Congrats to Jessica and welcome back to Mel!:D
As for me, I have had intermittent cramping and such but nothing consistent and nothing strong. I am hoping that there aren't any tomorrow and I can pick up a test to take on Sunday morning. I am kind of wanting to wait and would like to wait even longer but then I would like to tell my parents and they will be in town on Monday if it's +. Then again I don't want them to blab to any other family and they will be back staying with us by next Saturday, so maybe I can wait. What do you think? I will be 14-15 DPO on Sunday. I have heard that Clomid makes the lp longer though. Would that make a a test take longer to be +?

looty - I know Clomid can make your LP longer but I doubt it would affect implantation and the build-up of HCG. I'll be crossing my fingers for you that this is it!!!!

Hey ladies. Quick drive-by post. CD 42 today, 12 DPO. Did another test and it was again BFN. I wonder if my early-pregnany-tests.com strips really work. I so want to test with a FRER or something more reliable but that should work right? Not sure how accurate my temp was this morning. We got home from the FABULOUS Carlos Mencia show around 2:45am. I usually temp at 5 so I instead set my alarm for 6:30 to definitely get in my 3 hours. Well when I temped it came out to 98.1 (yesterday's temp) so of course Ovusoft adjusted it down. If my temp is right based on the adjustment and if tomorrow's temp is also lower then more than likely AF is on her way. I do feel very nauseous today and thankfully not as hot because the tile in our house is keeping me cold. If tomorrow's temp is up again then I probably will just wait till Monday to test again.

Sammy - I would definately try a different test just to be sure. I would just disregards today's temp since you took it later and also went to sleep at a different time.

Congratulations Jessica!!! That's great news!
Mel - Sorry you had complications during your surgery. That sucks. I hope you get back to 100% mighty soon.
Oh and Pride, I think I got your name wrong a couple posts ago. Got confused when you announced you were back!
Sammy, crossing my fingers for you!
ME - back after a quick trip to the west coast. CD8 and looking forward to some BDing soon!

I am not sure what is going on with me - CD19 here for me and I have been taking OPK's all week.. I usually O around day 16/17 and the OPK's Mon and Tue and Wed looked promising.. dark but not quite a positive and then Thu they started getting lighter and no cm so I don't think its the tests - plus Th, Fr and Sat have been light.. we have been keeping a routine going and I guess I will keep testing but I am getting so sick of not being able to drink anything and having to hold it for hours
before having DD my cycles were totally predictable and it took us months to get pg since DH is travelling and I foolishly thought this time would be less drama since he works in NYC now and ha ha on me for thinking that..
don't know if its me being 37 that is the problem or if DD made my cycles that off (been off the pill 5 months) or if work is stressing me out to the point I don't O
I did take my temp this morning but haven't all cycle so I haven't a clue what it means.. its impossible for me to temp since I don't really sleep thru the night
anyway I am just spewing/venting since I can't really vent about this in real life
sigh
Ericka_Jarett
11-18-2006, 07:57 PM
docoNY - one temp won't show you much. But since you don't sleep through the night, would be hard to get good reads I would think. Any of the factors that you stated could be preventing you from Oing or having a delay. Hope you get that BFP soon

Sam~That's what I was thinking so I figured if I tested this morning it should be fine. Thanks! I agree that I would just throw out the temp and just go with whatever you had today. I hope it went up!
Ericka~I will say that it is definitely nice having such a knowledgeable lady like yourself around again. You were always a big help.
Jenn~Good luck bding! Here's hoping you both have extra time off for T-day since that should be optimum bding time if you have fairly 'regular' cycles.
Doco~Did the OPKs ever get dark enough that you thought they were +? You may have missed O or you may still have it coming. That is why in some ways I liked OPKs but in others I hated them. I mostly liked the idea but they never worked for me.
I decided not to test this morning. I don't have a test in the house anyway and I don't want to see a BFN. I thought about asking DH to pick a test up yesterday but I figured it would be too tempting. I have decided that I think I will wait until Wednesday to test if AF hasn't shown by then. I have had some mild intermittent cramping and I am not sure what that means. I keep thinking that AF is probably on her way and then they will go away. I guess I'll know on or before Wednesday.

X-post w/ Charting
Quick question girls? Is CD8 too early to O?
I gotta get ready for our trip, so I won't be back for a few days. I had a temp this morning that FF put me at Oing on CD8, so I'm not sure if I should just wait for temps the next few days or consider me 3DPO now....

looty Good luck testing on Wednesday! I hope AF stays away!
docoNY The same thing happened to me the last two cycles. They got dark, but never positive and then started getting lighter. I think I just missed my surge both times.
Jenn (and Bill) Good Luck with the BD fest!
FSUSammy I agree try a FRER
Me: So I told you how DH wasn't going to give me back my tests until today. Well I "talked" him into giving me one Friday and I took it Friday afternoon (10 DPO), then I took two more on Saturday (11 DPO) and then one more this morning (12 DPO) and they were all BFP!!!! I don't think 4 tests can lie!! I’m going to call the Dr tomorrow to get my blood drawn! I still can’t believe it. I thought for sure I was out for this month I hardly have any symptoms!

Huge Congrats to Jessica and Tenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What wonderful news. Lots extra to be thankful for on Thanksgiving!!! I am sooooo happy for the both of you.
Good luck waiting to test Looty. You are a trooper. Also good luck to FSUSammy and any others waiting to test. I am still waiting to O. Getting ready for lots of Bding. I think O should fall right over out Thanksgiving break so that is happy because we will not be working so we will have more time to BD!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Congrats Tenny!! its hard to argue with 4 tests!! :)
also you give me hope - we were doing the BD last week - probably not as well as we would have if I had a + but we did it so maybe I did O earlier in the week and hopefully caught the egg
Doco[/B]~Did the OPKs ever get dark enough that you thought they were +? You may have missed O or you may still have it coming. That is why in some ways I liked OPKs but in others I hated them. I mostly liked the idea but they never worked for me.
I am starting to hate them :)
they were never quite positive but a lot darker than Fri/Sat - hopefully our plan earlier in the week caught the egg - we were kind of doing every other day and we will continue in case it has yet to come.. not sure if I will keep testing though
cramping before AF is good!! fingers crossed that this is your month! AF stay away!
Ericka your son is gorgeous!
I always start waking rolling around in the early hrs of the am and taking my temp would wake me even more and then taking later is probably wrong since I wasn't really asleep.. I guess we will just keep on going with the bd fest! just realized I have a short short week.. off W-F so that means more energy for BD :)
Pride
I think alcohol can make your temp be higher than normal so that is what probably threw off FF - I had some vino last night so I didn't even bother temping this morning :)
Jenn & HEW?B
good luck catching the egg! a holiday week makes it so much easier!
waving to the rest of ya! lots of chores waiting for me and I am sure I will get trouble for being on line - I was just chewing out DH for reading the paper :)

