View Full Version : consumer reports and treadmills
I was wondering if anyone knew what consumer reports has on treadmills? My subscription has expired :( TIA
I just bought a treadmill (today) and researched extensively before I did so .. here is my reccomendation. Consumer Reports is not going to be your best bet here for reccomendations. Go to Treadmilldoctor.com and check out what he has to say about all the different brands. He, like many people, is somewhat in the "you have to spend $$ when it comes to buying a treadmill" camp. Just take it with a grain of salt. The way I see it - if you are a serious runner then yes, you'll want to spend at least 2k and get something really good. Me - I'm a walker. I occasionally jog. I bought something that was rated for that (Sole F63) After TreadmillDoctor.com go here:
to read opinions from a whole pool of different treadmill users. I found this site oh-so-useful. After treadmill doctor i had pretty much narrowed my decision down to 2 or 3 different models. The runnersworld forums helped me make my final pick.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions. I'm no treadmill expert but I do have a lot of treadmill facts swimming around in my head right now!
