Welcome everyone!
I updated the thread with everyone's info. Please let me know if there are any changes that need to be made.
Let's try to do a QOTW. I'll start.
QOTW
What did you do before starting a family? Are you in the same field? Are you a SAHM or WAHM? Are you working, but in a different profession?

You know, technically Nathan was born on January 31st, but he was due in February and I cannot leave my group! :)

QOTW: I'm still doing what I was doing before Nathan...an executive assistant. It's kind of my place holder job until I figure out what I want to do. Ultimately I think I want to go into recruiting. I can do this within my current company, but think I'm going to wait until my boss retires (probably in about 2 years) and then switch over. I don't mind working because Nathan is in my company's daycare, so I have access to him whenever. Although, we are talking about #2 and I just might consider part time. :)
I like the QOTW thing! We need to start updating in here more often!
Candy
12-11-2006, 01:18 PM
Jess you better not leave us! Nathan will always be a "Bebruary" baby. ;)
firefly I had no idea that was you!
Guess I should answer my own QOTW.
Prior to having Maya I too was an executive assistant for a commercial real estate company. Up until August I was a SAHM. Now I watch a wonderful, 2.5 year old boy. I'm not sure what I want to do when I return to the work force. I'd love to be a nurse or midwife. I'm also interested in lactation consultant.

QOTW-Before Greydon was born and we just had one in daycare, I worked for a local health company (the largest in the state). Clinics, hospitals, etc. I worked on claims that were denied by insurance companies. I LOVED my job and hated to leave, but with 2 in daycare, it just wasn't worth me working. So, now I'm a SAHM. And I couldn't be happier to be that. It's always been my dream and I'm so glad it's come true. I'll be going back to work someday, when this little one (who arrives 6 weeks from today  ) is the only one in daycare...

QOTW: I am currently a SAHM. I used to be a graphic designer for a high tech semiconductor company until I had Roman. We've since moved to the Seattle area and I'm thinking of going back to work part time early next year (still in graphic design). I work on client projects here and there at home, but want to focus on something more stable soon!

QOTW- Count me in as another exutive assistant. I was a SAHM for the last 2 years, and just returned to work a few months ago. Since we recently moved to CT, when I returned to work, it was for a different company. I have been contemplating returning to school to work in another field, I'm just not sure what I want to do. I work in a mostly commercial real estate office, and my boss is trying to talk me into getting my real estate license but I'm not sure that's what I want to do.

Abbey, I was just reading through the thread about what age DC knows ABC's. Maya & Morgann are so much alike. It's hilarious!
HGMorgann
12-15-2006, 11:15 AM
Yep, she is obsessed with them! She plays with her letters like she plays with all her other toys. That is fun that Maya loves them too. Does she like to sing a lot as well (other songs?) Edited to add: I just read your post over in the other thread. Wow, they are SO much a like....sneaking to read books by themselves in their chairs too! :-) Where did you get the foam bathtub letters? M. would LOVE them and it'd make a good present as well.
We are missing the letter "N" right now. She keeps looking for it saying: "NOAH, Where are you?" Because N is for Noah!
Candy
12-16-2006, 10:02 AM
N is for Noah. HA, that too sounds just like Maya. She's always asking where things went. "Mommy, where did the kitty cat go"? "Where did the 'fill in the blank' go? It's her favorite sentence. lol
Yep, she LOVES to sing. Her current faves are, "Twinkle, Twinkle" (which she knows all the words to), "ABC's", and "Old MacDonald". I love when she sings. :D
We got the foam bath letters at Target.
jess&dan
12-18-2006, 06:26 PM
I'll chime in that Nathan is another one who loves to sing. He's always requesting "Old McDonald" and only wants to hear about the cow, pig, or horse. Sometimes a dog. :) He LOVES "Wheels on the Bus" and right now he's really in love with "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". He'll get real stern and point is finger during the "You better not cry" part. :)

