams. It sucks they weren't picked for a team but how in that short amount of time can you judge how well you think someone will loose weight? I highly doubt it was done on a personal level, more of just bad luck.

Does anyone think the producers doctored the weight losses at all to make Neil fall below the line? Just seems so weird that they all had really great losses this week, so late in the game.

When Neil did the waterlogging I lost all respect for him. A cheater doesnt belong in the finale, so I jumped for joy when they sent him packing!!
Then when Bob said Neil stood up there representing all the blue team people who had gone before him, and they showed the old guy (cant remember his name), and then Ryan...I was like, WTH?? Neil sent those guys packing without a single thought for them. He turned on his team leader, and he stabbed his "best bud" in the back. He's a jerk!
Go black team all the way, they worked hard and stood by each other! I'd be thrilled if Bill or Isabeau won :)

Completely agree with All of this. Although it wouldn't surprise me in the least if members of the black team fasted and spent the day puking in the bathrooms.

My thoughts exactly. I'm pulling hardest for Bill, but I'd be happy to see Isabeau win, too. I'm not big Hollie or Julie fans. They're both fine, but I just didn't connect with either of them, I guess.

She couldn't lose anymore without being too thin. She looks great! I also think it's awesome that Isabeau wants to(or is?) be a personal trainer. That will definitely help her maintain.

Was it me, or did it appear last night that Hollie was not really that happy? I mean she looks great with the weightloss, but she seems so sad.

Oh, and Isabeau is a personal trainer. I read that on her my space page. Her boyfriends gym gave her a free personal trainer to help her win and she is now working as a personal trainer in that gym.

The finalists looked amazing, as expected. I was also so impressed with Jez, Kae, Neil, B, Phil.... all of them really! Just WOW!

The twins were cute. I thought Jim was a bit too thin, though. He looked a bit skeletal in the face... I hope he puts a few pounds back on.
Although, I would have loved for a woman to win, I was happy that Bill took it. He just seems like such a great, down to Earth man. Great dad, husband, etc..

Julie and Hollie looked so awesome! I never expected Julie to look that good. I knew Hollie would be a knockout when she lost her weight, but I agree that she seemed a little sad.

I'm glad the twins won. That was amazing.

On a side note, the amount of commercials were horrendous! There seemed to be more commercials last night than there is in the super bowl!

So from what I gather, the final 4 were at the campus for 4 months then home for 3? So they were there mid-May thru mid-September and then been home since then? So I wonder if the next season people are still there? Or were only there for maybe 3 months and came home recently.

I loved the show last night. If it couldn't be Neil to win, I was glad that it was Bill. He and Jim took the whole show.

Did you see Julie pulling that minivan in her at-home work outs? :eek:

I think Hollie's sadness comes from her mother not being there to see her transformation. She made a lot of changes and I hope she is able to live happily with them eventually.

Jillian deserves a pat on the back for a job well done. I need to get on that show and be trained by her.

Neil water logged and drank a gallon or so of water in order not to lose weight, or gain a few pounds. Instead, he gained SEVENTEEN pounds. It was when the teams were trios. He, Jez and Isabeau were on a team. He figured Isabeau to be the biggest threat and figured that he could get her eliminated based upon how the teams were set up. Only, it was basically a black team, a blue team (Neil is blue) and a mix match of all three. The mix match basically voted for Jez because it was one of the girls from the black on that team and they were all tight. Another team found out about that and switched their vote to Jez, etc. He set Isabeau up to be booted off, but instead, Jez took her place.

I was a little suprised Isabeau had not lost a little more, but all in all, she looked fabulous.

Me too.....at first. But, if you go look at their final stats, she actually lost more weight than the other two women finalists. She just had more to lose than they did. Here's the breakdown of the finalists:

Bill started at 334 Current weight is 170 - 164 lbs 49.10%
Julie started at 218 Current weight is 121 -97 lbs 44.50%
Hollie started at 255 Current weight is 150 -105 lbs. 41.18%
Isabeau started at 298 Current weight is 185 -113 lbs 37.92%

She may have lost more pounds but her total percent of weight loss was less the rest of them. I was expecting her to have lost more as well.

I was glad to see Bill win. He seemed like the "nicest" person out of the final four. But they all looked great.

ETA: What a knock out Kae turned out to be! She looked great

The twins looked great!! Not overly thin and genuinely healthy (which seems to be rare at the end of this show).

Julie looked good but borderline too skinny. I hope she puts on 5-10 pounds back on personally. I think then she would look healthy!

Jennylou~I agree! I thought it was quite ironic that the twins won in both divisions!

I, too, thought Isabeau would have lost more weight, especially since she is now a personal trainer.

Hollie did seem rather lonely, but I think that is due to her giving up her job and moving to LA. It's one thing to want to go back to your old way of life, but completely uprooting yourself is a whole different story.

Crimson Eyes~I would love to get on the show after my second is born and be on Jillian's team!!

As for the non-finalists, I was very impressed with how well most of them did. When Kae walked out initally, I said "Holy cow! She's a freaking hottie!"

I cannot wait until the next season!!! I am so excited to how the "couples" do!