HEW?B ~ looks like we are on the same O timeframe. I'm thinking mine should be around Thanksgiving.
me ~ CD12 - getting close to O day. We started the BDing a little early but I think we'll BD tonight and then I'll hold off until I get the +OPK.

Congrats Tenny!!!!!
I have MIA for too long to even consider doing SOs right now. As we speak I am taking a tiny break from getting stuff together for my sister's baby shower next weekend. I won't have any time to do anything during the week, and I will be busy all day on thursday what with thanksgiving and my cousin's surprise wedding that i just found out about last week!!! (the shower is on friday). SOOOOO, I wanted to say hello and just drop off an update.
I'm on CD 76/CD2. It just depends on if I am calling what I saw yesterday and today as AF or spotting. Let me explain and y'all can tell me what you think. I was spotting a little bit on friday, then yesterday everytime I would go to the restroom, theere would be very light flow on the TP. This was all day yesterday, so much I had to put a pantyliner on. Then today, no flow, just very dark "after flow" (like after AF leaves and you have that dark kinda chunky stuff the day after...I know, TMI). So that's what I had all morning....I don't know if I should call it AF or what.
I WILL say that I am making an appointment to see a dr after thanksgiving. DH is also going to get his swimmers tested. If all is well with both of us....the real trying is going to begin in dec (assuming my cycle matches up). SOOOOOO, I will probably hop back into the charting thread as well. I'm planning on buy a thermometer this weekend and also start taking my folic acid. Hopefully this is it girls. I will be around a lot more often now!!!!

RP from Journal:
Temp dropped again today. Actually it dropped to 97.1 but the room was really cold and the thermometer was cold too so I warmed that up and retemped and it went to 97.5 which is my coverline. I have been waiting all day for AF to arrive but she's been a no show. If tomorrow's temp is lower then she'll more than likely arrive tomorrow. I have AF-like cramps today so I just know I'm out this cycle.

Looty~Wanted to mention to you, since we are pretty close on Cycles here. I am on CD 28 11dpo! I have a little cramping as well going on. So I am hopeing that I am not going to start, but kind of thinking that I am out this month. I will cross all my CROSSABLES for both iof us. YAY, Congrats Tenny!!!!
CD20 for me. While I did get a positive OPK not sure that I really O'd so I am sure we would be out no matter what this month. FF had me O'ing several days before but its hard to tell since I didn't temp all month and most were done at later hours since I wasn't working. I am waiting to hear back from the doctor about starting Clomid to try to regulate my cycles and hopefully actually O.

A Huge Congrats to Tenny! We are on a roll this month!:D
I have not tested yet because I am planning on waiting until Wednesday if AF doesn't come before then. I was thinking she was going to come yesterday due to intermittent cramps again, but nothing. This morning I am having some light brown spotting though so she will proabbly show today.
I will try to update on AF for sure and do SOs later.

Congrats Tenny!
Update on Me...CD 44 today, 14 DPO. My temp dropped even more today. It's officially below the coverline today. Granted our house is FREEZING! I was able to turn the AC off the other day because of the cold front that made it through and our house was at 71 this morning, usually at night I have the AC set at 76. I don't know if this can cause my temps to be lower or what. I occasionally get AF-like cramps but she's been a no-show. I didn't even bother testing this morning because I figured AF was on her way. I feel like I'm out, but of course I won't know for sure until AF actually arrives.

Morning all - back at work no time for s/o today except CONGRATS Tenny!! Sammy - sorry about AF symptoms and temp dropping. AF stay away!!!!
Me - CD17. +OPK yesterday, so lots of BD around here for us. We jumped the gun on the BD every day last week, but I dont think either of us complained about it. We will BD again today and tomorrow and Wednesday for sure, then see what happens. This 2WW will be hard, I am sure. I have the weirdest cramping today in my left side, I am one of those who is lucky enough to tell when I am Oing, so I am sure it has to do with that. I am crossing everything that its our month!!
Congrats Tenny!!
Hey, does anyone know anything about Lipitor and men's fertility? DH is on it and I never even thought to have him ask his MD about it.... I know women cannot be on it if they plan to become pregnant, but what about men? Does it effect his sperm?

Hi everyone, its Monday which puts me on CD 29 12DPO. I have a little cramping going on. so I think that I am going to be out this month yet again. This is our4th month of trying and I am getting really annoyed here. I just never expected this to be so hard. I am thinking I should test, but part of me doesn't want to, but we will see. I am not to sure what I am thinking now. AF is supposed to start on Thanksgivining which sucks even more. So I am looking at having a pretty bad Thanksgiving. Anyhow if this month doesn't work< I am going to start charting, along iwth using some OPK's.

Jen - do a search online for drugs at FDA. It will bring you to the FDA website. Search by the name and it will bring it up. click on label information and You can look at the last approved drug label. Look under contraindications for information.
Thanks Mel.
It's all confusing medical speak..hehe... but I see no glaring warnings. I told DH to call his MD today... let's see if he can actually do it (what is it with men and doctors??)
Ugh. I spoke too soon... this doesn't look good:

dancn226 ~ You won't be the only one left, I'm still here!
looty ~ I hope the brown spotting is implantation spotting.
loving624 ~ woo hoo on the +OPK, can't wait till I get my +OPK, right now they have been -'s. Good luck with the BDing marathon, I hope you can keep it up.
jen ~ I'd have your DH talk to his doctor. I'll be looking up the medications my DH is on, I bet one of them will be affecting his swimmers.
Me ~ CD13 and -OPK this morning. We DTD on Saturday and I wanted to yesterday and I told him on Saturday we'll be DTD tomorrow, well it didn't sink in because when I said something he was like we just did it yesterday. So later in the evening, I said are we going to do it or not? He asked his he could have a pass until tomorrow so I said fine and just so you know it's not going to be a quickie like it has the been the last few times, I want some attention. :p he was like Ok fine you'll get some attention and I said you better not change your mind tomorrow or else I'll be really pissed off. This coming from someone who only wanted to SWH this month.