I still can't believe how verbal your kiddos all are! Roman is not behind by any means, just not as crazy verbal as the rest of the Feb kiddos! In fact, he's only now really starting to put some words together ("Mama, eat puffs! Light tree!").
He's not really singing songs with me, but will burst out a word or two when I'm singing to him or he hears his favorite song (which, funnily enough, is Hey Ya by Outkast). I hear a lot of "Hey!" and "Oh, oh!" :)
We are doing well, considering all the craziness of the last month (those of you on LJ know what is going on). I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season with your families!
wagsgirl
12-22-2006, 08:58 PM
Don't worry. Greydon's not as far along either. He requests "A B" (the ABC's), but doesn't sing. And "Bus" (Wheels on the bus). He does the motions, but no words. He's putting 2-3 words together pretty consistently, but lots of time, it's just one word. I think it's because he can't get a word in because of his sister.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!!! Merry Christmas (what we celebrate ;) ) from our family to yours.

Happy New Year ladies! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We had a great time and Nathan was really into it this year...although, MIL brought so many gifts that he actually got bored with opening! His favorite gifts were his tents (he got 2 and MIL has informed us a third is coming...don't even get me started! ) and his GeoTrax train set. He also got a little Thomas train that he is in love with. So it looks like trains are his thing right now. He was spoiled beyond belief and got way too much, but he's the only grandchild, so I guess that's to be expected.
So now I'm planning his birthday party. He'll have a party at daycare with all his little friends and then we'll have one with family and friends. I was between themes since he really loves a number of things, but I think we're going with Thomas because he is obsessed with that right now. My friend suggested a cake person and she has gorgeous Thomas cakes on her website and is priced great, so we're looking forward to that. I just can't believe I'm planning his second birthday party already! What happened to the past 2 years? That and we are discussing baby #2, which is just so odd to me. I look at Nathan and can't imagine being able to create another perfect little person. Crazy!
So I guess my QOTW is what birthday ideas are you tossing around??
blondegirl

Happy New Year everyone!! I can't believe our babies are turning two. Crazy!
Jess- Isn't it crazy to think that you could ever love another the way you love the first child?? I can't believe how much love I have for all my little ones!!!
We also had a wonderful holiday, and everyone got way too many toys! I started to try and put it all away last night, and I just don't know where to put everything!! Skylar's fave was definately the play kitchen. And she is loving all of Jace's toys - just because they are his!!
I am really bummed, because I lost my camera on Christmas Day. I had some great pics from Hanukkah, Christmas Eve, and Christmas that I hadn't uploaded yet. Yikes! I'm still holdiong out hope that it will turn up somewhere (though the idea of getting a new camera is making me a little happy!!)
QOTW- We are doing a Sesame Smiles theme this year, just because I am doing a joint party and I wanted something that I could use for both kids. And Skylar just adores Elmo. We'll be doing a party at home in mid Feb, with sandwiches, chicken, salads, snacks, etc. I'm thinking of doing cupcakes this year, with elmo faces on them. We'll also do a little party at daycare. Nothing fancy this year, definately thinking of doing a gym party next year, but who wants to think that far ahead???

Happy New Year everyone!
Our Christmas was good--Roman's favorite toys from Christmas are his bowling set (he has really good aim!), his new red wagon and his Bob the Builder workbench. We didn't go too crazy, which is great because I am running out of room for all of his toys. Plus his birthday is coming up very soon so he'll get more stuff then!
Speaking of his birthday, we decided to go with an airplane theme because the boy is obsessed. He *loves* all things that fly. I found new PBK airplane sheets/pillowcases/shams/duvet cover on eBay and outfitted his crib with the new stuff. I think we're going to convert the crib to a toddler bed soon. Yes, we still haven't done it but I think he'll be more ready by his birthday. He moves so much when he sleeps which is why I don't think he's quite ready for it, but he's getting better at staying in one spot.
Anyway, back to his birthday: we're doing snack food, cupcakes, etc. We're inviting Roman's friends from playgroup/gymboree and the ILs will be the only family present since we don't live close to family.

