The Apprentice - Black vs White????

I read in my Entertainment Weekly that this seasons Apprentice is going to be black vs white. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this? And what do you think about it? I think it is crossing some line.

I haven't seen anything on this and don't know how they would get it to play without some discrimination accusations. What about hispanics and asians? Or is it white vs any other ethnic group? I think it would be completely tasteless if they did it that way. The Apprentice has been one of the few reality series that I've watched consistently... I hope they don't totally flub it up.

I heard on the radio today that Trump thought better of this and isn't going to do it anymore. But up until this morning, I hadn't even heard about it.

Woh, I've been considering not watching it this coming season anyway because I think it's getting old, but if this is true it's also becoming very tasteless and I definitly won't watch it!

Is Trump dumb enough to do that? On one hand, he always thinks it terms of getting publicity which it would do. OTOH, if NBC actually goes with it I will not be watching - that goes WAY over the line of unacceptable. This isn't the damn 1800s.

I read that, too, but I've also heard that he changed his mind. I sure hope so! What an awful idea! :eek:

I saw Trump on the View last week and he never mentioned anything which is why I was shocked when I read it in Entertainment Weekly. All he said on the View was that the last season pretty much sucked (my words not his) b/c he didn't have a hand in selecting the people. He said this time around that every person was "approved" by him and this was going to be the best one yet.

I am glad he changed his mind. But why would he even think of it in the first place! :rolleyes: :eek:

Definitely would never happen. Law suits would be flying! We are not that evolved to not expect lots of racial backlash.

Kind of reminds me of that show that one of the major networks pulled about 'various' people trying to move into a conservative neighborhood. I read that they were surprised about the racial stereotypes and prejudices that still existed. :rolleyes:
