Santa Barbara for New Year's Eve?

I need some help with our NYE plans! We're going to Santa Barbara, and we were thinking of making reservations at a restaurant that also has a fun bar/club so we can just stay in one place. I actually went to UCSB, and we go up there all the time, but I've never been there for NYE!

I'm thinking State Street because it's close to our house, and then we can hop into other bars if we want, but anywhere in SB would be fine.

Any suggestions???

I don't know what it will be like on NYE, but when I was on State street this summer, the place was a mob of college kids--so if you're like me and want to avoid that, I would look somewhere else.

It's actually not as bad on NYE because most of the kids aren't there, but we'll probably go somewhere off State that's less of a bar...we're still looking though!