We're doing a Thomas birthday for Aidan, he just loves Thomas and all the choo-choo stuff :D probably in the afternoon so he is fresh from his nap.
Both boys were spoiled rotten for Christmas, they had so many toys that I've put half of them in the garage for now because otherwise there wouldn't be anywhere to walk around here. Aidan has a fleet of vehicles to ride on - a toy Harley, a couple of ride on trucks, and a new red wagon - and a toy Aston Martin that my sister decided to hold on to for his birthday instead of giving it to him for Christmas. Good grief. He has more clothes and cars than I ever will :D

Happy New Year! Happy Birthday James - our first official 2 year old!
We are doing well. I haven't even thought about M's birthday yet. We are working on potty training. its going pretty well. She wears panties in the mornings. Then pull ups for nap/afternoon. I need to stick her in panties in the afternoon too - shes willing to try, I'm just not there yet!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Hi you guys! I'm sorry we've been MIA, it's been a very busy holidays and January for us and now that things are dying down a bit, I can finally catch up. I think about all of our Feb. babies and can't believe how they've grown!

DS Elliott 2/24/05
Elliott had a great Christmas too. Like Nathan, he got a GeoTrax train set and LOVES Thomas as well. (Guess what he gets for his bday). Speaking of the GeoTrax - man, it's hard to find stuff for them. Some pieces are so hard to find and are being sold on EBay for 2 - 3 times retail. Insanity.
Anyways, Elliott had a big day a couple weeks ago - "spend whole night at Grandma's". I was so afraid he would not be ok, but he didn't want to come home!! Thankful, yes, but a little sad that my baby isn't so much of a baby anymore.
We're not doing anything too special for his bday. I'm getting a Thomas cake and plates (his request) and then going to a local indoor kids museum on the actual day (Friday) and the zoo with Daddy the day after (weather permitting). To be honest, I don't want any more toys!! Besides, he won't care and he'll have his cousins and grandma over here and will love that.
I'll update with some photos once I load them!
So glad to see all of your beautiful babes and HAPPY BDAY JAMES!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN!!!
To be honest, I don't want any more toys!!
Isn't this true!! We asked all the relatives for clothes since we DO NOT NEED any more toys!!
We are trying to work on potty training here. Skylar will go pee on the potty if I can get her to sit on it, but getting her to actually sit on it is really hit or miss! Most times I ask her if she wants to go potty, she says "NO". Same thing with big girl undies. She was very excited to get them, but isn't interested in wearing them all the time. I can't force her if she's not ready!!
Skylar is really turning into a little lady. She talks so much and each day she says more and more words. Listening to her talk is the cutest thing!
Finally think I got everything for the party. DH is making all the food at his work, so that's one less thing for me to have to do!! Can't believe Jace turned 1 already!! And Skylar will be 2 so soon. Where have our babies gone???
DH and I are finally going on our honeymoon. I am so excited. We are going to Jamaica in May for 5 nights. My mom will stay with the kids. I'm a little sad about leaving them, but I know they'll have fun with grandma! (And I need a vacation very badly!!! :D )
Here's a quick pic of the little ones. (It's a terrible pic, but it's all I have on my work computer.)

blondegirl: Thanks for the birthday wishes! Your kiddies are too cute! Good luck on the potty training. We're in the midst of this also and it's hit or miss.
MrsT: Glad things are going well! We're in the same boat with toys but know we can't avoid it from family!
My little man is 2 years old today! I cannot believe it! Crazy to think that time flies by so quickly. These past 2 years have been wonderful and I'm so looking forward to the many many more! Today he has an ear infection so he isn't at daycare to have his party there, but we'll do that when he heads back. Saturday is his party with the family, so looking forward to that! We sang to him this morning and he sang along with us, which was very cute. And we have him saying that he's 2 now!
I took him into Picture Poeple (first time there) last weekend to get surprise Valentine's Pictures taken for DH. They turned out fantastic and I'm thinking I'm going to go back there for his 2 year pictures. I could count these as his 2 year pictures, but I think I want pictures non-valentine's themed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN!
Jess, those pictures are adorable. He really could be in a Gap Ad!!
Sorry he's a bit sick for his bday, but I'm sure he'll perk up for some cake. Hope you guys have a great day!! Can't believe they're already 2!
Blondegirl, yay on the Jamaica honeymoon! I think we worry about leaving them way more than they notice that we're gone :p How fun for you guys.
We're kinda potty training, but I'm not pushing it. He's great about doing #2 in the potty, but rarely will be tell me he has to go for #1. He's very proud about it though and is very into congratulating us as well - he'll "Yay, mommy go wee wee" when I go. ;)

