Hi... i did a search and came up with nothing....

so i was wondering if any of you could recommend a rail protector.

DD has started to gnaw on the crib rail and i want to protect it.

we bought this one:

Lionheart Teether (http://dreamtimebaby.com/crratebyprli.html)
and she figured out how to take it off....

so i have been debating these two...

any input would be great

#1. We are leaning towards this one because it looks like it wont hurt the crib

Soft fabric teether/protector (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000H3FRA8/nextag-baby-20/ref=nosim)

#2. this seems like the most popular one out there... but i really dont want to wreck the crib rail... and this will... right? it adheres to it?

Gummi rail protector (http://www.surfsidebaby.com/store/KDK2700CLR.html)

id really love to hear how other people have solved this problem! Thanks!

Here is a great solution: http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24012

You can also attach toys or plastic links over the lionheart type to try to keep them on.

Alanna - We are still dealing with the chewing of the crib over here. I actually did a search to try and find my old threads that I started about it, but came up with nothing. The Ace Bandage trick worked for a while, but not with 9+ teeth it isn't. I have a towel covering the large front rail. But, what he is really going to town on is one of the side boards. I really like the looks of those Gummi Crib Teethers. Since the sides of the crib wont be used long-term to make a full size bed, I think they may work for us. Have you ever ordered anything from the site you posted the link to?

i havent... i just picked the first links to the products we were thinking about... i think one step ahead has the gummi protectors though... and i am pretty sure i saw them once in BRU.

Thanks Busy Bee!
i liked the idea of clamping the toys on the one i already have... but im a little worried about having toys in her crib when she is supposed to be sleeping...

we have the Prince Lionheart ones and clamp the toys on but you can also just use the "links" without toys. I've been using the string lately, two per plastic piece, that works pretty well, just double tie the knots really tight and cut the ends off. After a while the string loosens from DD pulling on the teether but I just replace it.
