IT'S NOVEMBER! - BRING ON THE ELECTION, TURKEY DAY ... AND MANY BFP'S!!!!

TTCers of ConstantChatter:
Charting Our Course to the BFPs

http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.

So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!

Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.

Your threadmistresses for this thread are cat_loverpg and RobynScott.

To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread every month. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistresses would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if we get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter if you have never charted before or if you’ve been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.

If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on
throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test!

Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb

* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.

* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.

* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.

* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.

* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.

* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.

* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.

* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.

* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.

* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.

* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!

* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!

* Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

- Common TTC abbreviations

This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!

•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
•BF'ing: breast-feeding
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CL: Cover Line; a visual tool used to separate the low (pre-ovulatory) temps from high (post-ovulatory) temps; a coverline is typically based on the temperatures 6 days prior to ovulation.
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•CF: cervical fluid; same as cervical mucus
•CP: cervical position; an optional, but sometimes really useful, fertility sign; CP will generally be low, firm and closed before and after ovulation, and high, soft and open during your fertile time.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•Endo: endometriosis (can be a fertility problem)
•EDC and EDD: estimated date of confinement (antiquated, but still used by physicians) and estimated date of delivery
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EW or EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FAM: Fertility Awareness Method; the method of fertility and/or birth control that correlates the physical changes you experience during your cycle to predict when you are most fertile
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FP: follicular phase; the phase before ovulation, where the egg matures in the ovaries
•FPS: false pregnancy symptom(s)
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HCG: human chorionic gonadotropin; the hormone that is present during pregnancy and what the HPT's and blood test measure to determine if you are pregnant
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•IUI: intra-uterine insemination
•IVF: in vitro fertilization
•KU: knocked up
•LH: leutenizing hormone; the LH surge is what is measured by the OPKs; this hormone signals the egg to burst from the ovary
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
MBFP Mystery big fat positive- When you see a BFP in someone’s chart but they haven’t announced it yet
•NFP: Natural Family Planning; similar to FAM, but with abstinence during the fertile period
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•OS: Ovusoft; charting software based on TCOYF
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PG: pregnant
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•SA: semen analysis
•SH: "sweet husband"
•SO: "significant other"
•SYS, SYL : See ya soon! or See ya later!
•TCOYF: Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler; a book and website about charting and fertility.
•TMI: "too much information" - There is no such thing when TTC!
•TTA: "trying to avoid"
•TTC: "trying to conceive"
•TTFN: "ta-ta for now"
•TTYL, TTYS: "talk to you later" or "talk to you soon"

Abirney - sorry to hear about your FIL - hope he recovers quickly and nothing too serious is wrong. Hope your MIL's tests turn out ok!

Sammy - hope you get some good news for your mom!

polkadot - hope your timing works out the way you want - and that DH wakes you up later tonight ;)

kanga and caesar - good luck tomorrow - hope we'll be seeing some 'positive' news ;)

mel - good luck with the surgery!

Jess - congrats on determining that the trigger is gone :) Hope you get that BFP very soon!

chelsea -good to see you here :)

Delsol - - hope you catch that egg tonight :)

cat_lover - - Thanks for being a great (co) threadmistress! Hope you are having fun on vacation!

Sorry for anyone that I missed - doing my best to keep up but this thread moves fast!

As for me, expecting AF to show tomorrow night - though so far no signs. No spotting - no nothing. I haven't been temping though so I really don't know. If she doesn't show tomorrow night - we'll see what happens. At the end of July / beginning of August my cycle was like this and AF decided to show 5 days late. I'm slightly hopeful - but not holding my breath.

Like I said in a previous post, I think the more significant thing is that I only seem to spot pre-AF when we have good BD timing. I definitely think something could be happening but implantation is unable to take place.

We'll see - just have to get through the next few days first.

Checking in! Without much to report. This IS the boring part of the cycle. Feeling better from the stones but still achy. My CM seems to be progressing according to expectations.

I have a QOTD:

Have you been on any special diet while TTC?

YAY! A new thread and a fresh month *breath in, breath out*. Thanks, threadmistresses! I am hoping for a record month for us in November!
Robyn- I hope AF doesn't stop in for a visit! When do you think you will test?
QOTD- nope, none at all. Early in my TTC journey, I quit drinking any caffine, but that's been a while ago and I no longer stick to it.

I posted in the old thread after this one was open...oops! Copied from the old thread:
ABirney-Girl, I am sorry for all the family health drama! I hope FIL starts getting better, and I hope that MIL gets good news! Glad your grandma got good news!

honeygirl- Yay for a nearly + OPK! I've don't OPKs twice, I think, and I can't remember how long it took to get really + after I could tell it was getting darker...not long, I know. a day or 2 maybe? Anyway, jump that DH tonight and as late as possible before he leaves!

polkadot- I hope jumping DH in the morning works!

I don't know - I really expect her to show. Maybe by Sunday if she's not here by then? That would make her really late (similar though to July/August) - but I'm not sure when I O'ed - could have been stress-delayed. I'm headed to a baby shower on Sat and I'd probably be tempted to blurt out any news - if AF doesn't arrive by Sun (doubtful! I'm sure she'll be here before then) I'll test.

I have a QOTD:

Have you been on any special diet while TTC?

Not really - I'm trying to lose weight b/c I need to - but no special TTC diet. Actually - I take that back - I do try and watch/limit the amont of tuna I eat b/c of the mercury. Other than that, I don't think so.

I've been trying to cut down on sugar (which, umm, isn't working), cut down on caffeine and alcohol (though not cut it out entirely -- I'm a lawyer -- I require artificial stimulants to function!), and have more dairy (lots of yogurt) for calcium, and I've been eating flax seeds like there's no tomorrow (I add them to oatmeal in the morning.) But part of that is just a general urge to eat more healthily. Plus the regular lots of Fruits & Veggies. And grapefruit juice.

Thought this site was interesting -- particularly the OPK odyssey and discussion of OPK's.

