View Full Version : Which HPT brought you your BFP?

I have internet cheapies and I don't know how reliable they are, so I was wondering which test you got your BFP on.

As a bonus- when was it? (There is a thread on which DPO you got your BFP but no "which test was it on" that I could find.)

I got my first BFP with my DD on an Answer at 12dpo. This time around I used First Response Early at 12dpo and got another BFP. :D

I got very faint BFPs at 10dpo with Dollar Tree tests.

I got a very, very clear BFP at 15dpo with an Equate +/- test.

BFP with Equate at 11DPO, BFP with First Reponse at 12DPO...I think? I'm not totally sure on those DPO though.

Internet cheapie test! :D Then a beta. Both 12dpo. Then (over a couple days) 6 more internet cheapie tests, a CBE Digital(13dpo), and an Answer (14dpo).

The cheapies didn't have really *dark* lines but they were darker than the Answer one a couple days later. Totally reliable in my years of experience with BFNs. ;) That cycle were the only BFPs, and they were very clear.

Hey, Scooter-
Totally reliable in my years of experience with BFNs.
This is what I was afraid of! :p Although after I dissected my Dollar Tree test, I realized it is basically an internet cheapie in a plastic case. Of course, I am hoping it's still early for me, but I wanted to run get the best test if one seemed to have all the magic BFPs in it!

Another reason I started this thread is that I've seen differing opinions on the sensitivity of some HPTs so I figured it'd be nice to have a collection of true stories.

ETA: I guess I should answer my own thread. I got a very faint line on 11 DPO with Equate and then several other brands gave me a BFN. Took 2 tests at once (PIAC) on 13 DPO and got 2 BFPs- I am pretty sure one was an Equate and don't remember the other one. This was almost 2 years ago, after all!

I tested with a ClearBlue Easy digital with DD at 11 dpo and Equate at 12 dpo. With DS I tested again with a ClearBlue Easy digital at 14 dpo and Answer at 15 dpo.

EPT digital. I didn't chart and have no clue as to when I ovulate(d), but the BFP (2 of them, I had to re-test just to make sure, LOL!) occured 3 days after a missed period during our first month of 'seeing what happened'.

First with Dollar Tree brand, then with ClearBlue Easy digital.

I don't know when I O'd in that cycle, but I was 6 days late for AF when I got my BFP. I think I ovulated late, because it was CD35 when I got the BFP, and my cycles were always 28-29 days.

Clearblue Digital. I wasn't charting, so I don't know how many DPO I was. I just know that AF was 3 days late when I tested and got my BFP.

DS: Internet cheapie at 10 or 11 DPO, but it was very faint.

#2: First Response at 10 DPO and no question that it was a BFP!

Equate at 11 DPO all 3 times. I think Equate is pretty much known as the best brand out there; high sensitivity with a very low error rate.

Internet cheapie, confirmed with a clearblue digital. Of course, it was something like 15 dpo, since I was convinced we had missed our window that month.

Some random, cheap brand with DD. She wasn't planned so I have no idea when she was conceived or how many DPO it was.

EPT with DS, 16 DPO.

As much as I hate Wal-mart, I went in and bought equates (only because I heard they were the best). I tested 8 days past transfer (IVF) and got a positive.

jessesgirl

I had a faint, faint positive 12 DPO with an Equate (+/-) test from Wal-Mart. I didn't believe it so I tested at 13 DPO with another Equate from Wal-Mart and an e.p.t. Blazing positive on the Equate, nothing on the e.p.t.

Currently 15 weeks pg.

What are the pink ones, first response? I got a faint BFP about 2 weeks before my 'real one'. I took another and got a BFN. I got my BFP with the first response, and then another with wal-green's brand.

Clearblue Easy @ 10 DPO

I then braved Black Friday and went to Wal-Mart to buy Equates - I think I took about 15 HPTs of all varieties over the next 5 days

I got my BFP on Friday (14 DPO). I used a FRER and an early-pregnancy-tests.com test and the FRER came back SUPER fast. The cheapie test took awhile and the line was super super faint.

I used Answer with both of my pregnancies. I wish they still had 2pk boxes for $7!