I'm so pissed. Everything "official" from the Lipitor people say there is no conclusive evidence that it effects sperm. But hello... just reading what people have actually experienced is horrible. I want DH to get a SA NOW. This is going to be a PITA getting him to call his doctor and getting this test done. It takes him months just to make an appt for his annual physical! And he's not going to take this seriously, I just know it. ARGHHHHHHHHH!

I'm CD 16 today and still didn't O over the weekend, so I'll be checking w/ DH and probably DTD today. My temp dropped this morning from Friday's temp (I didn't temp over the weekend since I slept in both days), so I know I haven't O'd yet. dancn226~ Well, I've been nauseous on and off (throughout the entire day... it comes in waves). But, I'm walking around with a giant smile on my face. In fact, DH said, "Oh, you must be feeling better." Because I suppose I looked just dandy. But, I answered, "No, I feel like crap but I don't mind one bit!" ;) The funny thing is that I always get tender bbs as a pms symptom and my bbs aren't the least bit tender. Not at all. I get weird "zinging" pains here and there but that's it.
I'm really pulling for you gals. I plan to check back regularly to watch for some more bfp's!
OK... DH did call his MD! But of course he's not in on Monday... one of the nurses said it shouldn't affect him, but they will have the doctor call him tomorrow. I told DH he needs to tell him he wants a SA and that we've been trying for 7 months... even though it's only been 3 he doesn't have to know that! ;)
Now I'm forcing myself to just calm down about this and go with the flow.....
Thanks for listening to me freak out!

Hello everyone! I'm hopelessly behind in s/o's so I'm not even going to try. I'm feeling kind of icky this morning and I couldn't sleep worth a darn last night so I think the FPS have started. I got completely wasted on Friday night by accident and have been feeling totally guilty ever since. It was a darn margarita recipe that tastes like juice, it completly faked me out and then hit me all at once :( . Even though I know it doesn't really affect anything, I still feel crappy about it.

11-21-2006, 05:46 AM
so AF showed, thank god. So I'm on CD 4 with a light-med flow. this is super weird. no cramping, totally manageable flow. I should be thankful.....but it just makes me think even more that i'm not Oing at all. My DRs appt is for Jan 9th!!!! They couldn't get me in before. So i'm gonna call some other drs today and see if i can find another that can get me in sooner. I need to know whats going on so we can start BDing and get pregnant already!!!
On another note, just to add more to my platter of stress....FIL called yesterday. He said that they had to do numerous biopsies of his colon and prostate and they think he has cancer. DH was a wreck all night. He hasn't gotten any results back yet, so I told him he's not allowed to use the word cancer until he does....but we're still worried. And think now, more than ever DH wants this baby to give FIL a grandchild before it's too late. I know that is so morbid and for some reason (i know why) it's making me uncomfortable about TTC. SIGH.....

Quick checkin. CD 45, 15 DPO. I went ahead and took a PG test because I figured it might be a good fact to know before heading off to the RE later today and it was a BFN. Just wish AF would show up already. My temp went above my coverline today but that might have been because I put another comforter on the bed and turned our fan off, who knows!

repeat from charting:
Me ~ CD14 and -OPK, I can't wait to see that positive. According to FF, my O can now occur anywhere between CD14 - CD22. We tried BDing last night and we accomplished the first part but DH couldn't finish the last part. :o His back was bothering him so I think that was taking a toll on him. He asked earlier in the evening if it was Baby Making time and I said yes and that I wasn't trying to be as obsessed with it but it is that time so we will need to have a quickie before we got you mama's house on Wednesday. So now I am wondering if I don't get that +OPK should I even bother?

Hi eveyrone, I am in a good mood today, only 1/2 more of work for me, then I am off. So excited!! Anyhow just wanted to update you on the deal I am on CD 30 13 dpo. Part of me is continplating testing but the other part of me, doesn't want a BFN.....I really really hope AF doesn't show. If she does, it wioll be on Thanksgiving to which will sucks.
Sammy~Sorry about the BFN, hope something will happen for you

DelSol - I wouldn't put too much stock in OPK's. I tried them during my 4th cycle TTC after Rebekah, finally got a positive and it didn't mean anything really, we BD'ed that week before the positive and when I got the positive and I didn't get pregnant. It was cycle 7 when I didn't get a positive at all that I got pregnant. My doctor had me try OPK's before I got pregnant ever and never got a positive, than there were times when I couldn't tell if I got a positive or not. OPK's are a pain in the butt to try and read.
Charliezangel - sorry to hear about FIL, hope it comes back clear and not cancerous.

DelSol - I finally got my +OPK on CD16. We BD all around it though, the week before, and we are keeping at it this week so that we can be sure. I wasn't sure about the OPK's until I saw exactly what a positive should look like and there was no denying it.
Charlez- sorry to hear about FIL. I hope that they are wrong and it's not the c word.
Me - CD18, 1DPO, I think. Man I want so bad to take a test. Haha. Yeah right. I wish someoen could make a test that told you if you are pregnant sooner.
TP Staring is starting early this month... I'm CD18, @ 4DPO and have had AF like cramping yesterday and today.... implantation?? too early? what I would do for some spotting right about now! We really worked hard this month! :)

I started my OPKs too early this month, that was my problem. But this was my first month of using it and it was very accurate when it finally was time to O. I have heard that you should go to Target or Walgreens and try the ones with the smiley faces on them, apparently they arent as confusing