Sam - Wow. It never would have occurred to me that the B-complex could be contributing to my late O and annovulation problems. I only started taking it because of Marilyn Shannon's book! I thought it would help!

Dana - That information looks pretty useful. Thanks for posting!

Loud curly - Thanks for posting that website. There is a lot of good info there.

polkadot - Sorry you missed DH today. There's always tomorrow morning!

honeygirl - Yikes! Sam said the same thing. I guess that's something to ask the doctor about tomorrow! YAY for the OPK strip getting darker! I hope you O tomorrow and that you get in some nice quality BD in the early morning hours!

Angie - Oh my. I'm so sorry about your in-laws. What a terrible thing for you to be going through...your family is in my thoughts.

RobynScott - Hmmm, that's an interesting observation about the spotting. I wonder what could cause implantation not to be able to take place. I guess it's good that you noticed it and can research it in case that is the issue you're facing.

DianeCourt - Actually, I looked at your chart, and your temp is still really high. In fact, I'm thinkin' that you're going to get a BFP tomorrow, and that you're pg with fraternal twins, since you did have 2 implantation-looking dips. Just my $0.02! ;)

QOTD: I'm not on any special diet. I try to limit the sugar and bread, just for my own health, but I'm not very good about that either, especially at this time of year! :o

I'm super-excited about my appointment in the morning. I got a message today asking that I call the doctor's office ASAP, but I didn't get the message until I got home, after the office closed. I SERIOUSLY hope my appointment hasn't been cancelled or anything! I left a message asking them to call me back first thing in the morning if there was any problem.

I'm still not really sure what questions to ask her. But in all honesty, she's a specialist, and like honeygirl said, she should be the one asking me the questions. I do plan to talk to her specifically about Clomid, Metformin, and vitamin B. But I'll let her make any other suggestions that she thinks advisable. I'll update as soon as I'm done there!

Ah a new month and hopefully lots and lots of BFPs for us all!!! Sending some BABY DUST!!!!

ABirney - my goodness you have so much going on right now. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Hope everyone gets better soon :)

ADSIGMEL - interesting to note that taking a supplement might contribute to problems. I wonder I have not been real good about taking my prenatals the last 2 months due to traveling and being so sick. Wonder if that is part of the problem. Good luck at the doctor's tomorrow.

Polka - hope you had good luck this AM!!!

Amuse Bouche - glad you are feeling better :)

Dianecourt and Robyn - keeping my fingers crossed for both of you!

CD25 for me and spotting has started so please AF arrive today or tomorrow.

Threadmistress, could you please move me to "I think i ovulated, testing the week of 11/7." Thank you!

Haven't been able to post too much, since I've been bogged down with the move. We have to be out of the apartment on Friday so i'm going down tonight to help with the last minute packing and disassembling of furniture. I'm so tired....

Will try to post again asap, which will be tomorrow night! Good luck to everyone testing or trying to catch the egg today!

Honeygirl - Hope you are able to catch that egg!

ABirney - Sorry to hear about your FIL. I hope he'll be fine. Glad to hear the good news about your grandmother.

Robyn - I hope AF doesn't show, but don't we all. Good luck.

Diane - Sorry about the temp drop.

ADSigMel - It could very well be your problem. I think it works well for some people. That's why I took it in the first place, to help me. That one cycle my aunt who is a nurse told me to stop taking it and immediately AF showed up. I obviously don't know if it was stopping the medicine that brought her on or not. Now I'm not taking any supplements. I take my women's one-a-day and my folic acid supplement. After my last LONG cycle DH told me to stop taking the extra crap I was taking. I was taking Vitex, cranberry, acidopholus, Magnesium, and Calcium supplements. Good luck with your appointment today. I'll be waiting anxiously to hear what your doc says!

QOTD - No new diet but I think I might need to look into something though. Lately I haven't been happy with my body. I go through this in phases every once in awhile I get FED up with the way I look. I'm not thinking that maybe just maybe I have PCOS of course I don't have a diagnosis for it but it would certainly explain the long cycles. I read somewhere about low carb diets helping so I might try cutting carbs, not completely, but take out a lot of them. I actually did stop caffeine a few months ago. Wasn't because of TTC purposes though. I have gastritis and the doc told me to not drink caffeine to avoid bad reflux. So I figured I'd use that as a great opportunity to cut it out completely.

Me - CD 25 I think. Temp dropped drastically this morning. I wasn't as tired last night but DH and I got in a bad argument so we didn't BD at all. I also haven't been feeling great about the way I look. I was watching a Baby Story last night (tivo'd it) and one of the episodes I watched the woman gained 50 lbs. I can't imagine gaining that much wait when I'm PG. I'd really like to drop about 10 lbs before that so I'm going to start trying to reduce my carbs. I eat way too many carbs daily. That's my weakness. I won't cut it out completely just limit it. Hopefully I can do it. Last night's opk was negative again. Had creamy CM yesterday. I have no idea if my body is gearing up to O or if its going to turn into an annovulatory cycle. Update on my mom, she had a sonogram done of another lump her doctor found in her other breast. He thinks it might be a tumor. We should hear something today. It appears that the blood thinners are doing their job so who knows maybe she can go home soon. I think today I'm going to skip going to the hospital after work. It's just exhausting me to go everyday. So I think instead I'm going to go to the gym to let off some steam. If I don't go there then I'll go home and take a nap for sure. I guess it all depends on which way my car takes me home. LOL

Updates: I can be moved to the taking a break section
TTC since: 02/06-11/06 Starting again 03/07
Known issues/test results: Low iodine

BFN this morning followed by spotting within 30 minutes. It is getting brighter so I have no doubt that AF will fully set up residence by the end of the day. We're going to use this 4 month break to save less for the baby fund and instead work hard at paying down/off student loans. I'll still follow along and post if y'all don't mind even though we won't be officially TTC again until March.

Kanga - Sorry about the BFN :(. Good luck on the break and paying down those student loans! We just paid ours off, and it's great not having that hanging over our heads each month - plus it frees up money for the baby.

ABirney - Wow, you have a lot going on (((HUGS))). Hope that your ILs are doing better.

