Anyone watch this? Ben & I watch it every Sunday. It's our favorite show.

We love this show too. We've only been into it for about 3 weeks, but so far it's hilarious. Last night was good--I totally didn't think the Aquaman deal would work out but it did.
We missed all of Season 1. Is it worth renting on DVD?
I love this show too. I know it's based on Mark Wahlberg, so I always imagine Drama as Donnie Wahlberg even if that's not who he based on.

I think this season is much better than season 1 was, but Cliff liked last season a lot, too. So you might as well give it a try. :)

I'd give it a try. I thought last season was good too.
OMG! Last night one of the girls' that was went back to the hotel with E & Vince...she was on the last Road Rules and she was on the most recent RW/RW challenge!
I couldnt stand her either and I am so disappointed they used HER for the part. Yuck!
Anyone catch that?

I keep missing it, so it's now on my TiVo list. I love Jeremy Piven and this seems to be such a great role for him. Ari is kind of like his Dean character was in Serendipity. He's finally making a name for himself outside of John Cusack, and it's so great to see!!

No, but I don't watch Road Rules. :)
ITA about Jeremy Piven's role, Alice. He's awesome as Ari. It's such a great role! :)

i'm a big fan too!!! and i agree with whoever said they thought this season was much better than last! but obviously last season was interesting enough to keep me watching until now :)
honestly, i thought last night's episode (sundance, in case someone is reading this thread three weeks from now) was probably one of the most enjoyable! i thought the show flowed really well with enough craziness (the 3some), edge or your seat (waiting to find out about cameron's decision) and just pure fun (the snowball fight).
And yes, Ari is the best part of the show... although I'm a big fan of E, too!

*sigh* we need premium cable tv. My friend taped all of last season for us and the hubby (complaining when I made him watch it) and love it. We can't wait to see (or rent) this season. And yay for a season three.

My hubby & I LOVE this show! I got him last season on DVD for Father's Day. :)
I love that Jeremy Piven got a Emmy nomination for Ari - he's my favorite character. HILARIOUS.

I just started watching this show and I love it! I have seen the last four episodes in the past two days. I totally want to rent the first season on DVD.
Was anyone else surprised by Bob Saget's appearance? Mr. American's Funniest Home Videos and Full House dad cursing, smoking up, referring to other drug use and hanging out with hookers? (None of this bothers me. I just think it would bother a lot of his fans.) Personally, I like the guy more now that I know that he has a sense of humor, but I was surprised he did it. Oh, and how funny was it when Vince was like, "Who is that guy?"

From what I understand, he was a stand-up comedian prior to Full House and at first people were shocked to see him in such a "sugary" roll. Eventually he became typecast for that persona, which really wasn't him at all.
Anyone else hear this?

I actually heard him on Howard Stern yesterday and yes he is a little wild and nothing like Danny Tanner on Full House.

Anyone watch last night? I swear...Vince is being SUCH a p*ssy!!! Sorry for the use of that word but he really is. I cant believe how ridiculous he is acting after being all gung-ho about sleeping with every girl and being such a player. wtf!

Typical guy, right?! ;) Clearly, she really did hurt him, cause he's acting like a big time weenie. I think it's hilarious, though. :D

New to this thread! Right now, I simply CANNOT wait to see each episode, the highlight of the TV season right now (that and Six Feet Under). Anyway, have to agree with Vince being a wimp. What's up??? ;)

Did anyone else think last night's episode sucked? It's the first one I haven't really liked. I just thought it was boring.
Just found this thread and I love this show. I started by renting the first season on DVD and the more I watched the more I liked it.
I loved the one with Bob Saget - it was hilarious to see him act so out of character (at least what I was used to, but yes I did hear that he used to "work blue" when he was a stand up comedian).
Ari's awesome.

I just say the Bat Mitzvah episode. I thought it was pretty funny, although I agree that not much happened. I like seeing Ari with his family though. It cracks me up. "Only Daddy talks that way!" And he was being so sweet about his daughter, until he say Terrence talking to Vince and he made Vince come up on stage to cut the challah! I was dying!
I was shocked when Vince told Mandy he wasn't over her. That seemed kind of out of character from him.
I wonder if Eric is going to date Sloan?
tbell

I'm not really digging the Mandy Moore story, but hopefully it will conclude soon. I hope E does start to date Sloan; I like her.

Have to agree, hope the Mandy Moore thing is short lived. Love the Sloan/E thing. They would make a very cute couple....AND she seems smart.

Who saw last night's episode? By far, the funniest exchange was this one:
Mandy: "And how have you been Turtle?"
Turtle: "You know, working hard."
Umm....working hard doing what? Turtle is the leats hard working person in America as far as I can tell.
Anyway, the episode was okay, but the scenes from next week look awful! What is going on with Vince?
Alicia
08-15-2005, 07:44 AM
anyone else disappointed how SHORT last night's episode was? not only did it start a minute or two late, but they started running credits at 10:23 p.m. - as they ended all i could think was, "that's it?!" i mean it wasn't the best episode of the season, but it certainly wasn't bad- and there seemed to be enough momentum to carry it for another 10 minutes! geeesh.
i actually like the mandy moore storyline- i think it forces vince's character to grow up a little.

