I'd love to see ideas from other brides who made their own programs.

I'd ideally love a simple, one thick piece of cardstock with all our info on it. Something so simple it will only take a few hours to put together. We don't have much to write on there so I'd love two columns with info but I'm not sure how much we really need to share as I haven't decided on music and will not decide until the week before.

TIA!!!

if only i had a picture to share!
we had the EXACT program that you speak of!

it was one page, folded and sealed w/a wax seal.
inside the program:
on the left side it had the "order of event" we kept it simple and mentioned no songs or readings. it read like this:
Prelude
Processional
Wedding Processional
Greeting
Readings
Exchange of Wedding Vows
Blessing of Rings
Prayer of the Faithful
Presentation of Gifts
Communion
An Irish Wedding Blessing

and on the right side we listed the bridal party's names, grandparents, parents, priest, musicians, etc.
with a small "note to guests" along the bottom.

sorry for the lack of picture, but i made our programs at work one day and printed them in less than an hr! the longest part was folding/sealing them!

Good luck!

Ours were almost just like these except ours were trifold.

Because of our budget we are not 'allowed' to see our ceremony wording or anything until that day. We had to go with the cheapest option of just the rabbi showing up and saying her thing. I'm kind of bummed because while I always wanted a plain traditional ceremony I would have liked to know how things would work.

All that being said, I don't think I will do a program but I want the option so keep them coming! If I find the picture of what I was looking for I will post it!

We did a sort of "flip book" type of style program:

I used patterned and plain cardstock w/ grommets to hold them together:

Our wedding was a *very* casual deal on the beach, so they weren't very fancy.

Well, this isn't a single-page program, but it might give someone an idea.

We did a side-folding booklet that was about 5.5" wide by 4.25" tall when folded. The cover was vellum and the inside pages were Stardream paper... I think Quartz

The first page was important people like our officiant.

Then the order of ceremony (including music) and the reading. This pic probably gives the best idea of what the stardream paper looks like.

A brief history of our venue, and a special thank you

Back page with a quote as seen through vellum

I did the little booklet-style programs similar to what nicole posted above. I have a template I can share for this type of layout, in case anyone is interested:

Booklet-style wedding program template (http://www.geocities.com/mayberry_lady1/SazooProgram.html)

I got this template from another bride when I was planning my wedding back in 2004, so I'm happy to pass it along to other brides. ;)
