I'm from up north in Reno. I don't live in Nevada any more, but I grew up there, my whole family is still there, and I am getting married there in two months! I don't know how you Vegas girls can stand the heat and all the people.:)

haha. well the heat isn't so bad to me at least, you get used to it after 22 years. During the summer I just tend to stay indoors most of the time. You just make it a point of not going to lunch that often during the summer so you are in your cool office all day. lol! I do have to say it is so true about the dry heat. My fiance is from Indiana and I went there for the first for a 4th of July celebration. OMG. how glad am I that I don't live in humidity.

Thanks a bunch...I've actually got alot done online this past week. I can't believe how much you can do online. I looked at apartments and applied for some jobs. I'm making a visit on the 16th for interviews and apt appointments.

I am so glad this thread exists. I lived in Orange County, CA until last Sept. My DH and I moved to the Henderson area in Sept 2005...so we have been here almost 1 yr. I am still adjusting, as it is very different from the OC...but I do like it and have to say that the Green Valley/Henderson area reminds me alot of the OC. Although I myself don't live in the Green Valley area. As far as the heat...I LOVE IT! All I can say is DRY heat is GREAT!!!!

We are actually expecting our first child in August so that has kept us busy:)

Other then that...I don't really know alot of people (although I do have quite a bit of family in the area).

LINZnWILL....I have only heard of the Red Rock area but have not been out there....but I hear it is beautiful out there

SHG...looks like we are neighbors. My mom and I love to look at model homes and plan to visit the Tuscany planned community.....have you heard of that area?

oh you have to come out to Red Rock sometime. It is absolutely beautiful! There is a scenic drive you can take, it is really awesome, if you are lucky you will even see a couple Burros. :D
