That's what I thought, too. And Kori seems really comfortable with Brit in those other pictures. So maybe Shar's still angry with the way things ended between her and Kevin (and she probably has a right to be), but is unfairly trashing Britney and Kevin's relationship with the kids as a result.

How I missed this thread from the old WC! Thank goodness I have found it once again.

On the flashing issue, I am also due in September, I can tell you that I am not the most graceful girl at the moment getting in and out of a car. Personally, dresses are more comfy for me because I have outgrown most of my maternity pants (baby is dropping now), so I can understand why she would choose to wear one.

As far as excess boobage is concerned: she really should go buy a bigger bra, but I know that I, for example, refuse to pay for a strapless in a bigger size just for my pregnancy bc I am not made of money. So I might be showing a little more boobage at the moment too. Then again, I am not Britney Spears with loads of money either.

And those boots are terrible. With my feet the way they are now, I am amazed that she can fit into them, much less be comfortable in that heat??

I cannot explain to you in a way to make you understand. In Malibu, you will find a small handfull of different looks. It is not uncommon at all to see someone wearing a bikini top, booty shorts and a pair of uggs. Yes, even in August. Which, August in Malibu is not necessarily HOT. Somedays are, but most days there is a cool breeze. Anyways, Hence the boots. The crazier the concept, the more likely it will take. Its the forward fashion idea. Unfortunately for Britney, she looks like a bafoon. She is probably just trying to push a type of look... which by fall, may be in full fashion swing..

I am curious as to what TONE I have here. Perhaps where I said "I cannot explain to you in a way to make you understand." ??? Well, what if that were the truth? I don't know how to make you understand what a different world it is there. If you have been there for any length of time, and you are more than a visitor or a passer-by, you will know what I mean. One feels immediately intimidated by their outward appearance.

Let me put it this way. Malibu is a fashion in and of itself. You don't "Fit in" there without the Malibu Look... and that look may very well be fugly boots and a see-thru dress.

I've never said anything about Malibu having the only acceptable fashion. I have only insinuated that a lot of LA is striving for the Forward Fads and someone has to take the risk... like Britney and her boots. (Heres a little secret: Sometimes budding designers pay high profile people to don their items for publicity, and they agree to do so for certain periods of time based on the amount paid.)

Even in her Pre-Kfed days, she wasn't the most stylish. Undressed, yes, not necessarily stylish. If she's just trying to "fit in" then she's blowing it, because from all the other celebs you see in the pics, with the exception of maybe Pamela Anderson (not necessarily a style maven herself), I've never seen any of them wearing either Uggs, or Cowboy boots with summer clothes. I think that the older women come off as classy... Like I said, there are a handful of different looks in Malibu and its usually the younger teens and early 20s that have the most bizzare outfits on. The more mature women are usually really elegant and classy looking.

MALIBU, Calif. - A photographer was shot in the leg with a pellet gun outside Britney Spears' home Saturday evening, authorities said.

It was unclear who fired the plastic pellet as the photographer was staking out an event at the pop singer's Malibu home, Sheriff's Department Lt. Steve Smith said. He said firefighters bandaged the man's leg and he went to a hospital.

"It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from," Smith said.

The photographer, identified as Brad Diaz, was about 200 yards from the home and outside Spears' long driveway when he was hit, Smith said.

A message left with Spears' publicist was not immediately returned Saturday night.

A paparazzo was shot with a BB gun Saturday night outside a Malibu home where he was tracking a baby shower for Britney Spears, authorities say.

The photographer was hit in the leg, the Associated Press reports.

The identity of the BB gunman was unclear. "It could've been somebody driving by, walking by, we have no idea where it came from," said sheriff's Lt. Steve Smith, adding that firefighters bandaged the man's leg and he went to a hospital.

The photog, identified as Brad Diaz, was about 200 yards from the home outside the its long driveway when he was hit, Smith said. He was one of about 10 photographers standing in the street.

Smith initially said the home belonged to Spears, but said deputies later learned that it belonged to someone else and that Spears is a frequent guest. He did not identify the owner.

There has been no comment from the Spears camp, but a photo of the shower in Monday's New York Daily News shows a smiling Spears among such guests as her mother Lynne, sister Jamie Lynn and, according to the photo caption, hubby Kevin Federline's two young children from his previous relationship with Shar Jackson.

August 8, 2005 -- A PROMINENT Beverly Hills plastic surgeon has been accused of trying to peddle pictures of Kevin Federline and Shar Jackson's kids to the tabloids.

Dr. Frank Ryan, who regularly hosts events at his "Bony Pony Ranch" — a 12-acre animal refuge in the hills of Malibu — supposedly tried to sell photos of a joint birthday party for the former couple's children — Kaleb, 1, and Kori, 3 — attended by Jackson, Federline, his pregnant wife, Britney Spears, and other family members.

A steamed spokeswoman for Jackson, Juliette Harris, said that Ryan — who lists the likes of Renée Zellweger, Calista Flockhart and Eva Longoria on the board of his charity — tried to hawk pictures of the cowboys-and-Indians themed kiddie party to Us Weekly and the National Enquirer.