Sammy - Good luck to your Mom and her testing - hope everything comes back negative for cancer. Sorry about not Oing yet, but I'm guessing that all the stress is probably taking a toll on your body. Hope you can get some rest and/or blow off some steam today - both very necessary!!!

Ceaserbride - Good luck testing!!! Can't wait to hear the results!!! :)

Me, FF confirmed that I Oed, and I have much higher post-O temps this cycle than the last one so far. Right now, I'm not planning on testing before Friday 11/10, so I have a week and a half to go... Oh, how slow the 2WW seems to go....

This thread moves very fast so the easiest way to update is if everything is in RED. Otherwise, your threadmistresses might miss something. I'll try and put my TM hat back on tonight for updates.

(and if you've posted an update in black, could you please edit it to be red, pretty please? That way I won't miss any updates tonight.)
Thanks!

ETA - Kanga - I definitely hope you will stick around! Good luck getting things sorted out / loans paid down during your break!

Loud_curly and 2 crazy_pugs - yay for O'ing!

As for me, don't know what is going on. This feels like last July/August where I had no AF symptoms and then she showed up 5 days late :( Not sure if all of the work hours have screwed up my O date or what (esp since I didn't chart this month) - I still think she'll show up (late) before the weekend - guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Hey girls!

Well I got home last night at 9:30 pm and J had the box of hpt sitting on the kitchen counter. He bought a 2 pack!! J asked me if I was going to take one and I replied "No! I have to wait until tomorrow morning!!" So we settled in on the couch to watch CSI and the first five minutes of the show were just killing me. You know, I think I could hear them...
"Pee-eee on me! You know you want to pee on me!"
So I jumped up off the couch and got the box & started reading the directions (like I've never peed on a stick before ). Jason's like "what are you doing? Are you going to take it?" "Yup" I said "I can't handle it."

Then he follows me to the bathroom! I'm like "what do you think you're doing??" "Arn't we going to do it together", he askes. "Uhh..there is no way you're watching me pee on a stick!"

So I go in the bathroom and pee on the stick..I was going to wait and put the cap back on & then have J go into the bathroom and check to see what it said but....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.*as soons as* I finished peeing on it for the recommended 5 seconds the + was already there!! Clear as day!!! It was a Big Fat Posititve

So I just yelled out "Honey, are you going to come & see what it says???"
I don't remember even pulling up my pants but I walled out of the bathroom, he took a quick glance and said "Honey! That means we're pregnant!" We hugged and kissed for like 10 minutes and I've been a giddy mess ever since!!! I think I'm still in shock!

We're PREGNANT!!!!!

Ceaserbride ~ Congratulations~ Happy & Healthy 9 Months! That is great news! What a great way to start off the November thread.

kanga ~ sorry about the BFN and that you are taking a break. I hope everything works out and you can re-join us soon.

Robyn ~ I hope AF doesn't show for you.

Amuse_Bouche ~ glad you are feeling better.

QOTD: Have you been on any special diet while TTC? No special diet but I should be dieting.

DianeCourt ~ sorry for the temp drop.

ADSigMel ~ good luck today! Did you read the website, I didn't. I actually worked last night at home from 7PM - 9PM to make up the time I'll be missing tomorrow. Maybe I can get to it today, DH is teaching tonight and I don't plan on working at home tonight either.

Sammy ~ I know someone who gained 100 lbs, I'm not kidding, she lost the majority of it but still that's a lot. I also knew of someone who lost weight from being PG but this person was very overweight, just like me so I hope I can be one of those ones who loses weight or only gains 5-10 lbs. Hope everything works out with your mom.

aprilbride ~ good luck with the OPKs.

Loud-Curly ~ woo hoo for Oing! I suspect I'll be going the 2ww shortly.

Ladies let's hope we get lots of BFPs for November!!!!

Me ~ CD42, temps jumped up a little bit so I suspect my O is around the corner. DH was a good sport last night because his back was bothering him but we DTD anyway, even though he wanted it to be a quickie it never turns out that way. One more day until my appointment. My sister thinks she'll tell me I am PG and maybe I didn't POAS correctly. Silly girl, I know I peed on it correctly.

Threadmistress, please move me to "waiting to O." I knew this was coming yesterday, so I'm not surprised. I just wish my body didn't try to fool me on Sunday like it did!

Our chances this month will be very small. The start of firearm hunting season for deer in Michigan is the week that I'll O. CD18 is the latest I've ever O'd, and that's the day DH gets home.

2 Crazy Pugs, your temp dip could easily be an implantation dip which usually occurs between 5DPO and 11DPO. How long is your luteal phase usually? Here's hoping your temp goes way up tomorrow!

Diane, do you have any other symptoms? Are you still sweating at night? You're not out till the ol' witch shows!

Mel - Thanks for the good luck vibes, and I hope you get AF soon.

filmgirl - YAY, O! It's a nice strong one, too, and your BD timing looks great.

Sam - Wouldn't you know it, I totally forgot to ask about the vitamins. We had a really productive visit, though, I think. I'm sorry about your fight with DH...that always sucks. Good for you for planning to take some time for yourself today, though.

kanga - I'm sorry about the BFN and about you needing to take a break. But hopefully March will be your month...and we definitely hope you'll still hang out here sometimes until then!

Loud curly - That chart is looking beautiful...awesome BD timing!

2 Crazy Pugs - At this point in your cycle, the temp drop today could be either AF coming (which would indicate that you have a short LP) or an implantation dip (which would indicate that you have a BFP coming). So it will take at least one more temp to be able to tell. I hope it's an implantation dip, though!

Robyn - Well, I hope she doesn't show. ;) But if she does, at least you know you can get better BD timing this time around.

pocahontas - I'm sorry you've been waiting so long for your BFP. :( Maybe this will be your month!

ceaserbride - EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Congratulations! H&H 9 months! Thanks for the baby dust, and I'm sure we all hope to join you on the other side very soon!

Dana - It does look as though you are either about to O or O'd yesterday. Either way, the BD timing is looking great. Maybe you'll get an anniversary BFP!