Looty - I'm sorry about AF :( . Doesn't that hag know when she's not wanted?
Melandtim - Yay for progress! You'll be Oing before you know it :)
Charliez - I'm so glad you finally got AF! How scary about FIL though. Hopefully if he has cancer it won't be advanced. My uncle had prostate cancer about 7 years ago and he's totally fine now.
Sam - Sorry about the BFN!
Delsol - Thanks, and sorry about DH's back problems. I think as long as you have fertile CM then you should try to BD because it's so easy to miss the LH surge on those OPK's.
Dancn - I can't believe you haven't tested yet. My willpower doesn't last much past 11DPO.
Loving - LOL about wanting to test at 1DPO, wouldn't it be nice?
Jen - 4DPO might be a little early for implantation but you never know ;)
---------
Me - 8DPO here and I have a nice little dip in my temp (still above the coverline of course). I also noticed a tight, like a ball in my uterus feeling last night as I was trying to go to sleep. Totally irrationale I'm sure but it felt different. So, in the spirit of being positive, I'm saying that my little dip in temp is implantation and I should be getting my BFP this weekend sometime ;)

Charliez, sorry about your FIL. I can understand why it's important to your DH to have a child while FIL is still around. Just don't let it stress you out even more. We can only do so much, you know? I personally will always regret that my child never met my brother who was such a huge part of my life. But I can't do more than regret!!
Dancn, good luck.
Sammy, good luck.
Me: I'm on CD11 and I'm hoping to start BDing tonight. actually, I was hoping to start Sunday but my husband didn't obey! The real problem is that since I haven't temped or anything yet, I have no idea when I might O. Especially since my last cycle was technically 62 days or something. So I'm hoping to just give it a shot as much as we can handle it and hope we get lucky!

Girls I have a question. I am CD 10 and I have a question. I just went pee and was going to startring at my TP when I notcies some spotting. Not lots but for real some light spotting. what on earth could this be???? I am CD 10. This is not making any sense to me. Lat month was my first month off BCP and now this is my second month off but I have NEVER had any type of spotting what so ever. Also, I just had what started off as a light period but ended up being a VERY heavy period. Is my body going nuts or what!!

Recap of my RE visit:
Met with the doctor and went over all of my history. He kept looking at my hair. My hair is naturally thin. All the women on my mom's side of the family have thin hair. But over the last year or so my hair has gotten progressively thinner towards the front. He had said that this could very well be because of PCOS. He did an internal exam to feel my ovaries and he said they didn't feel enlarged, which is good. He also checked for skin tags which I don't have any. He said that I might be a great candidate for metformin but before we can move forward we've got to step back and get a proper diagnosis by running several tests.
If I don't get AF by Tuesday I have an appointment to go in for bloodwork and an ultrasound. Depending on what comes back the doc may start me on provera to enduce AF. On CD 1 I call them to schedule my CD3 bloodwork. He said it could take 2 hours, sounds like they want to do a glucose tolerance test. I have to get that all done between CD 3-6. Next step is a Saline Hystogram where they will inject saline into my cervix and I believe they will be looking for polyps. After that I'll be getting a endometrial biopsy sometime around CD 22-26 to check my lining. DH also has to do a SA and I have the "kit" with me. The doc also gave me tons of prenatal vitamins so I don't have to run out and buy any right now. He wants me to try out 4 different kinds and pick which one I want.
That's it. So overall very productive, and the staff was super nice and the doc appreciated all the homework I did ahead of time!

Hew?B: I hope that you get your BDing going and that you catch that egg.
Sammy: Sounds like a great appointment. That's great that he has some ideas and he has you headed in the right direction. Hopefully in no time you will have you BFP.
Charliez: My FIL just went through prostate cancer and the surgery to remove his prostate. He is now recovering and it looks like the cancer is gone. I know how scary it can be. Please tell your DH that my prayers are with him and his father. If I can do anything, let me know. Also, do you need a reommendation for an OB? I go to Karen Saravanos in Palm Harbor, she also has a clearwater office. She is excellent.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Alright girls... DH heard from his MD who says he can go off his Lipitor. It takes 3 months to get it out of his system, so we'll be back to TTC in 3 months I guess! What a PITA.
Now I gotta find some natural ways of lowering cholesterol!
I wish you all the very very best of luck... I'll be lurking and cheering you on!

CD 46, 16 DPO. Temps still above the coverline (barely though). I had some AF-like cramps before I woke up but now they are gone. I didn't bother testing since I tested yesterday. I figured if AF doesn't show up by tomorrow I'll test again on Turkey Day. It's rather frustrating waiting. If she is going to come ideally I'd like for her to come sometime between tomorrow and Sunday that way I can just keep my Tuesday appointment with the RE for the bloodwork but instead of the bloodwork they wanted to do they'd just do the CD 3 bloodwork and Glucose test.

I was catching up on everything last night and saw your posts about that. I was going to post something about having to get it out of his system. DH was on methotrexate and we were going to start TTC, and he was at a visit and his doc knew we had been married for awhile and asked about kids, and that's when we found out about waiting 3 months. In our case it wasn't that it would affect DH, it was that the doc said that the kid that could result from him being on this stuff was just one that you would rather not concieve. I know that sounds harsh, but this stuff messes with your RNA or something of that nature and its better avoided if you can. Its such a PITA that they don't put it on bottles or at least tell you this stuff and that you have to. Sorry that you had to go through this!
FSUSammy~ Hope you have some luck with this cycle! Glad you got to the RE.
melandtim~ AF stay away so she can have her apt! :)
dancn~ Maybe its too early. I'm so sorry how frustrating it can get. I was in with you on this boat last cycle.

lana~ Hope that is a good sign!

charlie~ Sorry about your FIL. I went through something very similar a few months back when my grandmother passed away in August. In July when she was getting worse, we had just started to TTC again since DH's probs with his meds was done. I so felt the pressure to get a + the first time out since I wanted to be able to tell her I was preg and to have her first great-grandchild. We didn't and I felt guilty for so long about that. I know its a natural feeling, but don't let it weigh you down, especially since its already stressful enough. If you ever need to go off about it, PM me, but I just wanted to let you know its ok to be having this feelings. Praying that everything works out well for your family.
Sorry if I missed anyone, so much happened since I left! Oh, and I forgot who got me mixed up from my last leave, its ok! I was on travel for work, not surgery. :)
Me~ CD14. Thanks for all the help on the chart. I don't know why the one dot is open, all the times were the same. The only one that wasn't at 6:00 was the first few since I was up at 4:30 for a flight and the next day I was waking up at 5:00. I fooled around with FF and dicarded those temps and then brough them back in, but now I have them all in and the O lines went away. I had one day of EWCM and now its just creamy, so not sure if I'm gearing up to O or I misread something. We've been covering our bases with BDing, so if somethign happened, hopefully its good. We're not stopping until its clear whats going on with this cycle.
DH isn't too bad with temping. He realizes that I'm doing it, but doesn't ask too much. :)
Happy thanksgiving ladies!