Some of the snapshots of Federline's and Jackson's kids frolicking with goats, horses, bison, llamas, ponies and other creatures last Sunday were eventually bought by L.A. photo agency Splash.

"Shar thought it was really slimy," Harris sniffed. "They have a hard enough time as it is without someone selling their family photographs."

But Ryan's assistant, who identified herself only as Amanda, claimed that while Ryan initially wanted to sell pictures of the party and donate the proceeds to his charity, he abandoned the idea after Jackson objected.

"Shar said she didn't want her children involved, so, of course, we didn't sell any pictures," Amanda said. "There were other family members taking pictures there. We sold no pictures because Shar asked us not to."

Harris said she called Ryan after she heard he was trying to sell the pictures. "I was contacted by two magazines — Us and the National Enquirer — who told me that he was trying to sell the pictures," she said.

"I called Dr. Ryan and he told me that yes, he was selling the pictures," Harris recalled. "He said, 'Do you know who you're talking to? I'm not some yahoo. I give this to charity.' And then he hung up on me."

The smooth-faced surgeon's Bony Pony Ranch Foundation is designed to help underprivileged youth and hosts monthly "mini-camps" for kids from L.A. youth homes.

The foundation also provides free removal of gang-related tattoos and incentive programs for children who do well in school to attend Hollywood movie premieres and a mentor program.

My ex-husband is from Italy, where little girls don't wear tops to suits, sometimes as old as 10 or 12. When our daughter was 5, he let her go topless on the beach (here in the U.S.) and a lifeguard told him that someone complained. :eek:.

His solution? A string bikini. He figured if she can't go without a top, let her go with the smallest one possible.

I said no way. I'd rather she wear nothing then wear something that grown women wear to look evocative. Sorry if someone on the beach has a problem with a 5 year old innocently romping without a top – I have a problem with sexualizing my daughter.

(She's now nine and wears two-piece suits, but not string bikinis.)

My 6 yr old has the cutest bikinis (I think one very similar to a string bikini actually) and I see nothing wrong with it. She's 6 and I think it's completely innocent and don't see a problem with it. Now, if her behavior MATCHED that of an older child and she paraded around in that type of bathing suit then there would be a problem. But I personally, think some organizations/people make WAY too big of a deal about some of the clothes young kids wear. NOW, that said - I DO NOT agree with the 11 yr olds wearing short mini skirts, crop tops, knee high boots, etc - you catch my drift so I don't want anyone to interpret what I say the wrong way.. there definitely is a fine LINE what kids now wear --- but a toddler with a string bikini like the one pictured, I don't think should be a huge issue. just my opinion there. :)

A young child who is naked or partly naked is innocent. The same young child dressed in something designed to allow adults to look provocative is being sexualized, and that's creepy.

I was a nanny for 3 year old twins.. boy and girl. They had swim lessons every other day. And while the little girl had MANY bathing suits, she was partial to 2 or 3 which were bikinis - one of them a string bikini.

She wore that one most, but she was only around other 3 and 4 year olds. She wore different bathing suits to the beach or in public... by her own choosing and for seemingly no concrete reason.. Thats just how it was.

I think that it really depends on the child and their demeanor. I've seen some pretty flirty and "provocative" children under the age of 6. And I have seen some extremely innocent and naive chidren over 10.

I wouldn't shy away from putting my 3 year old, or 6 year old in a string bikini if they liked the bikini and the environment were safe. Kids just don't have the same motives as some adults do.

There's my 2 cents... er.. Nickel! ;)

Britney Spears Accused of Stalking Photographer

LOS ANGELES - A photographer shot near the groin with a pellet gun while chatting with friends in Malibu Saturday night has brought criminal charges against Britney Spears. According to papers filed in a Los Angeles County court, Brad Diaz, 33, accused Spears of "willfully and repeatedly stalking the plaintiff, thereby causing him mental anguish, endangering his safety, and interfering with his ability to earn a living." Diaz' suit also names Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Simpson, Nicole Ritchie, Jennifer Aniston, and more than a dozen other celebrities as co-conspirators.

Diaz is employed as "a human interest photographer" by the Bauer-Griffin Agency of Los Angeles. He appeared on crutches outside his modest Brentwood bungalow Sunday morning to talk with reporters after he had been released from the emergency trauma unit of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Diaz explained that even though his complaint does not name Spears as the person who shot him, her continual stalking and disregard of his right to privacy have created "a climate of lawlessness in which the assault on personal liberty can thrive."

Diaz told reporters that his troubles with Spears began in August 2004 when he was having a drink with a few friends near the swimming pool of a posh Beverly Hills hotel. Suddenly Spears appeared on a fifteenth-floor balcony with her future second husband Kevin Federline. Spears began engaging in what appeared to be "a private consensual act," said Diaz. "Then she leaped to her feet and started screaming at me and my friends to get the hell out of there."