Jess those pics are gorgeous! Nathan is adorable! I've been thinking about getting portraits done with Maya.
Blondegirl Have a wonderful time in Jamaca. We went there on our HM and had an amazing time.
MrsT Welcome back. I updated the post with the members. I look forward to seeing photos of Elliott.
2nd Birthday!
We are having a week day play date party for Maya. Much less stressful & more fun. We'll also have the family over for cake on the weeked. Our weekends have been super busy with weddings, showers, parties, etc. We didn't have a day where we could have a birthday party. Now I can get away with just inviting her friends from the play group! :)

It sounds like everyone had a wonderful Holiday season and are looking forward to Birthday #2!! Everyone's kids are so beautiful and BIG!! Talking a bunch is sounds, too!
We celebrated for the twins this past Saturday. My parents came to visit along with a friend of mine. We went to a hands-on museum downtown and then had cake and presents at home. It was a nice birthday. I still cannot believe that they are 2 already!!
Catheryn and Nathan were a little slow to start talking, but they are starting to pick up speed now. They are almost completely potty trained (YIPPEE) and are just doing great. They went for their 2 year check yesterday and Catie is about 26lbs and Nathan is 28.5. I will stop back in to post a couple 2 year pictures.

OMG Journey, the twins are so big! Happy Belated Birthday to Catie and Nathan! I can't believe we have two year olds now!
Roman's birthday was yesterday and we had a little party at our house. It was a big success--the kids had a blast playing together. I ended up setting up little stations for the kids to play/create--I created an area for play-doh, one for color wonder markers and at the table kids were able to decorate sugar cookies (MIL baked the cookies and I bought the little icing gel pens that were easy for the kids to use). Everyone had a blast! I will be sure to come back and post pics as soon as I get them off of my camera.
Happy Birthday Megan!

seattleguamgirl: I'm so glad his party went so well! Sounds like quite the success!
Nathan's birthday party this weekend went very well and he had a great time! He is beyond spoiled...but now he is done with gifts until Christmas...so all the new goodies between Christmas and his birthday should last him a while. :)

jess&dan - I love the birthday pictures!! Nathan had an amazing cake! On the potty training issue, ship him on over!! The only problem is that he is so cute, I am not sure I would be able to give him back. :D
We are getting ready to move. We sold our current house and should be closing around the 20th. We should hopefully be able to close on the house we are buying around the same time. I am not looking forward to moving, but I am looking forward to getting out of town. We found a great little place on 10 acres and are really excited about having critters again. Hopefully this will be the last move...ever!!!

Congrats Tonya!
We were supposed to go to Disney for Maya's birthday; however, we had to cancel our trip. Instead of a weekend birthday party, we are having a play date birthday with her friends from our play group. The theme is Monkeys. I bought a bunch of stuff from Oriental Trading Company. I'm baking banana muffins & serving some snack food such as bananas, some type of trail mix, mini peanut butter & banana sandwiches, etc. Should be cute! I got a lot of ideas from the 1st & 2nd birthday thread. If any of you have some cute ideas, feel free to chime in. :)
I still can't believe out babies are 2!

Unfortunately there have been some sickies going around here. I was sick all weekend with some sort of stomach bug. Really bad timing though, because we have to be out of this house by Saturday, and I didn't get any packing done.

I think we *NEED* that monkey shirt blondegirl! My little "monkey" has been nothing but trouble lately! Quick funny story - she likes to wash her hands in the sink while standing on her little Tykes pink chair. If you've ever seen the Elmo's world episode on "skin" - the kids show Dorothy how they wash their hands - so anyways, she's by herself in the bathroom, but we can hear her saying "Wash my hands, wash my fingers, dorothy, thats how I wash my hands" then we hear coughing and "YUCKY!" and spitting noise. She comes in with her toothbrush in hand and a sudsy face. She comes up to us and says: "ICKY TOOTHPASTE!" :-) Silly girl!
blondegirl
03-02-2007, 10:04 AM
HGMorgann, Skylar loves to wash her hands at the sink as well. Her new thing though, is once she gets the soap on her hands, rubs them together, she decides she want to wash her hair. She rubs the soap all in her hair! It's a good thing the shower head comes off!!