DelSol hope you are feeling better. DH always does this thing when i have migrains that seems to help. Take your left hand and hold it with your fingers streched out. Now pinch the pressure point between your thumb and forfinger about 1/2 in. DH presses super hard, and that hurts....but as soon as he lets go, my migrain starts to subside.
Lanapoo lol, here's hoping it's natural
looty good luck with tthe clomid. I hope it works for you this cycle!!!!
APhiJill sigh, honestly, i would have gone to the ER. But I know you probably don't want to sit there on the holiday....How much blood did you see (i.e. could you have filled a tampon or pad in 2 hours before or after you saw the clot)??? How big was the clot?? If you are no longer bleeding, I would wait another 2 days and test again on Saturday. If it is still BFP, everything might be ok. I would still go to the dr on monday. I'm prayin for ya girl.....
ME
WELLLLLLLLLLLL......I'm miserable. I never in my wildest dreams though TTC would be like this. I figured we'd just have unprotected sex and there ya go. I grew up in a conservative christian home and I spent the majority of my teen years TERRIFIED that if a guy even touched me, i'd wind up PG. One I lost my virginity and went to college, everytime i had sex i would be freaking out that i could be pregnant....and i used protection everytime.
So going into this, I'm not on the pill, no condoms for A YEAR!!!!! And of course today I have to be subjected by 3 pregnant women (2 of them very pregnant and showing...although I don't even know how far along my cousin is). I went to my parents house last night after work because my sister came into town tuesday night. The first thing she does when i walk in is show me her beautiful pregnant belly. it took everything in me not to cry my eyes out. She looks so fantastic too. She is just glowing.
Sigh, I will be amazed if i make it through this day w/o crying. We're having thanksgiving at 1pm at a restraunt then my cousin is getting married at 4:30 down by the beach. then it's back to my aunt and uncle's house for the reception. Then tomorrow id the baby shower for my sis and aunt, then after the shower we are having a hannukah party since this is the only time my entire family is together. Then Saturday, I'm expected to troll the mall with grandma to do our after thanksgiving shopping. My prayer is that I can have a peacefull thanksgiving dinner with DH on Sunday with no distractions.....wishfull thinking.
Wow, i got kinda longwinded there. I'm off. I hope everyone has a fabulous turkey day.

Thanks for the vibes. I am stunned right now. The only reason I took a test was because yesterday I thought I was having AF and put a tampon in. then today there was no blood on the tampon. So I took a test and said "OH SH*T!"
I am trying to make rhyme or reason of it.
Here is the jist:
Last month I O'd on the CD 22 (we also "got busy")
had CD1 on the 10/27 (CD 35)
Not much going on in the "boot knocking" dept...hell nothing going on
Had O cramps on 11/13...Dh went out of town this past thursday
Got busy on Monday
Had a blood clot yesterday (CD 25...I almost never have my period that early)
Got BFP last night
Can anyone figure this isht out?

Hew - were all 3 tests as dark if not darker than the control line?
APhiJill - I would go to the ER if your really worried instead of having to wait until Monday. Sounds like it could be a miscarriage. Take anithr test tomorrow though, it could still read positive even if you did have a miscarriage. Your doctor will probably want to have a blood test done to check your levels. If you go to the ER they will possibly do a blood test as well, than your level could be checked again by the doctor on Monday. Just a thought. Hope you get an answer soon.

Pride - have fun on the bd fest. Hope you catch the egg.
Charliez - I am so sorry you were sad yesterday. I hope it was a good day regardless.
Me - CD21, 4DPO. Feeling kind of discouraged this morning. Woke up last night with a pain in my right thigh. I always get those pains right before AF. Last month it was about a week before AF came, so naturally I was upset when it happened last night. It's still a bit early, I've got 9 days left before AF, but it made me sad nonetheless. I played with some babies yesterday and was very hopeful, even dreamed last night before those pains that I was pg. BB's were sore and everything. I know it's early and that was a fake symptom, but we were hopeful. Now I'm a bit sad. I know it's early and it even could have been implantation, but I find it odd about the leg pain. If it was just some cramping it would have been okay. But not the leg pain. However, I do still have some cramps in that leg today, there is a *small* chance that it was because I stood a lot yesterday with some high heeled boots on, but I am just worried. I need to prepare myself for AF so I'm not disappointed. This would have been such a good Christmas present tho. We had decided long ago to not tell anyone until 8-12 weeks, but if we got a BFP early December, we would tell at Christmas. So I guess I just need to prepare myself for AF. Sigh...

Hi girls, just dropping in to say that AF still has yet to arrive. So I am late. I really believe that i did o on Wed, because of the fact that on Fri, my CM was dry and Sat and Sun, just pasty.....so that is saying to me that I know i o'd on Wed that being 16dpo. dancn226 ~ good luck! I hope it was too soon when you tested the other day.
I'm working today and I think I'm one of very few people here.
Me ~ CD17 & -OPK. I'm starting worry that I haven't O'd yet. I know the last 2 cycles were messed up and my last cycle I didn't O until CD22 and my LP was 5DPO (which is really short). I just keep thinking something is not right. We haven't BD in a while but we're going to try tonight. Between my migraine on Wednesday and DH's back hurting, BDing just wasn't happening. My CM changes through out the day, this morning I would have said on the creamy/watery side, I went just a little while ago and there's nothing there it definitely isn't watery/EWCM. When I have EWCM, it's there constantly. Maybe I am worrying for nothing and should wait to it gets closer to CD22.