BrownEyedGirl - Holy cow, that's one of the nicest-looking charts I've seen in a while! Like tealynn said, it's still early, but it certainly looks promising at this point!

DianeCourt - I'm sorry about AF. :( I guess you can't make DH take you hunting with him, huh? ;)

**************

As you may have noticed, I'm back from my appointment. I think it went well. I *really* like the doctor. We talked about my health history, and just from her listening to me, she thinks that I probably have PCOS, possibly with both insulin resistance and hyperandrogynism. So, if I understood her correctly, the most likely course of treatment will be Metformin. She wants to test my FSH, LH, TSH, prolactin, progesterone, glucose, insulin, testosterone, and lipids before we decide what to do. She is coding all of it as "irregular menstruation," which is what I asked her to do, since I'm *not* seeing her for infertility. I just want to make sure that I don't have any serious underlying health problems of which my reproductive difficulties are just symptoms.

She gave me a Rx for Provera with 3 refills, so that I'll have enough to get me through until we figure out what we need to do next. My 1-year wedding anniversary is in 18 days, however, and I would really rather not have AF celebrating it with us, IYKWIM. If I start the Provera today, there is an excellent chance that I'll be having my period the weekend of November 18-19. So I think I'm going to hold off and start the Provera after our anniversary if I haven't yet spontaneously ovulated and/or gotten AF by then.

I just feel so awesome to finally be making PROGRESS! The next item on my agenda for today is to talk to the insurance people and find out how badly the course of tests she wants to run is going to hurt my pocketbook. Then I need to schedule a time to go in for the labs.

ADSigMel - I'm so so so glad to see you back. I've been thinking about your appointment all day! LOL That is fantastic that they are going to test you for PCOS. I've heard fantastic things about Met. Some women have had luck with getting PG with just Met, and others have to use that and Clomid. Have you gone to http://www.soulcysters.net/ there is tons of info on there. I've actually been checking that site out recently because I'm going to push my doctor to test me to PCOS as well. I have a lot of the symptoms and was hoping that when I went for my annual in July that my doc would have picked up on the possibility of PCOS but he didn't. Now the doc you saw, was that an RE or an ob/gyn?

BrownEyedGirl - That's a great looking chart!!! Your temps are really high, and based on your past charts your temps are heading downwards by 9DPO. I really hope you get a BFP tomorrow - what a great gift!!!

2 Crazy Pugs- Ditto what everyone else said. Could mean AF's on her way, could be an implantation dip, could be a one day temp dip for no reason.

ADSigMel - YAY for such a great appointment!!! And kudos for the doctor coding the visit as irregular menstruation - I don't think any of us will disagree.

Filmgirl - Well, we are definitely cycle buddies - let's hope we become pg buddies too!

Robyn - Hope you managed to chase AF away with a BFP! It would give hope to all of us who can't always have optimal BDing timing.

Delsol - It definitely looks as if O is imminent or just passed - fingers crossed for you. LOL at you comment re knowing how to POAS!! But to be fair, I once oversaturated the test and completely flooded it :o .

Sam - You know I've heard about soulcysters.com, but I never went to the site, since I hadn't been diagnosed or anything. I'm going to check it out now. The doctor I went to is an ob/gyn, but she seems really knowledgeable. She was glad to hear that I had been charting, and she certainly knows her medications and protocols. I think she was indeed worth the 2-month wait. :p

Loud curly - Yeah, I really am more concerned with fixing the problems causing my weird cycles than I am with getting pregnant immediately. Pregnancy would just be an added bonus! I'm sure it will happen once I get the other issues fixed, and I won't have to have any expensive "infertility" visits!

Jessica - Of course its ok to be in more than one thread! Silly girl I'm over here too!! LOL Welcome.

ADSigMel - I'm sooo happy for you girl. I want a doc like yours!!! Can you send one down here to South Florida please??? LOL I've decided that on Friday when I go for my sonogram and possible pg test (even though it will be soooo negative) I'm going to make sure that the pg test is a blood test and I'm going to DEMAND that they check my progesterone as well. It should be rather low if I haven't O'd yet. And then on Monday when I go to see the doc I'm going to DEMAND that I get tested for PCOS and I'm going to slyly ask him what he thinks about Charting. I won't tell him I'm doing it yet but depending on what he says on those two BIG things I might be switching ob/gyn's. And if that means I have to call around and ask doctors if they understand charting and/or they do testing for PCOS before I go in for a visit then so be it, I will!!! LOL So the bloodwork you are doing is that the CD 3 bloodwork?

ADSigMel

Sam - LOL, I'd love to send you a good doctor down there! I think it's a GREAT idea to call doctors and ask what they think about charting and stuff before going to them. I was constrained by a referral, so I was sort of limited and just lucked out. But I do think that more gyn's are into charting now than in the past. My doctor is pretty young, so I think that might be why she's so savvy. Didn't you say that your gyn is an older gentleman? You know, I'm not sure if the labs she wants to do are supposed to be CD3 bloodwork...she didn't say anything to me about needing to come in at any certain time. I'm supposed to call her before I come in so she can have the requisition forms ready for me, though, so I suppose she'll tell me then if that's what she wants me to do.

ADSigMel....I'm really glad you had a good appointment. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1995, apparently I grew out of it cause things are pretty normal hormonewise. I would second visiting the soulcysters site. There are some great girls over there. And it sounds like you have a great doc. You are on the path to good health (and hopefully a beautiful baby to boot).

ADSigMel - Yes my ob/gyn is an older gentleman. How funny is this...I emailed the guy that married us since he is now a great friend of the family and his wife just recently delivered their second daughter. Well I emailed him this morning asking him who was thier ob/gyn. And he not only gave me her name but 2 other names. All women. Maybe I really should consider switching to a woman ob/gyn that is younger of course. I know there are docs out there that agree with charting so its just a matter of finding them. That's not going to be easy. I'm pretty sure the bloodwork you need to do is CD 3. That soul cysters website has tons of info about the labs and even what the numbers should be and everything. I found it very interesting. Granted I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS but its great to know that there is such a wealth of information out there for those that have it.