Asked if he saw a pattern behind the appearance of Spears and other celebrities at places where he was trying to do "an honest day's work," Diaz replied, "You tell me." Then he explained that he can't even make a detour to stop at the Malibu Kitchen on his way home from an assignment "without Britney Spears or some other celebrity showing up" and sitting provocatively close to Diaz—a practice known in legal terms as "creating an attractive nuisance.".

"A couple of celebrities have even gone so far as to track my movements in order to find the places where I'm most likely to shop," said Diaz.

In related news, Galo Cesar Ramirez, the wedding photographer whose minivan struck the driver's side door of Lindsay Lohan's Mercedes-Benz SL65 Coupe near Beverly Hills in late June, said yesterday that he has photograph of Lohan that will prove she was talking on a cell phone and driving without a seat belt when she swerved into his lane causing the accident.

Christina Aguilera is unimpressed with pop tart rival Britney Spears future sex symbol status and star power. The Dirrty singer is also unimpressed with how Britney is presenting herself during her pregnancy.

In fact, according to Contact Music, Aguilera hopes the star will be content with motherhood, because "she doubts she'll ever be a pop star again."

According to Christina, Brit's sexiness is gone. She says, "She's let herself go. I can't see a comeback on the cards."

That's probably a bit harsh as Brit is only 23 years old. She'll have plenty of time and plenty of personal trainers to whip that body back into shape after the baby is born. It's more likely that Brit can at least elevate herself to 'hot sex symbol status' at least "one more time."

But nothing stirs up a little publicity like a bit of name calling between Britney and Christina. Or perhaps Aguilera is just jealous that no one has popped off any pellet guns around her lately.

I am so glad that Brit went back to a medium blonde. I think that is the only time I find her pretty. I thought the dark hair just looked like absolute white trash!!! From the more recent pics I've seen I don't think she looks that bad. She was ballooning up for a while, maybe she started some preggo aerobics lately.

My prediction:
I think our girl Brit will go into hiding for a few months after the pregnancy and emerge looking amazing. She'll lose a bunch of weight, work out, tone up and generally clean herself up. I think maybe she even let herself go as much as she did so that when she does make this "comeback" we'll think she looks even better then she really does.

Remember when Janet lost all that weight? You didn't see her for a while then all of a sudden the "Escapade" video came out and it was like DAMN! janet looks GOOD!!! There was an insane amount of publicity given to it ... most guys could not stop talking about it ... etc. I think it'll be like that.

I've never posted in this thread before but I lurk everyday. I heard this morning that Brit is planning on having a c-section at the end of this month to avoid the stretch marks that the last month brings. Must be nice to be able just to schedule it like that.

It seems all but certain Britney Spears will soon have a new man in her life. The Tinseltown press is awash with reports she is expecting a boy after the pregnant star went on an extravagant shopping spree for male baby clothes.

Britney, who is due to give birth in October, asked Beverly Hills child boutique Petit Tresor to open after hours so she could have the store to herself. The pop princess then spent $10,000 on garments and other items for a little boy.

A spokesman for the upmarket retailer said they could neither confirm nor deny the reports, but a source close to the singer says she and her husband, Kevin Federline, are indeed expecting a boy and they are close to settling on a name. "They’re mulling several names, but the one they favour is Preston," he was quoted as saying.

Britney's representative remained circumspect when asked if her preference had anything to do with the British city found on the Lancashire coast. "I don't believe she has been to Preston but it would be a lovely name," he said.

Whatever choice she and Kevin do finally make, it seems certain their Malibu residence will be well prepared for the new arrival. Just two weeks ago the mum-to-be received a variety of gifts when she hosted a baby shower in her luxurious home.

Scottsdale socialites are buzzing, local boutique owners are dreaming of write-ups in Us Weekly and somewhere in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley or Phoenix, a homeowners' association is cringing - rumor has it Britney Spears is looking to buy a place in the Valley.

Spears' publicist says she's "not privy" to any Arizona acquisitions for the Pop Tart, but if Britney gushed all about her Scottsdale vacation on her Web site, and Star magazine says Brit's having her baby at a Scottsdale hospital, then it certainly makes sense. Valley real estate agents say the star is definitely shopping around.

Britney Spears and her mother Lynne enjoy some together time in Los Angeles today. Heavily pregnant Britney and her manager mum Lynne are pictured holding hands departing Gladstones seafood restaurant as Britney had desperately needed a toilet break on their way to a distant shopping centre for a closed session of shopping. Further along on their odyssey (about 30 minutes to be exact ) they had to stop again at a nearby hotel for yet another toilet break before finally arriving at the Costa Mesa shopping centre .It is unsure what was presented or purchased at the shopping centre as it was unusually well secured by security guards preventing any of the media throng from getting too close. Britney was dressed in a rainbow coloured figure hugging long dress with blue thongs on her feet.

Okay..... I must have been mistaken in my last post!!! Why is she going out looking that bad!!! Does she not know that she was a trend setter???? If I had her fame and looks, I would be showing how beautiful pregnancy can look!!! I look forward to all the mommy clothes when I am pregnant. Your boobs can not ever look bigger than when you ar
