HTML code - HELP!!! :)

I'm building a website for a couple that is adopting from china. I'm trying to put a background in, and here's the problem. Here's the image I'm working with....

When I put it in as a background (website on angelfire) it tiles itself over the page.....i.e. a border like I want on the left and right, but also one big red splotch down the middle. How can I fix this to only border on the sides???

OR - how do I just make it border on the left side and not tile?

I really have no idea. But whenever images don't cooperate with me, I photshop 'em.

I would suggest to either do a table and put the border into left or right cells or to split the page into frames and place the image into a separate frame.