Jessica - the more threads the better when you are obsessed with TTC. LOL I swaer I'm on like 5 thousand and that's not enough. LOL Just kidding. I wish, that would make the day go by sooooo fast though.

Ceasarbride - WooHOo!! Congrats on your bright BFP! What a wonderful Halloween treat. :) Have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

AdSigMel - Glad to hear that you like your DR and that she's got a mess of tests for you to do. Good luck with those!

teacher_jessica - Welcome back. I'm with you on the obsessive OPK part of our cycles. ;0 I think it's fine to be in more than one TTC thread, heck I'm in 3 right now.

ADSigMel ~ An anniversary BFP would be great, thanks for reminding me AF will be around our anniversary. I'm so glad to hear your appointment well so great!

Loud_curly ~ I 'm hoping it's a definite O this time. Need to check out your chart, haven't been chart stalking lately.

teacher_jessica ~ welcome back!

Tonight I really wanted to veg tonight and watch LOST but I am going to get my exercise in tonight at the pool since it was cancelled last night. This way I can see my swimming friends too.

Hey all - still no signs of AF. This feels like the beginning of August when (for the first time in my life) - AF was 5 days late. Of course, that followed a month in which AF was 5 days early ...

I didn't chart this month b/c of my crazy schedule so I have no idea how delayed (if at all) my O was. I'm 14 - 15 days after my predicted O (ovusoft and FF) - but I really don't know if it was delayed.

I suspect I will see AF by the weekend if not sooner. If she doesn't show (fingers crossed!) hoping to test Sunday. We'll see if I make it - I'm just thinking I would prefer to see AF than a BFN (not sure why). BTW - my boobs are killing me - worse than my usual pre-AF symptom but I'm really not reading anything into that (or at least trying not to :) )

oh well - just have to wait and see. (and I am not going to drive myself crazy by starting to temp now)

Have a good night all - lots of good TV on!

ETA - holy cow! this thread was started last night and we already have 61 posts!

Hi ladies...
ceasarbride congrats!!!!! H&H 9 months!
melandtim Hopefully AF will arrive before your surgery so it will be mostly gone during your recovery.
filmgirl Yay for O'ing! They say new house, new baby...
Sam Hope things turn out good for your mom. Good luck at the Dr Friday, hopefully they'll agree to do your testing!
kanga Sorry AF found you. Have a good break and hope you have good luck when you start up again next spring.
LoudCurly Yay for O'ing!
2crazypugs Like the other posters said, could either be implantation, short LP, or a fluke. Hope it's implantation!
Robyn Hope AF stays away!
DelSol LOL at your sisters comment about peeing correctly. Even though it can happen wrong.. one time a few months ago I was taking a pg test to confirm it was ok to start Provera... and missed the stick entirely. Duh!! :o
BrownEyedGirl looking good so far! Hope you can give DH a great bday present! (Even though it is a bit early so don't be upset if it's neg... )
DianeCourt Sorry AF found you. Hopefully you can time things next cycle around hunting.
Chelsea Hope you caught your egg!
ADSigMel Glad you had a good dr visit. I had to have all those tests as well to get diagnosed with PCOS/Insulin resistance and they didn't do it on any certain cycle day... they just had me go in the morning after my appt after fasting. My insurance covered it all too... they also coded it as irregular cycles rather than infertility.
teacherjessica Welcome back!

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for FIL. He's still in the hosp but feeling alot better and anxious to get home. DH said tonight though that they are doing some more testing... I guess there is a suspicious looking mass in his lower part of his lung.... (and he's a big time smoker.... ) :(

CONGRATULATIONS CEASERBRIDE!!

missy ~ We O'd on the same day! Too funny! When do you plan to test?

I just got back from vacation today, and I've tried to skim through the end of the last thread, but there is no way I can catch up with shout-outs. So I'm just going to do a generic "Sorry for those that AF found." Nothing too exciting for me yet at 7DPO. Had lots of BB tenderness right after O, but nothing now. I don't entirely trust my temps simply b/c of the restless nights sleeping in a strange bed, waking up at odd times, etc. Hopefully tomorrow's temp will be a better gauge for me. :)

I am totally exhausted - all the time changing has done a number on me. Going from MO to AZ was a 2 hour time difference, then with daylight savings (that AZ doesn't participate in) and trying to figure out what time I need to temp in the mornings, on top of a 2.5 hour flight today and all the activities we did this past week...my head is spinning! I do know that it's 9:30pm now, and I need to get ready for bed!! :) I am NOT looking forward to going back to work tomorrow ~ I'm sure I have like a million emails waiting for me.

Diane - sorry AF found you :(

Welcome back cat_lover! Hope you had a greta trip!

ABirney - I am so glad your FIL is doing better! Hope he gets home quickly!

Robyn - hope AF stays away!!

teacher_jessica - welcome back! I am on both threads as well.

CD 2 for me! AF arrived yesterday afternoon and we are onto cycle #7. Yay so she will be about finished by tomorrow!!!! I am very happy about that so I don't have to worry about it with my recovery. DH and I were discussing getting pg last night and we both laughed and said that I would most likely get pg this month since I said from the start I didn't want to be due in August. At this point I'll take it!!!

missy329
11-02-2006, 05:46 AM
Cat Lover- I will probably not need to test because AF is due Saturday. This was a very weird cycle for me- I always O on CD13 or 14. This month was CD19! So, when AF is due to start (on Saturday) I will only be 9DPO. Anyway, if I haven't started by Monday I will test then. I am really not feeling like this was our month however.

When do you plan to test?

FSUSammy
11-02-2006, 05:51 AM
ABirney - I hope that mass in your FIL's lung turns out to be nothing. Unfortunately sometimes it takes a huge scare for someone to quit smoking. My dad has been smoke-free for 6 years last month. I only know that because he quit after the scare of his life. He had a heart attack (that he didn't know of) and needed a 5 bypass surgery. So unfortunatley for some people it takes a scare, and for others they never learn. My MIL has only 1 lung or something and she still smokes like a chimney. She will NEVER learn!