Hi everyone! It's been a long time, but I thought I'd come check everyone's little ones out. Can't believe how much everyone has grown!!!
Life is very tiring here. Elliott is a little ball of crazy and it's fun chasing him around.
Big news here is that I am pregnant again. Don't have any idea how it happened (we were actively TTA until at least June). But let that be a lesson that birth control (condoms) are not 100% effective :p Since it's a suprise, I have no idea how far along I am either - we go to the doctor on Monday.
Those of you who have more than one - I don't know how you do it! Today is the first day I am not napping with Elliott!! I'm am exhausted!! Kudos to all of you...
Hope all else is well and that you have a great weekend!

MrsT-GONGRATS!!!!! Well, you're in the same boat we were 1 year ago. We learned that condoms aren't 100% effective either. We were TTA as well, thinking we'd like to get pg around now, but instead we have a 3 1/2 month old ;)

MrsT: Congrats! What a surprise! Can't wait to hear when the due date is!
blondegirl: Cute picture! They are adorable! Poor Skylar with tubes! Hope it solves the ear infection issue!
wagsgirlI know, I felt like it was the episode of Friends where Ross (and Joey) find out that condoms aren't 100% effective. I mean you hear it, but really, how often does it happen!!
Jess Thanks!
Looks like the babe is due middle of December (12/12) but we're not 100% on the dates - they did an ultrasound but it was +/- 7 days. I'm hoping closer to the beginning of December just because I know how hard it is on kids to have Christmas birthdays (my sister is 12/15, my BIL 12/24 and DH is 12/30). My BIL is totally soured on Christmas AND his bday because of it
jess&dan

MrsT: Don't worry too much about the date...it's what you guys decide to do with it. My friend was a Christmas baby and so her mom celebrated her half birthday as her big birthday. She did get a birthday cake on Christmas...but on June 25th she always had a big birthday party and still does! I thought that was a neat way to seperate the two so she could enjoy each on their own!

Skylar had her tubes done on 5/4, and she did amazingly well. We went back for her follow-up yesterday, and her hearing is perfect. The ENT was very happy with the big changes in her hearing tests! I've noticed she is saying a TON of more words in just 2 weeks. We are also finally making progress with potty training. I haven't wanted to push her, she never really seemed very interested. blondegirl, beautiful photos! I love how the kids have grown.
I have news...I'm pregnant with another February baby! It's still very early (I'm 5w3d today) so please send good thoughts for a healthy pregnancy my way. :) I'm due 2/20/08...I was due 2/25/05 with Roman.
Potty training - Roman could care less about the potty. Some days he's willing to go on it, other days he flat out refuses. I'm going to schedule a diaper-free week this summer so we can get him using the potty!

seattleguamgirl-How exciting! A big congrats to you and your DH. Definately sending healthly pg vibes your way!!! And Roman is tooo cute, I can't get over how big all our kiddies are getting.
Skylar is doing ok w/ the potty training, but just ok. She has days where she won't even let me put undies on her, and days where she uses the potty all day. She hasn't had any accidents w/ the undies on, so I know we are making progress, but it's so difficult when she fights me over putting on undies. We also have ventured out w/out a diaper just yet!
Hope all is well w/ the rest of our Feb mommies - where are you all???
HGMorgann and Blondegrl Thanks belatedly for the congrats!
CONGRATS SGG!! How exciting for you - another Feb. baby :D Hope you are feeling well!
PTing Ha. E was so great there for a while (about #2, never #1) but now he hates me to even change his diaper. Just doesn't want to stop (and is just saying no to everything at this point). Guess it will be a while longer. I pray by the time the next one come that he will be PTed.
Us I'm feeling good - E is adamant that he is having a baby sister (and will name her "sister". We're taking him to Sea World this weekend and I think he'll love it (I'm more excited about going to my favorite San Antonio restaurants than Sea World, but that's the preggo in me!).
Hope everyone else is doing well!!

