SOLVANG, Calif. (AP) - Actress Sandra Bullock married mechanic and reality TV star Jesse James at a ranch near Santa Barbara, according to reports.

Bullock, 40, and James, 35, exchanged vows Saturday in front of several hundred guests at the Folded Hills Ranch in Santa Ynez Valley's wine country.

Guests included actor William Shatner, actresses Jamie Lee Curtis and Regina King, and Metallica lead singer James Hetfield, according to "Entertainment Tonight" and Us Weekly magazine.

Many in Hollywood have been surprised at the pairing of the tattooed bad boy James and the on-screen good girl Bullock. They met in 2003.

It's the first marriage for "Miss Congeniality" star Bullock, who had been engaged to actor Tate Donovan. She recently played the wife of a district attorney in the film "Crash."

James, who previously married twice and has three children, appears on The Discovery Channel's "Monster Garage."


I've never watched his show, but I love her movies usually. I hope they are happy!

Sandra Bullock married her bad-boy boyfriend, Monster Garage host Jesse James, in a sunset ceremony Saturday on a ranch outside Santa Barbara.

According to Us Weekly, more than 300 friends and family members descended upon the 300-acre Folded Hills Ranch in Solvang, California, for the "intimate yet elaborate" nuptials. Among those reportedly in attendance: Metallica frontman James Hetfield and actresses
Constance Marie and
Regina King.

James cruised to the site in one of his monster pickup trucks, per Us Weekly, arriving separately from Bullock. Guests were shuttled from Santa Barbara via a fleet of buses.

Bullock wore a white lace dress, according to People, which said the wedding had a "hoedown theme" complete with a country-western band.

This was the first trip down the aisle for Bullock, who turns 41 July 26, and the third matrimonial go-round for her betrothed.

Before swapping vows with James, the closest Bullock had come to being a bride was a brief engagement to actor Tate Donovan in 1994. She has also been romantically linked to former costars
Ryan Gosling,
Matthew McConaughey and musicians
Bob Schneider and Guy Forsythe.

Her groom, however, has experience at the altar; James, 35, has two children, daughter Chandler and son Jesse James Jr., from his first marriage to Karla James, and a daughter, Sunny James, with second wife, adult-film star Janine Lindemulder

The newlyweds first met last spring, when Bullock's 10-year-old godson, a fan of James' TV show, got her to set up a tour of the Monster set.

Despite being a fixture in the glossies since April 2004, the couple have refrained from discussing their romance.

"There's a reason they call it private life," the actress-producer-budding real-estate mogul told People in March.

Her tatted-up husband is a multihyphenate, too: reformed juvenile delinquent, ex-college football player, former rock-band bodyguard, car and bike customizer extraordinaire and TV host. West Coast Choppers, his shop in Long Beach, California, has built tricked-out rides for the likes of Shaquille O'Neal and Kid Rock (his designs fetch up to $150,000) and his body-shop renown led to the launch of Monster Garage on the Discovery Channel in 2002. Like Bullock, he is an alum of People's 50 Most Beautiful list.

After a yearlong hiatus from acting, Bullock returned to the big screen with two films in 2005: Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, a box-office disappointment, and the indie racial drama Crash, one of the season's surprise hits.

She has been shooting a Truman Capote biopic, tentatively titled Every Word Is True, in which she plays famously reticent novelist Harper Lee. Also in the pipeline are a reunion with Speed costar
Keanu Reeves in the romantic drama Il Mare, and another literary biopic, Grace, where she plays ill-fated Peyton Place author Grace Metalious. All three are slated to premiere in 2006, per IMDb.com.

The wedding rumors are back! Are secretive sweethearts SANDRA BULLOCK and JESSE JAMES getting hitched this weekend?

The opposites-attract couple and their reps have previously denied buzz that they're planning to get married this summer, but sources say this weekend might include the special day!

The 40-year-old 'Miss Congeniality' star and her 35-year-old "Monster Garage" man have been dating for over a year, and reportedly met when Sandra took her young godson to the "Monster Garage" set in Long Beach, CA.

While this would be Sandra's first walk down the aisle, Jesse has been married twice before. The tattooed chopper enthusiast has two kids with his first wife, CARLA (a son named JESSE JAMES, JR. and a daughter named CHANDLER), and a daughter, SUNNY, with adult film star JANINE LINDEMULDER, whom he just recently divorced.

Sandra has been linked with a variety of artists and co-stars throughout her career, but has never previously said, "I Do." Some of her past romances have included actors RYAN GOSLING, with whom she acted in 'Murder by Numbers,' MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY, her co-star on 'A Time to Kill,' and TATE DONOVAN, whom she met while filming 'Love Potion No. 9.'

ET has confirmed that actress SANDRA BULLOCK (40) married "Monster Garage" star JESSE JAMES (35) on Saturday evening, according to her official spokesperson.

The sunset ceremony took place at the 334-acre "Folded Hills Ranch," which they rented for the event, in the town of Gaviota, north of Santa Barbara, CA. The ranch is surrounded by a white picket fence and is owned by ANDREW BUSCH of the Anheuser Busch family. Sources tell ET that the ranch was under unusually tight security throughout the day.

The couple exchanged vows before 200-300 guests, and Sandra's spokesperson tells ET that the bride wore a dress by ANGEL SANCHEZ and walked down the aisle to a taped aria of her mother, an opera singer, crooning "Casta Diva." Sandra's ring was vintage, acquired by NEIL LANE, while Jesse's ring was machined by the bride herself out of stainless steel.

The spectacular cake was created by Sandra's sister, GESINE PRADO (www.gesine.com), and the flowers were designed by CECILIA HEFFERNAN of Flower Hardware. Guests danced to the musical entertainment of COUSIN LOVERS, a bluegrass band, and the beats of "Ellen" DJ TONY OKUNGBOWA.

Celebrity invitees included 'Miss Congeniality 2' co-stars WILLIAM SHATNER and REGINA KING. JAMIE LEE CURTIS and husband CHRISTOPHER GUEST, JASON BIGGS and DOLPH LUNDGREN were all spotted at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara earlier Saturday, where some of the couple's guests were staying. ET has seen the party invitation, which gave no hint of a wedding, telling guests to simply dress in casual attire.

Bullock and James met in December 2003. This is Bullock's first marriage, although she was once engaged to actor TATE DONOVAN. James has been married twice before and has one son and two daughters from the previous marriages: JESSE, JR., CHANDLER and SUNNY.

Bullock recently starred in the feature films 'Crash' and 'Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous.' She is executive producer of the ABC sitcom "The George Lopez Show."
