I wore these fun flip flops during my reception. In hindsight I should have worn them all day long, because they were MUCH more comfortable than the heeled sandals I wore for pictures & for the ceremony! Plus they were cheap - I think about $30 at Sears, or something like that!
http://images.snapfish.com/3445492723232%7Ffp3%3B%3Dot%3E2329%3D%3A%3B9%3D493 %3DXROQDF%3E2323569839384ot1lsi

This was my garter, which I had custom-made for my by a seller on eBay for about $15:

Here's a close-up of the beaded comb & the satin edging on my veil:

Here's my necklace. I can't find a picture of my matching earrings & bracelet, though.

Mrspugglesworth- Hey here, not sure if you ment me but Ill answer andways. My mum is actually planning to make it. Most places said it would be able $65 and i didnt want to spend that much for something i as just going to wear for the ceremony. We have bought the tulle and comb for $20..much better than 65!

Squee--yes, I meant you :) You're right, $65 does seem like a lot of money to only wear it for a short time, but that's great that your mom can make it for you, and it's only $20!

Hey Sazoo...where did you get your necklace???
I bought the necklace from a local bridal shop that was going out of business & had it on clearance, however a few months later I found the exact same one on www.jessicaswedding.com - along with a pair of matching earrings & a bracelet! :) So I ordered the bracelet & earrings from their website & wore them with the necklace. They were all pretty inexpensive - I wasn't really willing to spend a ton of $$ on jewelry that I knew I'd hardly ever wear after my wedding day.

Here's another pic:

Thanks! I just wanted something simple, & that seemed to fit the bill. Plus the pearl & crystal style fit with the design of my dress nicely, & to top it off it was inexpensive. ;)

I hadn't scanned this in when I posted my shoes earlier. None of it is new so I can I can use all of it as my something old.

Here is what I plan on wearing for my wedding accessories. The earings were my grandmother's (dad's mom) who passed away a long time ago. It's my way of having her there with me. The cross I've had for a while which my mother gave me and I like it being red for the holidays and celebrates for me my Christianity and getting married in a church, with a new denomination, etc. The ring has and interesting twist, but basically it ends with being FSU colors and that is where David graduated from.

The GOP oval thing is one of David's cufflinks. It's the whole reason we started with the elephant thing to begin with so that's what he wanted to wear. The photo isn't the best because I had to scan in the jewelry by laying it down on the scanner, the camera was just crappy.

thank you mrs. pugglesworth and maplekitty! :)

the headband is from thomas knoell (http://thomasknoell.com/) , but i haven't seen that particular one on his website. there are several very similar though! i purchased it at a trunk show, so i got 20% off. it was definitely more than i wanted to spend, but after looking around for so long, i sorta caved.

you might want to look on ebay too! that's where i found my purse, and i know many brides have gotten tiaras/headbands.

ETA: I got my jewlery and tiara and bridesmaids' jewlery from America's Mart in Atlanta. I have a friend who owns a jewlery business so she can buy from the suppliers and got it for me so much cheaper than from a bridal shop.

Here are my accessories!

This is the only good pic I have online where you can see my tiara:

I was originally going to wear a smaller one, but then I decided to upgrade so my flowergirl wore the original one. She was so excited that we were going to "match"!

http://images.snapfish.com/3454442323232%7Ffp7%3Enu%3D3232%3E%3B%3B9%3E867%3E 2323%3B%3B9958382ot1lsi

I had a total of 4 layers of tulle in my veil--a blusher, 2 fingertip layers, and a cathedral layer.

Here's me with just the 2 fingertip lengths:

I've seen some really unique jewelry recently that wasn't around when I got married. I opted for the pearls, which I borrowed from my aunt. I'm just curious... what kind of jewelry are you wearing with your gown?

Here are some of the sites I've found with some pretty things...

I wore two different necklaces. I wore my grandmother's pearls, that my grandfather bought in Hong Kong in the 1960's for the bridal party & family pictures and the "something borrowed" during the ceremony. I bought my bridesmaids a single strand of a pave crystal vine necklace by Nadri (from Nordstrom), and I bought all 3 of us earrings to match it. Photo of bridesmaids & me in that jewelry:

http://jgarnerphoto.com/hill/photos/058_h.jpg

For a wedding present, B bought me the triple-strand necklace that matched the Bridesmaid's necklace. I wore that for the him-n-me pictures, and the reception.

http://jgarnerphoto.com/hill/photos/017_h.jpg

I looove the necklace! It sparkles just like I am wearing 3 strands of diamonds - no joke. I'm trying to game how I can wear it again! I need to find some fancy dress to wear it with that isn't white satin. ;)

Definitely try here--she has made items for many members of this board (and the "other" board) and her work is amazing!

I used www.tradewindtiaras.com for some of my jewerly (and my veil) and for all my bridesmaid jewelry--they were great!

I found my bracelet at Macy's, my mom found my necklace at the mall back home (Springfield, MO) and of course there's my e-ring in there. I also wore simple pearl stud earings.

SO many of you have amazing accessories. I wish I had gone for glamour over comfort on the shoes :)

Here's a close-up of my jewelry. The vine pattern matched the embroidery on my dress.

My shoes were bought strictly for comfort. My bag was an old beaded purse from my deceased grandmother. My hanky was embroidered by my great aunt in the 1920's before she emigrated to the US:

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6dc33b3127cce97663991e92300000016108AbuGrRs3btk

My headpiece, which I LOVED, was from Brideshead (http://www.bridesheadonline.com/) in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm pretty sure it was called "Olivia" and I had to blue crystals custom added as my something blue.

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6dc33b3127cce97663003a92d00000015108AbuGrRs3btk

My necklace was just a strand of pearls I've had for about 10 years. The best part was that at the last minute I had to change my "something borrowed" and my mom had a pearl bracelet that matched EXACTLY to the necklace. Total coincidence and meant to be :)

My earrings were simple pearls and diamonds from Lord and Taylor. I've worn them several times since.

We're getting married on the beach, so I'll be barefoot, but I wanted pink accessories for the reception, which will be outside. So I bought a pink shawl and pink shoes.

Ok here are the accessories I have already bought:

http://images.snapfish.com/34656%3B737%7Ffp346%3Enu%3D3253%3E%3B74%3E%3A8%3A% 3EWSNRCG%3D323358%3C278866nu0mrj

Now here's my question. Does this tiarra go with what I already have? My dress is rather sparkely on the top and while my jewelry is more simple pearls, who doesn't want a sparkley tiarra. So I thought this one is a good combo. What do you think? (keep in mind the pearls would be white and the crystals would be clear on mine.)

Megs - I think it will be fine. Just test if all out together when you do your final hair and makeup trial. Can I ask where you bought your tiara? I saw the white version of it on ebay ages ago and now it's no longer available (seller stopped selling I think).

Girliegirl - I like it when people do unexpected things with their shoes under their dress. Its great that you can wear them again too!

My headpiece AND clutch purse came last evening! I didn't know if I would like them, but I absolutely looooooooooove them both! They are both from Target. (The idea is "grecian/vintage glam")

My shoes and pashmina (pale blue), both for the outdoor reception. Ceremony is on the beach, so no shoes :)

E-ring and wedding band, earrings, plus the right-hand pearl ring that was the first gift FH ever gave me.
