Emily, this may sound crazy but I think we were at the dog park together yesterday. (Unofficial get together! ;) ) I was there with my Pug and with my friend ( a guy). I recognized your husband and I'm pretty sure it was you!

Anyway, I'm pretty flexible and would be open to a GTG.

OMG, did you have another dog with you??? What I remember was a pug and a blck and white dog that my little dog was chasing. Did your friend try to throw a stick to his dog and end up throwing it in the tree?? LOL, that's what i remember.

hahaha, I saw him do it and I started laughing so hard. Then, he was trying to get it out of the tree with the other stick....

We go to that park everyday at about 5 pm (except monday's since i work night shift on monday and have to be at work at 4:30. we go about 2 on those days). Actually, when I say we, I mean me and oreo (the puppy). DH goes with me on the weekend because it's dark by the time he gets off work. Maybe we can make plans tp meet there sometime!!!

awww, thank you. She's my little baby. She's licking my hand as we speak because she wants me to run around with her (i'm supposed to be working). your pug is a cutie. I love pugs, lol. Well, we'll probably see each other there again. we go on the weekends together. And i'll be there around 5pm tues-thurs, so if you happen to be there, we'll hang out!!!

ok, so i have been in detroit on business since tuesday. I came home last night and we are packing up our house to move today. My landlord has lost her damn mind and we are just getting the hell out. SOOOO, I don't think I'm going to be able to make a sunday GTG.

Hey Ladies,
I'm going to be in your area Feb 5-8 with DH's work. I need some clothes help - what's the weather going to be like?
We are going on a dinner cruise on the star ship (http://www.yachtstarship.com/), eating in Plant City another night, and I'm not sure about the other 2. How fancy should I dress for the cruise and Plant City?

We have had unseasonably warm weather here this "winter." Yesterday, it was 80 degrees. Today it is 70, which is the coolest it's been in a while. I'd check the forecasts 5-7 days before you come and see what it says. If we're having a cold front, the highs could be anywhere from 70-60. If not, it could be 70+ degrees during the day.

There really is not a lot of dressing up here. Floridians are very laid back and it is rare I actually have to "dress up." Dressing up usually consists of not wearing flip flops or a tank top. I'm not sure exactly where you are eating in Plant City, but that is a rather rural area and you probably don't have to wear anything nicer than you would wear to work or to any other dinner out. Skirts, dresses, dress pants and sandals are acceptable at most places. The same would go for the Star Ship Cruise.

Hope this helps. I wouldn't stress out about it too much. It is hard to feel underdressed here!

Thanks Meg, I'm stressing cause I can't fit into much of anything at the moment, and we're going to be with DH's work, at the corporate office, which is HUGE for him to even be invited. I just want to make him look good ;)

Do you know where in Plant City? Like Meg wrote, it is definitely a rural area. The only thing I really know of out there is an Outback Steakhouse and some family owned places. The Strawberry Festival will be going on then too (we'll be in Plant City the 7th to see Little Richard LOL.) I'd say to bring light and airy things with a light jacket. And for eating out with your DH and people from work, I'd say wear some slacks and a nice blouse, but nothing fancy.
