My in-laws live in N. Ft. Myers. We've been to visit them before. We are going down there next week.

I'd love to find a place that my DH and I can go out to. Maybe a lounge or a place to listen to live music. We'll be staying in North Ft. Myers, but I wouldn't mind driving a little bit if it was a great place.

DH and I haven't had a "real" vacation in ages and I'm trying to turn one night visiting the family into our "night out." I'd appreciate any and all suggestions. We've eaten at a lot of restaurants in the area, but I'd love suggestions on that topic as well.

I have a really good friend who lives in Ft. Myers Beach. I will email her for you and see if I can find out some places! :)

berry - I am sorry I cannot help as I don't live near Ft. Myers. I swear by www.tripadvisor.com They have rarely steered me wrong. Go there and see if they have any Ft. Myer's recs.

Have you ever gone into old Naples? It's maybe a 1/2 hour drive from Ft. Myers, or from the airport at least. Anyway, 5th Street in Naples has tons of cute restaurants, shops, and on Saturday night, there are lots of place with live music, including this great irish pub whose name I can't remember. But it is the kind of area where you can drive down there, aprk your car and just walk down the street. You'll find something fun. We've eaten at Yabba Island Grill and Cafe Lurcat and liked them both.

Yes we've been to Naples and I love it. There are nice shops & restaurants.

I have found a few restaurants and places with music, so hopefully I'll get to check them out while I'm in town.