So it sounds like everyone at about the same spot with PTing! Nathan knows what to do and will do it if I take him there, but fails to tell me he has to go. The thought of stopping doesn't thrill him. I need to also plan a diaper free weekend/week and do some potty training boot camp!
He's really talking a lot lately, as if he didn't talk enough before. ;) We've hit a lovely phase of not listening and it has been a bit frustrating. We're working through it, though. In August, we are going to FL and will hit Disney World for one day. We'll be spening most of the time in Long Boat Key, but we'll have a weekend in Orlando visiting Dan's grandma, so we thought we would take Nathan to meet Mickey one of those days. :) This will be the first time we take Nathan on a plane, which I'm not looking forward to, but hopefully it will be a good experience. I'm not a fan of flying and have not done it since my honeymoon, but I need to get over it. :)
And yay for all the new mommies-to-be!!

Candy: How cute is she?!! Love the pictures! What a little darling! And boy and I'm running to get that book!!!! Thanks for the suggestion!
ETA: Is that the actual title or is it Toilet Training in Less Than a Day? Who's the author?
blondegirl
07-18-2007, 11:17 AM
Candy-She is darling!! Too cute for words. And I second that book - we used it with Skylar. Worked great!
On that not, Skylar was potty trained and doing well, until she broke her leg. We put her back in diapers because she couldn't get around well, but not that she is getting more mobile, she is getting herself to the potty much more. SO I think we are getting back on track!!!
And yes, poor Skylar broke her leg. We were at a sprinkler park the end of June. SHe was running around having fun, and she fell. It was a bit of an incline, and she rolled a bit. She has a cast on until 7/30. She is doing really well, in such good spirits! She is learning to get around however she can. SHe hasn't walked with the cast yet, though the dr. says she can and will when she is ready.

"Toilet Training in Less than a day" by Nathan H. Azrin and Richard M. Fox.

Skylar is actually doing really well. She's walking on the cast and getting around like normal. We even went to the park the other day and she played on the playscape with all the other kids. We go on Monday to get the cast off - and it's a good thing, because it's super hot here and the pool is calling our name!! She's turning into a little devil, though! A cute one, of course!

blondegirl: Skylar is such a pretty little girl! And your little guy is such a cutie! I'm glad she gets her cast off! I hope she enjoys being back to herself!!
Well, as seen in my signature, Nathan is going to be a big brother! We're very excited! It feels like just yesterday we were getting ready for Nathan! This baby is due on Sunday the 6th, just like Nathan was! We'll see if he/she decides to come early too! ;)

Lisa, it's so great to "see" you in here. Congrats on your new arrival. I'm so happy for you guys! :D
Jess Congratulations!! How exciting!! Have ya'll told Nathan yet?
Blondegrl Your kids are so beautiful!! Love that blonde hair on Skylar. Glad that cast is coming off - what else is there to do these days but the pool since it's so HOT!!
Lauryn Glad you de-lurked!! Congratulations on your new boy!
We're doing great. I have my u/s tomorrow and still am not finding out the sex. I am excited to see the babe though. I can hardly believe time is flying by so fast! I'm already 23 weeks - it's more than halfway over. Elliott starts preschool in a few weeks. Where has my baby gone....
Hope everyone is doing well!

Jess, congratulations! I have not caught up on LJ so I'm sure I missed your post. HOw exciting! I love that we are pregnant together again. :) Our babies will be just a few weeks apart!
Lisa, congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby boy. Pics please!
Blondegirl & Candy, thanks for the PT book recc, I'll be sure to pick that up ASAP.
MrsT, 23 weeks already? Where did the time go? Elliott will love preschool--I enrolled Roman again this fall and he starts in a couple of weeks. R LOVES going to school! These boys are not babies anymore... :(
I'm doing okay. My dad is sick (he has stage 4 cancer) so Roman and I went to Guam for a couple of weeks recently and I'm going back (alone) in a couple of weeks. Traveling pg is exhausting, but it will be much better w/out a toddler in tow.
I'm about 12w pg now. We told Roman I have a baby in my belly but I'm not sure he fully comprehends it. He said to me the other day, "Mommy has a baby in her belly! I love the baby!" and proceeded to kiss and touch my belly. :) I'm sure the little rascal won't be so endearing when this baby arrives (he is uber jealous when I hold ANY baby) but it was such a cute moment.

