View Full Version : Paris Las Vegas or Caesar's Palace for a DW?

I have never been to Las Vegas, but we are having our September wedding there. It's not a small wedding, but we wanted to have it somewhere fun and different. Because we are expecting at least 80 people, we have narrowed the location for the wedding down to the Paris hotel, and Caesar's Palace.
I was hoping I could get the opinions of the women here on which hotel is preferable, as I have never been there. Also, if you know of another hotel that you think would be a good choice, please feel free to let me know. I have done a fair share of internet research, but it isn't the same as going there. The Wynn, Venetian, and Bellagio are out of our price ranges, however. Thanks so much!

I've only been to Vegas once, and I stayed at the Paris and absolutely loved it. Caesar's is beautiful, too, and I honestly don't know what either of the chapels or reception areas look like, but to me, the Paris just has a more "romantic" feel to it. I guess I think of Caesar's in more of a fun, party kind of way - but of course, that could be just because that's what I did while I was there!

I will say that while I have not been to a wedding at either of the hotels, I've been in them both and will have to choose Paris. My biggest reason for this is that Caesar's is a considerably older hotel (by Vegas standards, that is) and Paris is much more recently built. I am almost positive that their chapel would therefore be much nicer and more modern. Also, as a PP said, Caesar's definitely attracts a younger, partying-type of crowd. Just things to keep in mind!

I just got back from Vegas and while I like both hotels Paris does seem more romantic than Caesars. But in quickly looking at their wedding packages I think Caesars has more to offer so that's why I choose Caesars.
Good Luck with your decision!

I stayed at Caesars a year ago and loved it. I saw MANY brides there! Both hotels are beautiful. Paris seems more romantic, but I think Caesars would be my choice.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate all the input!
We had our wedding off the strip at a place called Victoria's. It was an all inclusive package that included the ceremony, flowers, photographer, DJ, limo, cake and buffet reception. For fifty people (at the time) it was only $3K. This was a HUGE bargain.
We also looked into reserving a block of time-share rooms (rented as a hotel) for WAY less than anyone could have stayed on the strip. We had 2-bedroom apartments for $109 (1-bedroom apartments went for $89). Something we didn't foresee and never could explain, by the time the wedding rolled around, the entire strip was SOLD OUT! So those last minute folks hoping to stay on the strip were really out of luck.
It saved everyone big money. We all still went to the strip almost nightly (they had shuttles). Everyone had their own kitchen (folks with kids loved that), and the pool stayed open until 11:00 each night - unlike the hotels where they close to the public to turn into bars. They also worked with us to keep everyone blocked together in two buildings.
If you would like any info, I'd be more than willing to share it (as well as give a link to our pictures). Just drop me a PM.

I PMed you, Katy! Thanks!
I went to a wedding ceremony at Paris, and it was very nice--not Vegas-y, no Elvis. The reception was at another casino, so I can't speak to that part.

Of the two you have listed I would choose Paris.
However, have you considered Excalibur? I have seen most of the Hotel chapels first hand (originally DH and I were going to have a Vegas wedding), and have to say, without a doubt, that the chapel at the Excalibur is probably the most beautiful in Las Vegas.

I am pretty sure that with some of their packages you could have 80 guests.

Gayle-- I LOVE the Excalibur chapel! That was our first choice, and I still just love it. I'll double check how many they can fit, because I was told 70 max before. 80 is our absolute minimum.

So, I checked with Excalibur. They have seating for 72, with standing room for another 15. Considering we have an 18 person bridal party, we can fit 105, not counting the bride and groom. Thanks, Gayle!

All right!! You have to post LOTS of pictures of your wedding. I so love that chapel and toss around the notion of having a renewal there :)

I was a Caesars bride. We also looked at Paris, but thought their chapels looked funeral-ish. Everything went perfectly and even though the property itself has been around for a while, it is always seems to undergoing some kind of update and has never appeared "old".

We thought about having our wedding in Vegas, but ultimately decided against it since we couldn't find a chapel large enough to accomodate us that was cheaper than what we could have done here. Since we were able to have a wedding in our hometown for cheaper than what the Vegas wedding would have cost us, we opted for a hometown wedding.
Good luck finding one that large to accomodate your wedding!

We went with Mandalay Bay's Chapel By The Bay. We could seat 100.
Apparently they re-did the chapel. It looks more to my tastes now than when we were married.

We stayed at the Paris hotel last year and it was nice, but after awhile it seemed kind of small. I looked at the chapel and it was very pretty and somewhat formal looking.

I was in Vegas for New Years to look at Ceasars because we are thinking about geting married there.
All of Ceasars has been completely remodeled and is gorgeous!
They have a chapel that is large enough to hold over a 100 people.
The chapels are beautiful & elegant!!!!!
It doesn't even seem like you are in Vegas.
I didn't make it over to the Paris but I did go to the Rio & to the Treasure Island.
Both of those wedding areas looked dated and in need of a make over.
