Any recomendations for a men's watch? Brands? DH used to have a Fossil one that he liked but lost it. He loses lots of things so nothing too over the top.

Well, I am not sure what over the top is for you. But Rolex makes a nice one called the Cellini Classic. It's not nearly as expensive as most of their other watches. SO has one he wears once in awhile (he has since gotten a metal one that he usually wears) and it's a very beautiful watch. :)

Very nice, but I was thinking of a metal one (not a leather strap). More of an everyday watch.

DH has a Movado watch that he loves (from me :) ), similar to this one (http://www.movado.com/Details.aspx?Id=mens&watchType=Mens&watchCode=&watchId=605619&page=2).

I personally like TAG Heuer watches, but they are in the expensive side and since your DH loses everything, check out Citizen Eco-Drive. They're nice watches and they go for around $280

It's hard to buy a watch for someone when you know they may lose or break it. Given that, I'm going to suggest Skagen watches. From everything I've seen and heard, they're well made and hold up well, and they're under $200, some even under $100.

Isn't that the truth? We were married just over a year when he lost his wedding ring (his grandfather's ring that fit him perfectly, no sizing needed). Shortly after that, he lost his cell phone and now his watch!

This (http://www.restorationhardware.com/rh/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=prod1230007&navAction=jump) watch is from Restoration Hardware. I found it yesterday, and think that it sounds interesting. I don't know anything about their products, so I can't vouch for anything. I don't know if you're set on one, but it doesn't have a metal band.

For an inexpensive, but fashionable watch check out the Kenneth Cole brand. They have some really great styles. DH also has a Skagen and it is a nice watch too. I just think the KC are pretty innovative.

I got BF a Kenneth Cole watch last Christmas and he loves it. It's similar to this one in the design but the face is different. I think I paid a little over $100.

I like this one - my DH looooves it - and about $200 - The Nixon Rotologue.

They have tons of nice watches that are reasonable: http://www.nixonnow.com/mens-watches/

I bought my DH a Nixon watch for our anniversary. It was $200. I think it's a very unique watch and he gets compliments on it from strangers every time he wears it.

I was going to say the Eco Drive as well. It's sort of the trendy everyday watch for fanatics. Very affordable and has a well-built mechanism.

I got FH a Fossil watch that winds itself with the motion of your arm so I won't have to worry about him needing batteries. It was only $95.

I bought DH a Citizen Eco-Drive last year and he loves it. It seems to be very well made.

DH is happy with his Swiss Army watch.

I third (or fourth) the Citizen Eco-Drive. I bought DH one a few years ago and he loves it. Also, we had to return it for repairs soon after we bought it (for some fluke reason) and the process was so easy and painless.

I don't know a lot about watches, but this is a great deal on Overstock: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=2091759

Jacques Lemans is not a well known brand, but from what I was able to find out, they have been making quality Swiss watches for over 20 years with sapphire crystal and stand by their warranty. And $299 for an automatic movement is a great price. I'm a little envious of this deal. The watch I bought DH isn't an automatic, but it is gorgeous, with a heavy steel bracelet and attractive face. His old Seiko watch looks flimsy and dull in comparison.

My DH also has a citizen Eco Drive watch for everyday. Great price, great watch that looks nice!

You may have already gotten the watch, but for those looking for nice men's watches, Todd got me an Ebel Watch (www.ebel.com) for Christmas. They have both watches for men and women and they are beautiful! :)

Heather may I ask what the price ranges of ebels are? I am looking for a new watch for myself and like the look of them!

ETA: Nevermind I looked them up!

My DH has both a Kenneth Cole and a Movado... I have to admit that he tend to wear the KC more because he says he just feels more comfortable in it and I think he likes the swiss movement.
