I thought it might be fun to see if there's any kind of a trend of when women go into labor! So when was it? The middle of the night? Did you need to leave work? What about weekends versus weekdays?

Have a great day! :D

I felt kind of weird all day, and then around 7pm or so I felt pretty crampy, and there was a pattern to it. It was a Saturday night. I told DH that if he wanted to sleep at all that night to do it then because it was going to be a long night. I was admitted to labor and delivery around 6am Sunday morning, and ds was born at 3:34pm.

I chose "Before Work", but I actually went into labor on a Saturday morning, sometime around 5am. So, had it been a weekday, it would have been before work. ;)

My son was born at 3pm on a Saturday.

I started getting back pains about 4 in the morning - tried to lay down & sleep for awhile - got up at 6 with small contractions. Got in the shower, got dressed & waited around the house til they got 5 mins apart. ( I did not want to be one of the ones that get sent back home from the hospital) Arrived at the hospital at 1000am & my ds was born at 1:43 PM :)

I went into early labor in the middle of the night - around 2am, but I didn't go to the hospital until around 3-3:30 that afternoon. DD was born at 8:59 pm on a Sunday.

With my first pregnancy I was in labor when I woke up at about 6:00am, but it was a Saturday so I wouldn't have been going to work anyway. And I was 2 weeks past my due date so I'd already been on maternity leave for 3-weeks so I guess I wouldn't have been going to work no matter what. ;)

For my second pregnancy I went into labor in the middle of the day. I had an afternoon appointment for my 38-week check-up and unbeknownst to myself, was dialated to a 4!!! No labor pains yet though. They sent me home (I had my 12 month old son with me at the time) and told me to get to the hospital as soon as I started feeling the contractions because it would "be a quick one".

So, driving home, in rush hour traffic, I start feeling the contractions and am completely paranoid that my water is going to break in the car and I'm going to have to pull over to the side of the road and have my baby while my other baby is in the back seat!

Luckily it didn't happen that way. I made it home and then to the hospital and she arrived shortly after midnight. Still though, quick labor.

I was awakened in the middle of the night to find that my water had broken/was breaking. I immediately woke my husband up and told him we needed to go to the hospital (per doctor's orders....it was one of the four things he told us if happened we needed to head to the hospital immediately, not to call him first). Things progressed very quickly from then on out and by afternoon our daughter arrived. It was a weekday.

My water broke five minutes after I climbed into bed after a very long day. No sleep for me that night!

I woke up to pee at 4am and found out I was leaking amniotic fluid. I was admitted right away and DS was born 12 hours from the minute I woke up.

I voted bright and early before work, but that's because I normally wake about 5-5:30 a.m. That particular day, I woke to pee before 4 a.m. My water had broken.

i was awakened after about an hour of sleep on a day i had worked 10 hours, gone on errands after work, gone out to dinner with dh, and stayed up late doing nothing important. contrax were 5 minutes apart so there was no sleep for me or dh that night.

Woke up around 5:30am to pee and b/c my cat was meowing. Realized I was losing my plug. Painful contractions started around 1:30-2pm and DD was born at 9:15pm. I had already stopped working or else I would have voted before work since I usually got up around 5am.

I woke up about midnight to go the bathroom and was feeling really crampy. I was uncomfortable but not really in pain, so I tried to go back to sleep. When that didn't work I decided to time the cramps and they were 3 minutes apart. But then I didn't know what to do (the doctor had said to call when the contractions were 5 minutes apart and painful). I finally called the hospital around 4 am to ask, since they were still 3 min. apart but not too painful. The nurse said to come in. I was 1cm when we got there but the doctor wanted me to stay and DS was born at 3:04 that afternoon.