RP from SWH:

Me- CD 25 today. Still haven't O'd. Last night's opk was once again negative. I've been taking opks since CD 10 and I refuse to run out and buy anymore this cycle. I should have 6 left (1 cheap internet one, 1 CBE Digital, 3 regular CBE's, and 1 Answer One-Step). If I run out of opks then tough I'm not wasting anymore money on them!!! Ovusoft is estimating O on Saturday, based on my previous cycles. Who knows really. I have a plan though....I go tomorrow for my sonogram and for a possible PG test. I will insist that the PG test be a blood test and that they test my progesterone levels too. My progesterone should be rather low since I haven't O'd yet. That should prove to the doctor that clomid didn't work for me even though he insisted last week that I have O'd. I'll see the doc on Monday so I'll also ask him if I could be tested for PCOS which requires CD 3 bloodwork. And I'm going to ask him what he thinks about charting. I don't want to come out and tell him I'm charting because it would really make me mad if he insulted it and me for doing it. I rather pretend that I just found out about it and want his opinion. If he won't up my clomid dose for next cycle OR refuses to test me for PCOS OR extremely upsets me about the charting thing I'm switching doctors. LOL Oh as for my mom, she might have surgery today to remove the two bumps in her breasts. Her doctor rather take them out now than have to remove them later. I'm waiting to hear from her to see if her bloodwork came back ok for her to go into surgery. They had to reverse the effects of the blood thinners yesterday and they were supposed to test her blood early this a.m. to see if it was good enough for surgery.

2 Crazy Pugs - Wow, that's some temp jump!! Hope it means a BFP for you soon!

Sammy - Hope everything works out OK for your mom- it must be a really tough time for her. As for your plans for the dr. appt., I think it sounds like a very good approach. Glad that you're not too invested in your dr. to walk away and find a better one. Looking at your chart, I can see that you *maybe* ovulated on CD17 (Tuesday 10/24). If that was the case, your CL would be around 97.5, and the temp dip today could be the implantation dip. Hopefully you'll get some bloodwork done to confirm this one way or the other.

Catlover - Welcome back - hope you had a great trip!! Good luck getting adjusted again with the time changes!

ABirney - Hope your FIL gets out of the hospital soon!

Robyn - How great would it be if this was your month, esp. since you had *NO* expectations. Fingers crossed!

Me - 4 DPO. Ho hum...

Ho hum - you're too cute! Hope the 2WW doesn't feel too long for you.

As for me - I am still expecting AF - the frustrating thing is, now I don't know when to expect her b/c I don't know when I O'ed - ugh!

Before August, I would have said I have never been this late before - now I fear it's going to be a repeat of August. If it's a repeat - the spotting would start tomorrow afternoon and AF by Sunday. Of course, she started in Aug shortly after I took a HPT to confirm I wasn't PG.

UGH - if I O'ed really, really late (or didn't O at all - which has never happened before - but hey, you never know) - then I have no clue when AF will show.

Trying to keep my fingers crossed and my expectations low!

Sammy - I hope your mom is ready for the surgery tomorrow - I know how difficult this is and so sorry you/your family are going through it!

Sam - hope all goes well for your Mom tomorrow.

ABirney - most of my Dad's family has died of lung cancer from smoking and his oldest brother is on his deathbed from cancer and his Mom has emphysema (sp?). Do you think he has quit smoking?? Nope. I wish he would I want him to be around for a long time. Hopefully the mass is nothing but I will keep him in my thoughts.

Robyn - hopefully you are late for a good reason!

2 Crazy Pugs ~ that is some temp jump, I'm thinking implantation. I hope it keeps up.

Sammy ~ I hope your mom is good to go for tomorrow. Sorry for the lack of O. I hope it happens soon.

Loud_curly ~ love the Ho hum... I feel like I'm in a ho hum stage but I think should be Oing soon so tonight is another BDing night.

RobynScott ~ fingers crossed that AF doesn't show, you haven't had any spotting either have you?

me ~ CD43, almost lost track of the Cd. Today is my appointment. I've printed out some of my charts and the overlays. What is really weird and I didn't see this before is that FF is saying I possible went triphasic on CD 36, when I keep my temps for CD16 & CD17 in. Hmmm makes me wonder what is going on, I'll find out at 4PM EST.

DianeCourt

ADSigMel: Yay! I'm glad you're getting the attention you deserve from the doc. It must feel good to be doing something finally!

2 Crazy Pugs: I agree - chart looks promising! Do you know how long your Luteal Phase usually is?

CD 2. Wow - I had forgotten how heavy & crampy AF is when I'm off BCP. Yuck. I have an extremely regular cycle, so part of me is wondering why I bother to chart at all. It just gets me worked up, and I end up reading all of this stuff into my LP temps that isn't there. I know I ovulate on CD17 or 18, and I know my LP is 13 days long. That's enough to tell me when we should time intercourse and when AF is late, and, most importantly, when it makes sense to test. I had to chart to learn those things, but now I'm questioning the value of charting to me. I'm thinking about giving it up....can anybody talk me out of that?

Hello Ladies,

Sorry for not being around much, I have just been down and out for the last week or so. I started spottinng (brown, not red so far) since CD16 and I am now on CD24. I just know that AF is going to show and it will be onto Clomid next cycle. :( I really wanted to be able to get pregnant without having to take fertility drugs, but at this point I just want to be pregnant.

Plus last week a couple we know announced that they were pregnant. They were only trying for about 6 months total, with a break in between. They are very early in their pregnancy...like 6 weeks and were telling everyone. The hardest part is she is a very over dramatic person. Everytime we see her she talks about how sick she is and that she can feel her uterus expanding!! Ugh...it just drives me nuts.

ceasarbride Congrats on your BFP...H&H 9 months to you!

Good luck to everyone else testing and/or trying to catch the eggie. Sorry to all those who AF found you. Hang in there.

