I like the 'puff' sleeves too. I was just reading the Jan. issue of Glamour magazine and their picks for 'Your must haves' are : An oversize bag, high waisted slouchy pants, a long tunic, platforms (patent leather), a feminine trench (belted at the waist), slim fit jeans, a black swingy sheath dress, a full high-wasted skirt, a cropped swingy jacket. I don't agree with all of these but this is Glamour mags opinion.

I agree! I'm dubious about the return of the high-waist and tapered pants. These are not good looks for me. I'm loving the red peep-toe heels though!

There have been some pleated pants out now, not so attractive, but they're there :)
Navy and white, I love it! That's hot right now.

I have been doing some vintage pre-shopping for the warmer weather. As for new things, I have my eye on this pretty dress right now:

Pleated pants are the worst. I've seen them too. Wendalah that dress is very pretty. I can pick and choose likes and dislikes from all 6 of the themes. I'm particularly fond of 2,3,&5. I like the colors from 1, but I like more structured clothing.

I wonder if this is what they mean by "high-waisted slouchy pants"?

How does one walk in those without tripping and falling? OTOH, hides most every flaw....

I keep hearing rumors that capri pants are out. What is that about? I have no idea what else I will wear in the spring/summer.

Last year everyone in Milan was wearing shorts. Previous to last year that was a HUGE no-no. I mean, shorts = American.
The shorter the better apparently.
Bermudas will probably still be ok.

I haven't been brave enough to try on Bermudas or long shorts. I was at J Crew yesterday and I was tempted because they were on sale, but I just don't understand how they can be flattering. Does anyone own a pair? If so, how do you wear them?

I have two pairs that I got last year-one in khaki and one in black. I love them because i have short legs and capris are no good for me. I wear the bermudas with leather sandals, or open toe, wedge heels (old navy has some really cut ones right now). I pair them with a cute top and a cardigan if needed (my work has a/c).

I can't wait for the man leggings to catch on, especially with the Denny's-discount set. Nothing like walking around displaying your wrinkled old walnuts for all the world to see.
I am loving the puff sleeves, but I can't seem to find any realistic looking ones. The ones in the magazines are comically exaggerated; I'd like a similar look but more sleek.

I feel really stupid asking, but what is the name of the type of dress that looks like this top below, only it's a long dress? Linda and Brooke Hogan wear them a lot on Hogan Knows Best.

I have one pair of bermudas and I only wear them with high heels. I am really short though (5'0") so unless I am wearing killer heels, they cut me off and make me look even shorter.
I would also look under empire waist for that style.
According to the fashion mags here, we should also look forward to chunky bangles (at least 3 at a time on one wrist), brightly colored ballerinas, buttons as accessories, and giraffe print.
I'm also seeing tons of lace at the stores. I just saw this amazing antique colored battenburg lace trench coat with satin cuffs. Too bad it was like $800.
Trench coats are in too. Even really short ones.
Oh and I bought a puff sleeve shirt from Dockers last year. It's really subtle. I also have one from Zara that has a bib front.
