Hi! I'm hoping that someone can help me. I'm usually pretty good putting outfits together, but I'm blanking right now!

I won tickets to go to a taping of the Rachael Ray show for next week. The dress code is this(From the Rachael Ray studio)
• What to wear: Dress your Best! All audience members may appear on camera. Business /Trendy is strongly recommended. Warm colors photograph best, and we ask that you refrain from wearing white, off white, or light pink tops/shirts. No hats, t-shirts, shorts, carpri’s, ripped jeans, flip flops, sneakers or sleeveless tops. Please do not wear anything with sequins, or a very busy pattern

Does anyone have any idea's? I'm sure I have something in my closet, but I could definately use this as an excuse to buy a new outfit (I haven't bought myself anything since I've had my DD).

TIA!:)

hi there :) I say definitely wear something that you feel great in, but also keep it simple. like maybe a black turtleneck sweater and your favorite jeans with heels. or black pants and a sweater or top in your personal best color. you might feel dressier in that than wearing jeans.

the good news, if you do happen to turn this into a shopping trip, is that everything is on sale. macy's is having a 1 day, this saturday. have fun!!

and that is so great that you won tickets!

I love Rachael Ray and I so want tickets to her show!

That said, I've been to a bunch of TV tapings in NYC. Seems that most people wear nice blouses, sweater sets or the like in brighter colors. Most seem to wear nicer pants, although I'm sure you could get away with dressier jeans & heels.

Here's more from the site:

what to wear:
Dress to impress! All audience members should follow a business casual dress code. You’ll look your best on camera in jewel-tone solid colors like deep blues, reds, greens, etc.

I hope you have fun shopping for something!

What a fun excuse to shop for a new outfit! Here are some suggestions, for what they're worth. :)

Any of these tops would look great with trousers and heels.

I would stay away from black unless you want to be seated in the way back rows. I really like the orange top posted - maybe with some dark wash jeans and nice brown boots.
