Personally, i think all 3 options are hideous! I didn't vote since there wasn't a write in option for the old red and white design ;)

What does everyone else think?

Correct me if i'm wrong but... doesn't a wavy blue line with a bright yellow sun setting into it make you think of an ocean?

I'd love to have a Cardinals personalized plate but I don't live in Missouri. I'm not too fond our state license plates either. I think we are going to end up getting a personalized plate this year.

I actually like the bluebird one--pretty.

They were all ugly... we were doomed from the get go. It'll look great on every buick in the city though ;)

I still wonder why the heck we need a new one to replace our new one.

Yep.. just found this from an article in the Columbia Tribune..

The bill’s sponsor, former Sen. Jon Dolan, R-Lake St. Louis, believed the new plates could generate millions of dollars for governments by enticing people to pay overdue property taxes - a requirement to get vehicle license plates.

The new license plates originally were to be in place by this year. But the law’s target date was extended to Jan. 1, 2009.

The Department of Revenue, which oversees vehicle licensing, now hopes to have the new plates ready for distribution by summer or fall of 2008, said spokeswoman Maura Browning.

Missourians will have to pay a fee - on top of the annual licensing cost that ranges from $18 to $51 - to get the new license plate.

Boy am I excited that I get to pay an extra $51 in addition to the stupid renewal fee. Lucky me!

I actually kinda like the plate with the bird, but being from MA, my opinion hardly counts. ;) Our standard plate is boring, but we have 16 spacial plates (http://www.mass.gov/rmv/express/plates.htm) to choose from.

I never realized Missouri was the "show-me" state. lol