Jessie - Cheer up girlie! I keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason. I know you don't want to hear that but trust me when the time is right it will happen. With or without clomid. Plus you aren't out until AF shows up in full force, you hear me!

Sammy - Sounds like you have a great plan of attack for your dr appt. Good luck. Also best wishes for your mom and her surgery (hopefully tomorrow). So much stress for you right now, I hope that you are able to find ways to relax here and there.

2 Crazy Pugs - Wow, that is quite a temp jump. :D

RobynScott - Hang in there. I hope things end one way or another for you soon!

DelSol - Good luck with your appointment this afternoon. Let us know how it goes (inquiring minds want to know ;) ).

DianeCourt - What about charting less? Just do the middle part of your cycle, not the beginning or the end? That way you won't obsess as much about FPS. I think if we're very focused on TTC then the more information the better. I've been much calmer this cycle b/c I've been doing charting AND OPK strips. The extra info helps me. Anyway, you could always take a break and see how you feel after 1 or 2 cycles off? You could still hang around here though. :)

Me: I'm working from home today so I'm on my laptop in bed. :) I had pretty painful cramps last night which I think were O related. I did some googling and found that painful O (pre or during) pains are common due to a few factors, I won't bore you with the details. Anyway, it was hard to sleep but I guess I was glad to have them b/c it tells me that something is going on. I did 2 OPK's yesterday (3pm and 8pm) and they were darker lines (than tuesday) but not as dark as the control. However, I had those pains and then this morning my temp shot up so I'm wondering. What do you ladies think? Did I O maybe?

teacher_jessica
11-02-2006, 10:33 AM
Good morning ladies and thank you so much for all the friendly welcomes!

Well, I still didn't receive that +opk yesterday that I was hoping for. I'm going to keep testing with opk's for the next few days but am starting to wonder if I missed my surge??? My temps aren't helping out either because they popped back up after my typical pre-o dip but have been hovering at about the same temp for the past 3 days. I guess I just need to let this week play itself out and hope a little more light gets shed... I hate being patient.

I posted this in another thread also but I have a good friend who just watching the movie, "What the Bleep Do We Know?" (or something like that) and she loved it and told me it was about how sometimes our thoughts, feelings and statements affect the outcome of things. So, she taped the statement, "I WILL GET PREGNANT" to the waterbottle I keep at my desk (good thing I have another one to fill it up with so that random people don't read it). I'll have to get the movie to see what this is all about though... sounds interesting. I do have to say that I've found myself reading the statement repeatedly throughout the day and it puts a smile on my face.

jessied1025~ I'm so sorry you're feeling down. I completely sympathize with you though because I've experienced that feeling several times lately. I've had 3 people close to me announce that they are pregnant within the past few weeks. My sister-inlaw, who wasn't trying, my good friend who "got pregnant" the month before they were going to start TTC, and another friend who got pregnant on the second month of TTC. It kind of makes you want to scream sometimes huh? Hugs to you!

DianeCourt~ I hope that AF gets out of town and that you don't have to suffer through cramps for much longer!!!

DelSol~ I wish you lots and lots of luck at your appointment!

RobynScott~ Oh, that's frustrating! I hope it all concludes with a nice bfp!!!

Loud_curly~ You're so funny. But, ho-hum kind of sums up the begining of another cycle!!!

missy329~ Keep those hopes up! I'm a late ovulater myself but that must have been frustrating since you're used to Oing much earlier!

melandtim~ Not only are we on the same cycle # (lucky #7) but I never wanted a baby in August either! It seems like everyone in my family was born in August... plus that's a tough month for me as a teacher. But, like you I'll take a baby whenever!!! :D

cat_loverpq~ I hope your trip was lots of fun and that your body readjusts to the time soon! Welcome back!

ABirney~ My thoughts are with your family and I hope your FIL continues to improve!

Have a great Thursday everyone! I'll be in and out of here all day probably (I can't help but peek whenever the kiddos are out at recess or music or something)! :D

jessica ~ Thanks! We had a really good time, and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to get up this morning!

honeygirl ~ Hope you feel better soon. It looks like maybe you did O. A couple more days will tell for sure...

2 Crazy Pugs ~ Very pretty chart!

Robyn ~ Have you taken your temp to see if you are even in the post-O range? At least that would tell you if you O'd or not.

missy ~ If you O'd later though, that would push back AF. It looks like your LP is usually around 12-13 days, so AF shouldn't be due until Tuesday or so, right? I will probably test on Tuesday, even though AF isn't due until Thursday.

Sam ~ Sorry the Clomid didn't seem to work for you this cycle. Good luck with the dr tomorrow! And fingers crossed for your mom...

Loud_curly ~ Thanks! I am slowing adjusting...

Dana ~ Hope you get some answers today!

Diane ~ If you are lucky enough to have a perfectly regular cycle and find that charting just makes you more anxious/stressed, then I would say put the therm away for a couple cycles and see how you do. Sometimes too much info can cause brain overload. ;)

My temp went up today to a level that I am much more comfortable with. :) I guess I just needed to be back in my own bed and get a good night's sleep!

Congradulations Caesarbride!! H&H 9 months.

I feel like I only post in here when i have these weird issues, but i do read along daily! So the new issue... As I posted last week, AF came earlier than expected, and i did change FF to show a 11 day LP like you suggested for the last cycle. But now, I am spotting after AF. AF was done (or so i thought) Sunday afternoon/evening. Well we DTD early monday am, and that's when i noticed spotting. it didn't last long, and it wasn't alot. Then i just went to the bathroom, and I'm spotting again. what's up with that? This isn't bright red, more almost orangeish/brownish.

Also AF was longer this cycle. it had been about 2 days, this cycle it was 5 days, not counting the spotting days.

Honeygirl - Looking at that temp jump, I would say that you have Oed!! Maybe give it another day or 2 of high temps before you call it?

Jessied - Sorry you're feeling so down. Sometimes life is really unfair, huh? Esp. when it seems *everyone* around you is getting pregnant (even those who weren't trying and didn't want to  ). In any event, (((HUGS))) to you.

