I was assigned to write a speech on the Canadian healthcare system. I need to find at least 12 examples of real people who are nothing but happy with the healthcare they've received in Canada. My thoughts on the issue do not matter, and I am only to present the PRO side of the issue regarding socialized medicine. I've tried searching for every combination of words I could come up with, and so far I have found no testimonials from people about how great the system has worked for them. Please help! Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! :)

You could post and ask the ladies in the Canada groups thread, if anyone would like to comment, or PM you their personal stories.

I don't quite get what you're asking for. You want folks to identify citable journal articles or some sort of autobiography where people talk about how great the Canadian healthcare system is?
I can't quite wrap my head around a scenario where what you're asking for would exist. Can you give a bit more detail/examples of what you're interested in?

My bachelors is in health care services and I did a research paper on the pros and cons of different international healthcare payer systems. I mention this as background for my opinion.
I just don't get how they would expect you to find articles about people happy with the system! Any peer-reviewed article (which is what most teachers want) wouldn't have a format that would allow for reporting opinions of specific "happy" people. Most would show scientific findings based on satisfaction surveys or something similar. The only thing I can think of is just that your teacher wants you to find articles reporting positive statistics about the Canadian system (versus an interview of Mr. Canadian-Guy who says "My doc was able to see me in 24 hours, I couldn't be happier!"). I dunno...
Here are some statistics: http://www.insurance-canada.ca/consinfohealth/Ipsos-more-positive-healthcare-608.php and http://www.benefitscanada.com/content/legacy/Content/2000/06-00/a17.html
This website is one of my faves for the postives on a single-payer system: http://www.pnhp.org/
Good luck!

Can't you cite CC ladies as an interview? I know I could cite emails I recieved as an interview and that was perfectly acceptable.

Well, I guess I'd have to be happy with the Canadian health care system for starters. ;) (Ok, so my beef isn't so much nationally-based, but more provincially!)
Good luck with your speech! :)

Thanks ladies for the input. I called my professor today and left him a message about the possibility of using interviews from Canadian CC ladies. Once I hear back i'll update.

Ok, I spoke with my professor regarding my difficulty in finding articles. I asked him if interviews would be acceptable, and he said yes! :) So, my next question is, are there any Canadian ladies that would be willing to share their good stories regarding the care they received as a result of the Canadian healthcare system? I'm going to post in the Canadian thread also, as maplekitty suggested. Thanks! :)