dancn How late are you? You know that you can test as soon as AF is late and it should be accurate. When I used the Clearblue Early Digital, AF was three days late and it popped up with a BFP almost right away. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
APhiJill Okay, I'm really hoping, hoping, hoping that everything is okay with you. I agree with everyone else, I think you should go to the ER. Have you passed anything else? Anymore cramping?? I hope that you aren't having a m/c...I've heard of women who spot and some who even pass clots and go on to have healthy babies, so don't give up yet. Keep us posted!!
charliez I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that. :( Does anyone in your family know that you are TTC? If they don't, they probably aren't even aware of how you are feeling about being around so many pg women. If they are....well...sometimes people just don't think about how these things may affect you. In any case, I'm sorry for you. BTW...just wanted to let you know that I've not had a cigarette, not even one, since I got my BFP. DH is still smoking, but he keeps his cigarettes in the truck so I'm not tempted and has not smoked around me at all since we found out. I would really like him to quit too and am hoping that he will as we move further along into this.
delsol Hope you get some BD'ing in today. Sorry about your migraine. Those really suck.
Sammy It ain't over till the fat lady sings...ummm...till AF shows up!! :p :D In other words, don't give up yet!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Ladies, I feel like I am invading your space here most of the times. So I will limit myself to SO's every now and then and just follow along the rest of the time. Lots and lots of BABYDUST to all of you!!

Just some brown spotting. Extremely minimal. I have never had this before so I am optimistic. No cramps and I feel fine. Took a test this morning (digi) and it still says pregnant :)

CD 48 here. I changed my Ovusoft preferences because with today's temp (below my coverline) it said I was pg. Which I'm not. I didn't bother testing today because honestly I feel like this cycle is anovulatory and that I really haven't O'd yet. I changed the preferences to Temp and CM so it completely took away O and everything. Oh well just wish AF would show up between now and Sunday that way I can keep my appointment with the RE on Tuesday. But its seriously looking like I might have to go on provera to induce AF.

jimmysgirl~ hi, still nice to see you around though.
Me~ CD17 here. After my temp went up to my coverline yesterday I was figuring, "Oh I'm going to O". Then my temp went down a little today and I had the biggest frown on my face. Then I went back through some older charts, and saw that this little dip thing happened evertime right before I O'd. So the next 3 days the temp better be heading up. :o We didn't BD last night but hopefully we'll get some in tonight.

If you are two days late, that means AF was due Wednesday, right? So you weren't late on Tuesday on when you tested. Don't forget that that the pregnancy hormone (HCG??) doubles every day or every other day...something like that. Thats why many women test early, get a BFN, then test again a few days later and get their BFP. Thats why its usually more accurate if you wait till AF is actually late. I'm telling you, test, test, test!!! :D I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. You sound just like me a few weeks ago, BTW. AF was due on Wednesday...I tested Saturday and got my BFP.
I'm fine. My cramping has eased up alot over the past few days which is very comforting to me. Some nausea, sore BBs, exhausted all of the time. My first doctor's appointment is this Monday. I will be 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant then!

Chelsea524 ~ I hear you on the charting, my charts have been wacky lately so I'm getting bummed about it.
me ~ CD19 and I didn't even bother to POAS for the OPK, no O in sight. DH wasn't feeling good yesterday and now my stomach is bothering me, I wonder if we have a virus or if it was something we ate. I just hope I do O soon. I guess me not Oing is working in our favor because of DH's back, him not feeling good and right about now I am not in the mood to BD.
I guess I am just feeling down about the whole TTC thing and my cycles seem to be off so I am just hoping nothing is wrong. I can't wait to get my blood work results back so I can see the numbers myself and see where I fall.

Another faint positive this morning. DH saw it too. If he could see it without his glasses on then I guess it really is a BFP! Logically we both know what that means but why is it so hard to believe when it's happening to you? So we'll be testing again tomorrow to see if it gets darker :p

CD27 for me. AF usually arrives around CD 28 but no temp dip yet. I am so hoping she stays away till Wed. so I can keep my appointment tomorrow. I really want to get started on Clomid next cycle. No time for s/o's.
Congrats to any BFPs and sorry to anyone that got a visit from AF.
CD 51 here. My temps have been all over the place. Still having AF-like cramps on and off. They aren't horrible thankfully. I started taking prenatal vitamins last week and I've noticed that I'm feeling a bit nauseaous. I guess some can do that to you. I have my RE appointment tomorrow where they'll do a PG test (even though I KNOW it will be a BFN) and do an ultrasound I think and more than likely I'll get a prescription for provera to start AF. It's been a rough weekend. My mom is back in the hospital. She was having massive lower back pains and it was causing her to not be able to breathe and they took her blood and checked the INR (?) which tells them how thin the blood is and with the thinners she is taking the level should be around 2-2.5 and it was at 9.5 so they admitted her immediately. I spent most of the day there yesterday and she was in sooooo much pain and had to take something stronger than morphine. I'm going to look into whether I can use FMLA to be with her. My aunt who was taking care of her while she was in the hospital last time left to Beirut yesterday so my mom is all alone at the hospital.
That's it for me.

Hello All. Huge Congrats to the BFP's and hugs to those who got AF. I hope that you all had a happy turkey day.
As for me. I have NO CLUE what is going on with my body. I told you all that I started spotting last Tuesday which was CD10. I kept spotting Wednesday and Thursday but then it turned into full on bleeding. It was like that until yesterday afternoon. Now it seems to have stopped and today I had a mojor drop in temp. The weirdness is all the bleeding and the fat that I had +OPT on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We were good at getting our BDing in on those days. My temps did not seem like I was ovulating though and then with a huge temp drop today, it seems like maybe I ovulated yesterday. I have no idea but all the bleeding was for sure very strange. It was more bleeding that I have with my periods, but I did not have cramping of any kind. I am at a loss. Not upset or anything like that. Just confused. We shall see. I am trying to be patient since this is only my second month off BCP. Time will tell.

So we have Stevesbabygirl and Lanapoo to congratulate? And APhiJill probably too? What a great weekend of BFPs.
I'm sure I'll be around another month. We only BD'd once this month and since I am not temping and not using OPK's, I really feel like it's a crapshoot. And while I'm feeling like that's my fault because I'm not being more proactive about determining when I O, I also feel like what's the point if I can't even convince my husband to BD more than once. We'll see......

