If you used a non-standard size and/or a pocketfold, how much extra postage did you need?

Thanks!

It depends on the size and weight of your item. You should be able to find the answer on USPS's site.

I'd march right down to the post office, complete, assembled invite in hand and have them weigh it. just to be safe!

Definitely weigh it - there's no sense in spending more if you don't have to. If it's over an ounce (I think) you'll have to move up to a 63-cent stamp. I would bring a couple of invites for them to weigh just to be sure. If you weigh one and it's just under the limit, another one might be just over. If you use a 39 cent stamp and some of them get returned to you, that wouldn't be good at all! You'd have wasted the 39 cent stamps and a lot of time!

I didn't even bother weighing mine. I had a feeling it was over an ounce and just automatically went with the 63 cent stamp. They were prettier than the 39 cent ones anyway!

I would weight it. Mine were close to $2 to mail (and hence most were hand-delivered). They had 3 layers with ribbons and a pocketfold with various inserts (all of which were 2 layers). I just took one down to the PO and asked them how much it would be.

I guess I should have specified. I just wanted to see how many people went over and by how much.

Usually the 63 cent stamp will cover most of the standard invitations. Yes, 1 ounce is the cut off for the standard postage stamp.

We had to go to the next stamp (not the current rate though) because our invitation was 1.1 ounces. yes, we were over by a tenth and it totally ticked me off.