Teacher Jessica - I was wondering how you manage to post in the middle of the day, but your ending gave that away!! Glad you have some time to unwind - all those kids must be quite tiring! And I also didn't want to have kids in the summer.

Ceaserbride - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Delsol - good luck at your appointment! Hope it goes well!

LilOne - No idea about the weird periods. Maybe you should call your dr.? My length and flow stay pretty much constant from month to month.

I'm back from my appointment. It was ok, nothing spectacular. She wants me to take another HPT, so I'll be doing that tomorrow. She's not sure why I haven't gotten AF. She doesn't think there's anything to worry about right now since we are BDing on the correct days and for some couples it could take a year of trying before succeeding and she mentioned now some doctors are looking at 2 years of trying to be normal after that then they will talk about fertility issues (not what I wanted to hear).

She thinks I should stop charting since it's probably making me obsessed with when we have to DTD and I'm not relaxing. She really didn't look at my charts. She made it sound like you didn't have to have sex too much to get PG. She told me sperm can live 72 hours.

She did write a script for me to get some blood work done on CD3, once AF shows up. I have the paperwork in the car so I don't recall what she's testing me for.

I did ask her about the flu shot and she said I should get it. I also asked about my weight and she said I should try to lose some weight. This was something I planned on doing this upcoming month if I wasn't PG. I figured I could take a beak and this will by my way of being able to diet and not have to worry about PG or not.

Dana- Glad your appt was productive. I've actually been considering stopping the charting myself. I'm not sure but maybe its creating some kind of stress for me which in turn is causing my long cycles, I don't know. Hopefully you won't need to do the CD 3 bloodwork.

Ceaserbride- Congrats! So you are one of those overachievers that gets it right the first time, huh?;) Thanks for the baby dust!
kanga1622- please stick around! I hope the break does you some good, both emotionally and for your health!

ADSigMel- I am so glad you had a productive appointment and a possible Dx!
teacher_jessica- Welcome back, girl! Of course you can be a member of 2 threads...heck, join 3 or 4 if you can!
missy329- I agree with cat_lover. If you O'd late, you should get AF late. Your luteul phase should stay fairly regular. If Sat would only be 9 DPO, it would be too early to test, too. I would wait until about Wednesday or so if I were you.

jessied1025- I'm sorry you've been down. All of us long-haulers go through that (and some of the not-so-long TTCers). It seems to me that it's when your body is doing weird stuff, or the day you get AF that all of the baby announcements or annoying pregnant people show up. Chin up, girl!

Diane-Sorry about AF:(
Mel- Yay about AF:)

I know I missed a ton of people, but I just can't catch up!

me- Since poca is reminiscing, I will too. This is my 11th Charting thread. I was on the SWH thread for I think 4 months before I started charting. I think this is the reason that I am AGAIN getting discouraged about my chances for this cycle. How stupid is that, since I did have an IUI with drugs that should really help my chances??? Anyway, it's CD 22, 8 DPIUI. I keep feeling these pulling, stabbing feelings in my lower abdomen. I don't think I would have even noticed, except that I know I had 2 follies on the left (blocked) side that my dr. mentioned in passing that we might want to watch and make sure they go down. I guess I will call her if AF shows and tell her I want to check it out before doing more drugs. That's all!

Annette ~ Welcome! In the future, please make sure to post your updates in red so that the threadmistresses can see it better. This thread can get pretty hectic some days and the red makes it easier to do updates. Thanks! :)

FSUSam Sounds like a good plan w/ your dr. Also good luck w/ your mom, hopefully she can have her surgery tomorrow and it goes well.
2crazypugs Nice jump!
Robyn Hope AF stays away for a good reason.
DelSol Glad your appt went ok, hopefully you won't need that CD3 bw!
jessied Sorry about the spotting and that you're feeling down. Hopefully the Clomid will help out next cycle!
honeygirl Sorry the O pains are bad!
DianeCourt Sorry you are having bad cramps too.
jess Hopefully that pulling feeling means good things!
Annette Welcome! Hope your stay is short and sweet.

Nothing much going on here. FIL got out of the hospital. They don't know for sure if that mass is leftovers from the pneumonia he had a couple weeks ago or something else, they sent him home on a bunch of prescriptions and he has to go back in 2 weeks for a recheck. Thanks everyone for their concern!
DH is home too but no BD... he's got a nasty cold and is miserable. And he has to be up at 3am for work tomorrow.

Hey all, I am back from being out of town, and go figure AF showed while I was "in flight" yesterday. Threadmistress, please move me to waiting to O, thanks!

I called and made an "infertility" appt with my Gyno for next month. I figure by then it will be 6 months of charting, a few wacked out cycles and 10 months of not using any protection at.all. Hopefully I will get some usefull advice....or better yet, hopefully I won't need the appt!!:)

Just posting before getting ready for work. But...Does anyone else see the second line? http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/kennedybm/DSC_0157.jpg

I tested yesterday and the line was so faint that I thought it was an evap line...today the line is a little darker, but still super faint. I'm only 11 dpo.

BrownEyedGirl-Looks like a BFP to me!! I'd say congratulations are in order. 11DPO is pretty early still, so the line should get darker if you test again in a couple days (or every day, like I did!!) CONGRATS!!

Fell way too far behind again to attempt SO's, but I did get to catch up on everyone. I'm at CD11 and had a bit of watery/creamy CM so I think I'll try another OPK this afternoon. Hubby leaves for China on business Monday morning for a week and a half so hopefully I O before Monday!!

BrownEyedGirl - I see the line too. I'd test again to make sure it wasn't an evap line.

Hey ladies. CD 26 today. Still no O or positive opk. I took the day off from work today. I have my doctor's appointment for the sonogram at 11:30. I have to drink 5 glasses of water within 45 min of my appt. That's going to be fun! I'm really hoping that something shows up on the sonogram. I need an explanation for my messed up cycles. Well my mom is scheduled for surgery this afternoon. She will more than likely have to stay the night so that they can make sure she isn't bleeding due to the blood thinne