Cari: Thanks! No worries about LJ...you've been preoccupied! Great for being 12 weeks! Too cute about Roman. I have a feeling Nathan will be a bit jealous too once this baby shows up!
Lisa: Congrats on your new baby! Glad you are doing well!
MrsT: Thank you! I think it's great how you can hold out on finding out the sex. I'm too impatient. :)

Oh my goodness, I have missed so much in here!!! I think I was last in here about 6 months ago, just before we moved.
Congratulations on all the Mama's with babies on the way!!! How exciting! I am sure all the kids will love being big brother's and sister's. :D
We have been doing good. We are loving our new house and have no plans of moving ever again!! The kids all really like it here and love having all the animals.
Will is 4 now and I am having a hard time believing that this time next year I will be getting him ready to start Kindergarten!
The twinnies are crazy as ever. Catheryn is potty trained and Nathan is at home, but he still has accidents when we go out, so he still wears pull-ups on outings. They are growing like crazy and definetely keeping me on my toes!! I will get a picture of them on here soon.
I hope to visit a little more often. I sure have missed reading all about your little ones and look forward to visiting more regularly.

I never had the best time getting pictures on here, but I am going to give it another try. This picture is from May, but it is one of my favorites of the three of them together. :) I will get an updated one on here soon.

Cari So sorry about your dad. It's great that you've gotten to go see him though - especially with Roman. Glad the pregnancy is not slowing you down much ;) I'm happy to hear that Roman likes school - I'm nervous b/c E still doesn't like me to leave him with other people (as in we've never had a babysitter that wasn't named Grandma :o ). He says he's excited but we'll see!! Oh, and Elliott hates me to hold babies too - he's excited about the baby but I think he's starting to realize that the baby will take some of mommy's time...
Jess I still love hearing about what OTHER people are having :D
Journey Great to see you again! (I couldn't see the pic though ). I can't believe you're already so far in the PT game. Man, I need to get on it...
We're doing good. I took my GTT today. Ugh! Everything else with the baby is great. I can't believe that after this next appt I will already be down to every two weeks!! Time is just flying....

Journey: I can see your pic. Your boys look SOOO much alike! Holy cow! Adorable picture!!
Not much going on around here. Greydon's the typical 2.5 yo boy. Loves anything to do with trains, planes and automobiles! :) I'm thinking he's going to be Bob the Builder for Halloween. That's his latest obsession...I found a costume for $2 at a garage sale. Don't know for sure if we'll go with it yet or not...

I am sorry some of you can't see the pic, it shows up on my end, so I am not sure what to do to get it to show up for you... I might just have to try and post another one.
MrsT - Congrats onyour pregnancy!! Glad everything is going well. You don't have too much longer to go.
jess&dan - Congrats on your pregnancy as well!! Sometimes I swear it seems like yesterday that we were pregnant with all our two year olds...
wagsgirl - I love the pictures!! Your kids are so cute...and big! I think Bob the Builder would be cute for Halloween. I am not sure what mine are going to be yet. I think Will wants to be a cowboy, but the twins are still a mystery to me. :)
We went to the fair this last Friday and the kids had a blast. It was great because everyone was old enough to go on some rides and play some games. I just love the fair... except I always eat too much cotton candy. I think the kids may have eaten a little too much, too, but the crash after the sugar high was awesome. :) They all slept great!

Everyone getting ready for Halloween?? How are all the preggos doing??
Not much new going on around here. We are going to Jamaica as a family for a week at Thanksgiving and I'm already stressing! We'll be traveling with my IL's - 20 people total. YIKES! I must be crazy. The kids are growing up so fast, can't believe our babies are going to be 3 soon!