Thanks so much everyone! I'm really getting excited. Another BFP this morning. It seems weird though because I'm not even late for my period yet. I didn't temp this morning because I couldn't sleep worth a darn last night and the temp would have been really inaccurate. I couldn't turn my mind off at all. I think I'll get a digital today to confirm and then make appointments with my doctors tomorrow to get checked out since I have a thyroid condition that needs to be watched closely.
Sunshine - Yay! I get to be a mommy too!!! Thanks for popping in :D

I just got back from the doc
I had to take a urine test and it came back a BFP (Big Fat Positive). They told me it would take 20 minutes to get the result and it came back in less than 5. Then they gave me a blood test and I will get the results tomorrow afternoon or so (dammit I want to know now!) they have to send the test down to modesto--30 minutes away. Hell I gotta go there today. i coulda driven the sh*t down there :)

Looty~I am feeling your pain right now. I am just so angry with how long this is taking. I really am. I have been doing some thinking about it hough, and it has come to my realization that with the place i work, i have been under some serious amount of stress with dumb people, gettin laid off in June, and all that fun stuff. I think I need to relax and let it go. SO that is what i am blaming my issues on.

Hey ladies. No time for s/o's today. Just got to work from my RE appointment. Got there for my 7:30 appt for bloodwork and an u/s. The u/s was VERY cool. They had a screen up on the wall so that I could see what the tech was seeing and she showed me my endometrial lining and said that it was a tad thick because I haven't had AF since 10/8. She took measurements and then went hunting for the ole ovaries. She immediately said, you know you have polycystic ovaries right, and I said YUP. And then all of a sudden you see an ovary with TONS of what looked like pretty big cysts. Absolutely amazing. She went to the other ovary and there were some there too. They looked for a corpus luteum and didn't find one. The doc even came in and took a look. He then explained that he's going to give me provera and that he is actually expecting that for my CD 3 bloodwork it will more than likely show an increase in LH. But he's pretty sure metformin will work for me. Of course he won't prescribe until he's done with all of my tests. So I'll fill my script tonight and he told me that if I don't hear from them by tomorrow to start provera tomorrow.

Just wanted to say I am glad that you are starting to have a plan. I am sure that must feel so much better. Fingers crossed that all of this will bring along a BFP very soon.

Sam, glad you had a good appointment.
PhiJill, congratulations for real. I understand being nervous but you're being awfully cautious. I hear false positives are rare and you have had a lot of positives!
Me: I realized yesterday after posting that I was being stupid and I should just talk to DH about what I was feeling. So I asked him last night at dinner how hard he wanted to try to have a baby and explained that I could be doing more but felt it was silly. He said he did want to try, he was sorry he hadn't been in the mood to BD and insisted it was a phase and then said, "but if you get pregnant now, you'll be really pregnant in the summer". And true, I don't want that. But I'd rather be hot and miserable because I'm pregnant than just hot and miserable? So we'll see. I'm guessing the likelihood of a BFP by Christmas isn't good. On the other hand, after last month's ups and downs, I think I'd just be happy to have a normal length cycle and some regular BDing!
Delsol, I can't believe that CM made you miss the dentist!!! That made me chuckle!

DelSol - that had me giggling here. That was great. No dentist for you today. Haha
FSUSammy - I am so glad that you have a plan now. That's great. Hopefully this will help you get your BFP.
Pride - all I want for Christmas is a BFP too. Hey that sounds like that song all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth. I think we should market that. All I want for Christmas is a BFP, a BFP. haha
Me - 8DPO. These days I am getting OPPOSITE symptoms. Tired? Not me. In fact, I lay in bed at night and cannot get to sleep. And it's not even bc I am thinking about this cycle, I just can't sleep. And I cant stay asleep for anything. I have headaches. Cramping comes and goes, it's not AF cramping yet though, but I do have 6 days left. I have some queasy, but its more like a catch in my throat that makes it hard to swallow, which makes my stomach a bit upset. Weird I know. I think that for the next 6 days I will be posting close to the same thing, so I will try not to bore you all too often with the details! Hopefully AF will stay away, I want to tell our parents at Christmas!!!

So much for the stress level. I just found out otday that they will be annoucing layoffs Dec 1st. Which of course if Friday. Well, since my position is grant funded, It won't affect me. B ut a lot of my friends. Which sucks. Anyhow, to add to stress, my damn wisdom tooth is killing me. I was at my dentists office like 2 months ago, and she said they didn't need to be pulled, but now its killing me. So she referred me an oral sugeron. So I will be meeting with him on Friday......ahaha...so much for no stress!!!!

I haven't posted in a really long time but I've been following along. I wanted to send a big giant CONGRATS to all of the new soon to be Mommies!:)
Me-DH stopped by my work and surprised me with taking me out for lunch today, he is so sweet. We started talking about when I get to test to see if we are pg. I started to tell him how scared I was to get a BFN but that these last few days before AF is due is really brutal since we live RIGHT NEXT DOOR to a phamacy and all I want to do is test! He seemed a bit concerned that I was so nervous and negative. He asked me why I wasn't excited like he was... and that if we aren't pg that then we get to have another fun filled month of trying again, and that is VERY exciting for him. I felt bad for bringing him down with all of my worrying. He is right I should be more excited and worring isn't going to help at all. I explained to him that it's all fun for him but for me I'm so scared to see BFN and the thought of another m/c is terrifying. I think he understood and it also helped to be around him with all his optimism and smiles. I'm a lucky girl and I should remember that more often.

Hello all!
Pride - Yay for EW! If you still have it you should continue to BD just in case.
Doco - How exciting to be going to Ireland and meeting a new nephew!
Mel - I hope you get your clomid!
Sam - Sounds like you had a good appointment and that you're on your way to a BFP!
Jenn - I'm glad you had a nice talk with your DH.
Delsol - I hope you O soon.
Loving - I hope this is it for you!
Dancn - I'm sorry about the stress in your life and your tooth. I hope you can get it taken out soon.
Me - I finally took a digital test this morning and now DH believes me that I really am pg  Apparently all it took was seeing the actual word.

