or brusied gums?
My 8 month old DD is teething and has what looks like bruise or a blood blister her gum on the left side of her two upper center teeth. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think that is normal with teething, especially with the top teeth.

Don't be alarmed if you notice a mushy blue blister above an erupting tooth. This is actually a collection of blood beneath the superficial layer of gum tissue. These painful swellings are best treated by cool compresses (for example, popsicles), which soothe the swelling.

Yeah, DD had one of these after her second tooth pushed through - it was right behind the tooth on the gum line. I noticed it while feeding her solids one morning, so I got worried that she'd bit the spoon too hard. A call to her ped confirmed it was just a part of teething, and it was gone within a day or two.

what about this...DD has too little blistery looking things on the outside of her gums where her top teeth will come in. Does this mean they are imminent (as in I should brace myself now)? She got her first tooth on 12/25, her second on 1/5. I assume the top ones are due any day!
