ugh, I have seen these before. Its actually quite scary.

I am not so sure about the "japan italy" trend, because these shoes are available on a US based fetish-sex website. That is where I originally saw them :)

I actually believed they might be from Japan until I saw the post about the fetish website, because I've seen Japanese tourists with really outlandish clothes and shoes (not to mention hairstyles and make-up). Plus, I've noticed that many of my fellow Asian women tend to be petite and like to wear 4"+ heels.

No kidding...my mom's side of the family is Japanese, and being 5'6, I tower over them. My mom is only 5' on a good day, and she's considered tall.
