Okay, Monday night I wanna go all out. It's been a rough two weeks health-wise and I'm finally starting to feel better. Todd has been sooo good taking care of me. I'm going to go get my hair and make-up done and dress up and I want to knock the socks off (along with some other things LOL ;) ) him with a really awesome/sexy dinner.
I already know raw oysters are aphrodisiacs and we do eat them and I can probably get my hands on some too.
So it's between cooking something elaborate and "sexy" or doing something along the "fondue" line...
Ideas and input are appreciated! I love to cook, it's the creative part that stumps me.
Thanks so much in advance!

I love the menus at Epicurious.com for inspiration. This one looks like it might be up your alley:

I'd say something spicey - something to get your body heat rising ;)
Maybe get adventurous with thai or indian curry?
I have a book Erotic recipes or something like that. I can look in there for you.

I'd say chocolate covered strawberries for after dinner, such a standby, but great.

What makes food sexy? Aside from it being presented in a nice way or being served by candlelight?

Candlelight does it for me. I could eat pizza and think it was romantic if there is candlelight and I get to sit and talk with my husband. We are in the middle of having our bathroom overhauled...our house is a mess, it was way over budget...hummmm...a nice dinner by candlelight might be just the thing.
Also, for food ideas, what about Chinese take out...sharing it with candlelight??

Have you seen 9 1/2 Weeks? :D

Kari, you hit the nail on the head!
It's the type of food, the sensation it gives you in your mouth-it's texture...if it's smooth and slides down your throat-sexy or rubbery-blek-not sexy. If it's warm and goes down and warms your body or if it's cooler and kind of shocks the senses...Food can be so sensual especially when you set the mood like bethnjim wrote. It's fun to use hands and share it and lick fingers and so forth. Chocolate for instance...you have a regular ol' chocolate bar-eh no big deal. You melt it down and it's warm and gooey and you dip it in stuff and then use your CLEAN ;) finger and dip it and lick it off or have your hubby/SO lick it off...very different KWIM?
kari LOL LOVED the honey part of that scene!