Why did everyone think of last night's episode? I actually didn't enjoy it very much. I thought the prank they pulled on Ari at the end was awful. The only storyline I liked was the one with Turtle and the rapper. And where were the girls? The show has gotten too serious lately. When I started watching it, it was all about the fantasy of being a movie star. Now there are all these problems. It's just not as fun.

I liked last night's episode. And I thought Ari deserved that prank! He lied about the painting and then about James Cameron. I KNEW Ari was lying when he told E. I am happy to see the Mandy Moore thing concluding.

I loved this week's episdode. Jeremy Piven was so great. He makes the show for me. I really hope he wins the Emmy.

I agree that Jeremy Piven did a great job, but I found the episode so frustrating. First of all, Ari is an idiot. He had a year left on his contract, a year in which he could have secretly made plans to start his own agency. Instead, he freaked out and sabotaged his own career. Meanwhile, why on earth would Mandy's fiance take her back? If someone left me three weeks before my wedding for another girl, I sure as hell wouldn't be taking them back. How could you ever trust them? And Vince, not going to do the movie? Huh? He's going to ruin his career. The person I feel for is Eric. His only client is sinking his career while his client's agent is also sinking. What a disaster.

So, did anybody see the season finale? I only caught it last night because we were away this weekend. I loved it! I loved how both Eric and Ari were being really genuine and sincere with Vince and each other. And I'm so relieved that Vince didn't quit the movie. I feel so much better than I did last week.

And yes I saw the finale...I wish they were longer though! Ugh! I am SO glad Vince did the movie. Cant wait til next season.

I'm bummed that Jeremy Piven didn't win the emmy. He does a great job as Ari.
I think next season starts next year after the Sopranos (so summer probably). Hopefully it will be a longer season though.

I watched. I thought it was good/OK. Ending left me hanging a bit.
Did anyone else think it was shot differently? More cameras, different angles? I dunno. Something was off about it. And I hate the way Vince looks, he was even walking differently. Though he looked better at the premiere.

I thought Vince looked really good. I think they're giving him more of a "swagger" because he's about to break out into a Hot A lister.
I did notice the camera angles. When I first saw Shauna (face only) I was shocked at how puffy she was.. then I saw her belly:) She must be pg in real life.

I read that Debi Mazar (Shauna) gained 80 lbs when she was pregnant with her daughter (she has since had the baby) but I was surprised to see her so big!
I hate Vince's hair. It's too...shaggy or something. He's still my boyfriend, though. :D
Ari is the best, he just cracks me up! Too bad he's like that IRL, though. :(

Does anyone know when the third season is going to be available or if there is any way we can get our hands on it. We just Netflixed Seasons 1 &2 and can't wait to see 3.

cynder i am not sure if the season is over yet...but you can always put season 3 in your queue and it will go to the saved list. Hopefully not too long though because we just found entourage a month ago and already are dying for season 3.

Does anyone still watch this??? I am SOOO addicted. It started last season. I believe season 3 is split into A and B parts and now it's in the B part. I could be totally wrong though.
But I LOVE this show!! With E thinking that Medillian sucks and doesn't want Vince to do the other movie with Billy but now he is going to anyway ... that is gonna be a good turning point in their relationship.
So yeah, does anyone still watch this?? B/c I wanna talk about it :D

I'm watching! DH and I love this show! Yeah, I'm thinking that there will be some tension between Vince and Eric because of Billy. I loved last weeks episode and how it focused more on Lloyd. It had me cracking up! :)

Any episode featuring Lloyd is hands-down my favorite! :D I thought it was hysterical that Ari went to the Finish Line to confront Tom. Then tells him, "You're good looking...you could get chicks." (Or something like that. ;))
That was great how Ari covered for Lloyd for cheating on Tom...and I noticed how he actually bought a pair of shoes!
The whole Billy/Vince/E. triangle is very interesting. E. has been right about all of Vince's projects so I wonder if "Lost in the Clouds" will indeed turn out to be a stinker because of Billy. I adore Billy's character...he is so insane. Remember when he was walking around with the only cut of "Medellin" around his neck...priceless! :p
I am sad that Debi Mazar isn't on anymore. I noticed her name was removed from the opening credits, but at least "Mrs. Ari" has moved up...love her. :)

I puffy heart Lloyd!!! I was about to get really bummed out if he was really taking a leave of absence :( But then he came back :D
I noticed Ari bought some shoes too.
Billy is crazy though. Sometimes I just yell at the TV "Shut the eff up!" lol. And then he got a whole back piece tattoo of Medillan. He's coo-coo for cocoa puffs.

So excited Entourage is back for another season! Ari is an awesome character. Its funny, of all the characters I like Vince the least. I can't help but feel hip watching it ;)