Jenn (and Bill): I so feel your pain on the man in your life and trying to communicate and be on the same page about TTC. My Dh and I have had some trouble in that area. I am a very motivated person and when I get my mind set on something, I go full force. Not because I am stressed or desperate but because that is just my nature. DH says he wants to TTC but when I chart he thinks I am being "desperate" and he does not like that. Also, I think he feels sort of funny when I tell him I am ovulating and we need to do it right away to catch the egg. That really seems to be a downer for him so in the future, I am not going to tell him I am ovulating, I am just going to get him to BD. I think he will feel less stress that way. Good luck to you and know that others are going through the same thing. Boys can be so strange!!

Lanapoo - that is awesome. I can only imagine how much elation you feel when you actually get to see the word "pregnant" and to NOT have the "not" in front of it. That is so great!!!!!!!! You will be an August mommy, right?
Lanapoo

BerBer - Your DH sounds so sweet!
Loving - yes, August 6th I guess. I'm hoping a new August mommy thread will pop up soon. I can't even put an avatar next to my name much less actually be threadmistress so I'm just waiting on someone creative to put up the thread :p

UGH!!! No provera for me just yet. RE just called and apparently my Estradiol and LH levels are on the high side so they think that I might be Oing soon so they want me to hold off on the provera. They want me in on Friday to repeat the test to see what my body is planning on doing. I couldn't ask the office when they called if its a good idea to try to catch the egg (if there is one) and of course now that I called its closed so I'll have to call them in the a.m.

Yay Jill!!! I agree with Berber send some extra baby dust to the rest of us!!
berber - that is so sweet of your DH. I can totally understand why you are apprehensive. Good Luck!
Sam - yay for getting ready to O!
CD29 for me! Hello AF where are you? My cycle is usually 28 days or less. Since I didn't O nor did we really try this month I seriously doubt I am pg. Plus my doctor said my uterus felt like it does when its gearing up for AF. But if its not here in a couple days I will POAS. Right now I am trying to resist! Don't want to see that BFN!
I had a great doctor's appointment yesterday. I really liked this doctor. Now I have met 2 of the 3 in the practice and they are both wonderful. So I will be starting Clomid this cycle, 50mg days 5-9. She said she thinks this will work. We will try it for 3 cycles going up in dosage each time as long as I am not developing cysts. If it doesn't work then its off to the infertility clinic for us for IUI. Apparently my chances for having twins is quite high with the Clomid since twins run in both sides of my family. :p

Congrats Jill
Me - CD 53. Didn't get a chance to BD last night because I was exhausted from my super LONG day. I plan on calling the RE this morning to ask about if we should even try to catch the egg this cycle. Part of me doesn't want to just so I can I get that CD3 bloodwork done. I've been SUPER bloated lately. I'm retaining a lot of water for some reason.

Sammy ~ I hope you get a chance to BD tonight.
It's hard to believe we are at the end of November.

Jill - YEAH!! So glad I get to FORMALLY congratulate you!!!! :) CONGRATS
Jenn - I am sorry you are down. I kind of am too.
DelSol - I'd still try to get some BD in. Just in case :)
BerBer - I agree, we all need some BABY DUST!!!!
Me - 9DPO. Having some ups and downs. I am having some pain on either side of where I normally get cramps, below my belly. I think a good word to use to describe it is referred pain. But, then some other times throughout the day yesterday and a bit this morning, I feel like I have cramps all over. I dont know. When I am thinking about it is when I can really feel it. I just am too stressed about it. I did have a good cry last night to DH, that made me feel better. It hasnt been that long but it is sooo disappointing when it doesnt work. And its hard to just get a good attitude every month. No, my IDEAL would not be to have a baby in August, but I am in the South. It's hot a LOT here. Best thing I could do is have the baby in November or something. But I dont want to wait until February to get pregnant. It just is hard. I didnt realize how hard. And I am so sick of hearing that I need to chill out and stop stressing. I want to know how that is done.

Jenn and loving - sounds like a lot of us are down right now :( Maybe its the holidays combined with the TTC stress. I have been so weepy the last few days over the slightest thing. And I will admit that while I am thrilled for everyone who has gotten a BFP its hard to not be one of them. I am hoping Santa is going to be very good to us all!

So - what does everyone think of the tests that say they can give you results 4 days sooner? I have the "answer" brand at home, it's like a cheaper walmart brand. I am sure this has been discussed and I am sorry if it has, I just wanted everyones opinions. Tomorrow is my day 10, and I do have a 14 day LP. So if it worked it has I think like an 85% chance. I know false negatives do come, so I want someone to convince me either to test or not to :)
I just read this on FF - pooh. I havent been doing FF but I bet theyd tell me to wait till Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday even. Poot.
"What is the earliest I can take a pregnancy test?
Some women can get positive results as early as 10 or 11 days past ovulation, but this is very rare. We do not recommend testing this early as it usually causes great disappointment and confusion and wastes tests. Most results will be negative this early, whether or not you are pregnant. We recommend waiting until the test date proposed by Fertility Friend. This date is based on your own cycle statistics and our research on pregnancy charts."
FSUSammy
11-29-2006, 10:16 AM
loving - I'd test only if you can mentally handle a BFN. If you aren't ready for it wait. Nothing is worse than seeing those. If your normal LP is 14 days I honestly wouldn't start testing until at least 12 DPO at the earliest.

You and I must be sisters. ;) FF was telling me the same thing until today when I put today's temp in, which was a little higher (so 2 more and FF will mark crosshairs). Then it went back to saying I was fertile.

My body is all over the place too and Fertility Friend just has no idea what to do with my temps. I think that I may not have ovulated at all this month. I had some + OPKs but my Dr said that they could be wrong because my body is just being crazy because I just came off the pill. Who the heck knows. For sure not me!! I had crazy bleeding for 6 days. Lots more than during my period and lots longer too. My temps were pretty low during the entire 6 days of bleeding but then my temp went really low and is now going back up. Maybe I ovulated on Sunday. If so, we missed the egg. We were BDing like crazy earlier in the week because of the +opks but with all that bleeing, we were not so into it by Sunday. I did get another +OPK yesterday and today Fertility Friend says I am fertile so maybe we will BD tonight. It would be for the fun of it though because given how nutty my body has been, I don't think this is going to be my month. That is ok with me. I just wnat to figure out what my body is doing.