I was just thinking the other day that it has been way too long since anyone has posted in here!!
blondegirl: Your kids are such cuties! I love their matching costumes! And I hope your trip goes well and you have a graet time!
Things going well over here. I'm 16 weeks along now, so hopefully we'll find out the sex in a few more weeks! Nathan is doing great! He's such a little boy now and losing just about all baby. We're still working on potty training. He's right on the edge and we're at the stage where he can definitely do it, but he has to make that final decision to "cross over". I really wish it would happen soon! He has nicknamed our baby "Coco" which cracks us up!
Here's a picture from this weekend at the pumpkin patch.

jess&dan - great pic, we're aiming to go to a pumpkin patch this week.
Aidan is going through an elephant phase so he's going to be an elephant, and Alexander is going to be a SF Forty-Niner. It's Aidan's costume from last year :D

Hey all,
Just a fly by post to let you know I'm having another BOY! Roman is beyond excited to have a baby brother.
Quick question: I'm so tempted to create a big boy room for Roman instead of moving his furniture into the other room for the new baby. Is it too much change at once to move him into another room? We'd do it sooner than later so he'll have a chance to adjust, but I don't want to freak him out with all the changes already going on with the new baby! It would certainly make MY life easier to move him instead of switch all the stuff around. :)
What do you think?
jess&dan
11-06-2007, 08:19 AM
Cari: I think moving him into a big boy room now is a good idea. Better to do it before than after the baby. Once the baby comes, it is going to be a big adjustment for all of you, and a long one, so if you do the room thing now that's one less for after. I'm sure Roman would do just fine with the change!
hi you guys! it's been a long time since i've posted. just wanted to pop in and say that we've added a girl to our family! Finley Marie was born Tues (18th) and was 6 lb 7 oz, 19 in long. my kids like to be late. :p E loves her and although is a little extra whiney, seems to be thrilled. he keeps wanting to hug her and kiss her.
Hope everyone is doing well! Haapy Belated Hannukah and Merry Christmas!
I'd love to hear how xmas goes. this is e's 1st year of being excited about santa (actually smiled in his pic this year ). i'm excited to see xmas morning thru him.
jess and cari - hope you are feeling well!! getting closer for you guys!!

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you had a great holiday season this year.
MrsT--I totally missed your birth announcement. Congrats on Finley's arrival! I love her name! You must post photos soon. And keep us updated on how we can manage two kids at once. :)
I've been doing okay. After a routine checkup they discovered I have lower amniotic fluid which has been causing the baby to put pressure on his cord, so he has been showing some heart decelerations. I was in the hospital twice for monitoring and IV hydration so this has been an interesting last two weeks! I am now at home and on full bed rest so the ILs are here taking care of Roman.
I hope you all are doing well!

I cannot believe my DD is going to be three on February 4. She is getting so big, it just freaks me out. What is everyone doing for their 3yo birthday party? We live in a moderate climate, so it might be cold or just cool, so I am debating something outside. She is REALLY into princess stuff, so that will be our main theme, but I need some ideas for entertainment.

MrsT: I know it's very belated, but congrats on your new little girl!!
How are all the other preggos doing??
It's been ages, hope everyone had a nice holiday an new years.
Hard to believe our babies are turning 3!! We are doing Skylars party at a kids gym place. It's going to be a joint party with her and Jace (he's going to be 2 next week ) They provide all the party goods, so we really don't have a special theme this year. The place is called Monkey Business, so I may do monkey themed goody bags and favors.

Blondegirl, Skylar is so big! I love her long hair in pigtails. She is adorable. :)
My C-section date is February 2, a day before Roman's third birthday! My two little boys will almost share a birthday, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it. I decided to have a c-section because of #2's heart decels--I don't want to put him through the stress of labor contractions. It was a tough decision but something I'd been thinking about since being put on bed rest five weeks ago.
Since I'll be hospitalized on Roman's birthday we will likely do cupcakes at the hospital and then plan his birthday party for early March. I was toying with doing a Build-A-Bear party but I don't know for sure...
What is everyone else planning? I know there are some Mickey Mouse clubhouse parties going on from reading your LJs...any other suggestions or ideas?
