Durning our inspection on our new home the inspector informed us the house has polybutylene piping. It is my understanding that the whole house needs to be repiped. If not, we are playing a game of chance. It may be okay forever or it may break and cause thousands of dollars of damage. We are not even sure we want to buy it now. We are going to have some plumbers come out and look at it. The realtor says the sellers won't put any money towards a repipe because there is nothing wrong with the piping now. Does anyone have any experience or advice? Would you or did you buy a house with polybutylene piping?
Thanks.
Thanks.
