Does anyone order from Newport News? I'm going on vacation next weekend and they have a really cute suit I'd like to order for my trip. How is their sizing? Does it run small? Also, how long does their shipping take? More than a week?

Amorey, I just ordered a few bathing suits from them and they are true to size. I had no problems with my order and returns are easy.
They did arrive fairly quickly, but I don't think they came in less than a week. You may want to rush your order if you want it by next weekend.

NO...I have boycotted that cataloge..
Someone stole my identity and ordered a crapload from them. From being the nice business that they are, they first sent me a post card saying "hi, we received a large order from you but would like you to call us BEFORE we send it, just for confirmation".
I called to tell them my info has been stolen and someone used my card for this purchase and their reply "Oh, we already sent out the items"
Their customer service is horrible. I stay away at all costs.

My sister and I have both ordered numerous times from Newport News over the past 5 years. I have found their suits run true to size but that they aren't the best quality (which should be evident by the realitively cheap pricetag). If you wear their suits a lot then they won't last a season (my sister wore hers 3-4 times per week for the summer), but I purchased a few just for vacation and our honeymoon and I still wear them occasionally with no stretching/fading issues.

I've found them to be kinda hit and miss, personally. Some items I've had great luck with, while other items I've been really dissapointed in. I've found their items to be true to size most of the time, but sometimes they've been off, too. I think they're worth a shot if you're really into something they have, though. :)
I honestly can't remember how long shipping takes. If I recall correctly, they have a bit of a bad habit of allowing you to place an order for items that aren't actually in stock. In fact, that may be the reason I haven't ordered from them for quite some time.

I'm not a huge fan of the quality of their clothes but I do like the prices so when I need stuff that is trendya nd I won't wear forever, I order from NN or Chadwick's.

I am looking at some (women's sized) horse riding boots for my daughter and am wondering if anyone knows if their shoe sizes, or more specifically their boot sizes, are true to size?
Kind of a dumb question, but I don't normally order shoes; we tend to actually try them on before purchase.

Kind of a dumb question, but I don't normally order shoes; we tend to actually try them on before purchase. I've ordered boots from them before and they fit great. I was worried of course that I couldn't try them on but I ordered my size (9 1/2 ) and the fit was accurate. Which boots are you looking at?
I've also ordered other things from both them and their sister catalog, Spiegel with no problems.
i don't know if i would order boots from a catlogue. i find that boots are usually much too big for me around the calf, so very few actually fit me well. also, they can be too small for some people with bigger calves.
