View Full Version : Body Scrub Suggestions?
I *love* bath & shower products and am always on the lookout for new ones. Right now, my current favorite is Give Me Some Sugar (http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/browse.do?nav_keyword=body.body_scrubs&product_detail_keyword=tbs.island.give_me_some_sug ar_body_scrub) from Bath and Bodyworks. It's a mild aroma and not too greasy. But I'd love some other suggestions to check out.

I just discovered a wonderful Elizabeth Arden Cream & Sugar Scrub. They have it in 4 fragrances and it's awesome stuff. I like it because it not only exfoliates but has shea butter and other oils that leave your skin feeling the smoothest I've ever felt. I got it at their spa, so I don't know if you can buy it elsewhere. I like it so much I bought some for my mom to try.

Victoria's Secret has a new sugar line for their garden fragrances.
They work great except I used it once as a body wash and ended up quite sticky!

I love the VS sugar scrubs. I received a card in the mail for a free one, otherwise I probably would never have tried it, and I'm hoked. The scent lingers a long time too, which is a big bonus for me.

Some of my favorites are BBW Mocha My Day, any of the Philosophy scrubs, especially Senorita Margarita, and for Drugstores, I really like the Pure Spring Scrubs at Rite Aid, They often have sales of Buy 1 , Get 1 Free, so you get 2 for 9.99.
VS sugar scrubs in the Garden Fragrance....does that include my all time favorite, pear glace?!?!? If so, I am THERE!
And sale scrubs at Rite Aid...I will have to look into that as well!
I just now used my Origins FretNot scrub/wash and yummy. I love the smell, but it could use my scrub.

If the Pear scent is still available....then yes :D

I love BBW's Give Me Some Sugar too!
Another one I really love is Bliss' Super Slough Scrub

I have both In the Mood for Scrub and Need a Margarita from Bath and Body Works. In the Mood for Scrub is sudsing, and not greasy since there are few moisturizers in it (but I also have to put on lotion afterwards). Need a Margarita smells great and is moisturizing, so no need for lotion- I don't think it's very greasy, either.

my favorite scrubs are from trader joe's. they have both salt and sugar formulas, with fantastic scents and at $6.99 each, I don't feel guilty about using them every other day. they are very moisturizing, but a little slippery in the tub! i'm too lazy to go into the bathroom to check out the name right now.

I love Ohm by Olay Exfoliating Body Scrub, Rose & Jasmine. I tried it because it was one of Cosmo's beauty picks and I usually love what they recommend, and this was no exception.

That Ohm stuff broke me out in a horrible rash - I'm usually okay with any and all product. Was too bad as I liked the aroma. FYI, last time I was in Big Lots, I saw that they had the line there (didn't know if you'd be interested)

I LOVE The Body Shop's scrubs.
The mango scrub is especially yummy

But they have many others that are not fruity if you prefer something else.
Also... if you have dry skin, their body butters are to die for. I have always had very dry skin until I found them. I use the ones for Extra Dry Skin (Mango, Coconut, nut).

Some of my favorites:
Garden Botanika Pomegranate Wine Body Polish

Jenny, where are you finding Garden Botanika stuff? I thought they closed their stores years ago?!? They had an eyeliner and a peppermint scrub that I loved.

Katy I just bought it online at Nordstrom since we don't have any stores in my state. I LOVE it! I am a wine nut and also obsessed with pomegranate scents so it is perfect for me.
Jenny, thanks for letting me know. I'll definately keep that in mind for my *next* batch of scrubs (like I'd stop at trying only a few :D)

At the last industry show I attended I found LaLicious (http://www.lalicious.com/) scrubs and body butters and love them! It's a sugar scrub that's whipped so there is no nasty oil seperation. Also, sugar scrubs dissolve quicker so you don't risk small skin tears like you do with salt scrubs. I use it in the shower 2x a week and don't even need moisturizer afterwards. I also use their oils and body butters. My fav flavor right now is Coconut Cream.

So I have a weakness for anything that might make my skin softer *and* smells good....
I went to an event at Fresh in Boston and I tried their Sugar Body Polish... ohhhh man!! It's wonderful stuff!!

The downside is that it is $62.50... yikes.

I've recently gotten hooked on 100% Pure body scrubs. I have two: strawberry butter and coconut. They smell great, aren't greasy, and are all natural. I got mine at Bath and Body Works, but they also sell them from their website. www.100percentpure.com
J&T, I've always wanted to try the Fresh scrub, but the price scares me away! ;) Glad to know it's good though.

This link works (www.100percentpure.com/)...you have to spell out percent.

Thanks, Foley. I fixed the link. It's confusing because it's not spelled out on the product. Still great stuff, though!

Trader Joe's sells a couple of sugar scrubs for very cheap ($5 for a big jar) and I love them. I have the grapefruit one, and it's such a great refreshing scent -- perfect for morning!
Good to see this thread bumped up! I currently have some Bath & Infused scrubs and I love them!! But I'm thinking of trying some of the TJ's scrubs. In fact, I was planning to head over to find something for dinner, so I'll just have to pick me up one!!

Trader Joe's? No way!!!
I am so going over there to pick up some!!
I picked up the Tangerine Sugar Scrub from TJ's and I'm in love! The scent is so sweet and stays with you for a couple of hours (it's been four hours now and I can STILL smell it). Really, I smell good enough to eat!! :D
