What do you think of the name Avery Ryan? Boy, girl or goes both ways? I was thinking about it for a girl but it could work for a boy too don't you think?

Anywho, I think we need a name thread here. So share your favorites or ones that are just plain unique. Maybe someone will be inspired. :)

I think both names can go both ways (though Ryan is more commonly a boys name). I *love* the name Avery for a girl.....

I also love the name Avery, and I think Avery Ryan is a beautiful girls name. I do like Avery for a boy also, but think it fits better for a girl. :)

I know a girl who's name is Riann..."Ryan" if you want to play with the spelling a little bit.

I was going to suggest a different spelling for a girl-- what about Ryann (like Ry-ann)? LOVE the name. Avery is on my list too!

We are naming our little girl Avery Grace. I have a friend who named her little girl Ryan Elizabeth. I think Avery Ryan is precious. These days they are both pretty gender neutral.

Thanks for the feedback. I love the name! He's trying to talk me into Ryan Avery but his name is Ryan so that might be a little too much Ryan in one family. Not that I don't love the name Ryan but you know...At least I have time to wear him down. :p

Oh and Astara - I like the name you've picked. I think it's really cute!

I like Avery Ryan. My girlfriend named her daughter Ryann, super cute. I also like the name Rylann for a girl and Ryland for a boy.

I think Avery Ryan sound more Girl to me than boy...I ahve never heard of the name Avery for a boy.
