Something functional and comfortable for my 15-month old, but cheap (under $50) so that I won't have a cow if it gets mangled on the plane.
Do you have one that you like?
Here are some that I found...any suggestions/comments?

I have not used any of the ones you have posted. We do own a stroller like the last one but have honestly never used it (It was one of those "free stroller with purchase" kind of things). We do have a Chicco stroller- it is a bit more expensive than what you are looking for but it has served us really well. We are now using it with baby #2. I have taken it on flights, to Disney, around the mall, just about everywhere. I like that it does recline (slightly) yet still folds up compact. Anyway, here's a link- and good luck! Oh, there are other Chicco strollers but this is the one that we have- in an different color.

Hiya!
You know how much I travel and how pissed I was when my P3 got mangled by the airline one trip....this is the travel stroller we have:
Chicco Capri Stroller

It's $60, not $50, but there's always coupons and discount codes floating around so I thought I'd put it out there. Plus:
- it has held up through many, many, many flights!
- it is a cinch to fold/unfold with one hand while keeping a toddler from running away with the other
- there's a latch so when you do fold it, it stays closed
- only weighs 10lbs
- has 2 backrest positions (I like to call them "upright" and "nap" ;) )
- you'd be the perfect height for it...I sometimes kick the wheels when i'm really going, but if i were your height it would be just right
- since it is little, when we get to the jetway I pop it into my P3 travel bag with our coats and anything else we don't want to take on the plane...very handy
There's also a couple other threads here that talk about lightweight & inexpensive umbrella strollers, particulary for travel...if I find it I'll post the link here for you!

Thanks!
Kim- you were *exactly* who I had in mind with my "mangled stroller" comment! Ha!
I'll check that one out. I like that color too!

We have the second one you posted. It is super-lightweight and a cinch to unfold. I've walked around town with it and it holds up great/feels sturdy. There is def. room to grow too. The negatives would be the sunshade is pretty much useless and there isn't storage, but for your purpose I'm sure it would be adequate...

Okaaaaay...after spending all day researching cheapo travel strollers, my husband comes home with a $100 McClaren Volo!
Well....who am I to complain? :p It's an uber sassy saffron Orange.

So the kid will be travelling in style.

I was going to say that I'd look for a used Volo (or new ;) ) before I'd buy a cheapie one. A good stroller is super important to me. Nice choice by your dh!

We recently got the Volo for traveling too and it is perfect.
We have a Maclarent Techno XT as our "main" stroller. We recently bought a $20 cheapo umbrella stroller from BRU. Kolcraft. Took it to Hawaii and back and it worked GREAT. Now, we keep it at my parents' place for use whenever DD stays over there.
