At the request of another poster in the "What are you wearing for Halloween thread?" I'm starting this one so we can see what everyone looked like dressed up for Halloween! I know some of you have multiple parties/plans so post away even if you wear/wore the same thing!

Gosh, HeatherFL... how cute are you? :) Great costumes!
LDS Angel 19, LOVE the costumes!
I wish we had a reason to dress up this year. We don't even get any trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood. Maybe we'll throw a Halloween party next year. ;)
HeatherFL
10-28-2006, 08:05 PM
Thanks, PurpleRose It was a charity party and we're always happy to have events to attend for good causes! :) A party next year sounds like a GREAT idea!
Yeah, I've never really gotten too many trick or treaters. We're taking Todd's stepsister's kids trick-or-treating on Tuesday. I got Todd a shirt made that says "This Is My Halloween Costume" and I got one with a little sparkly witch's hat on it. We figured we wanted to get into the spirit, but let the kids have the spotlight! I'll post pics of that too. :) I love Halloween!

They are at the bar right now. I didn't get to go :( I'm not ready to leave DD with a sitter yet (no family near). However helping him squeeze into that outfit was enough fun for me! The best part is they are just going to the old man/biker bar around the corner. I wish I was there for the reactions from the "regulars"

I'm not going to a costume party this year, however I did dress up my iguana for our neighborhood PetCo's pet costume contest. Fifi took home 3rd place. :) In a tribute to the late, great Steve Irwin, she was the crocodile from the Crocodile Hunter.
http://www.emmasart.com/emma/albums/Fifihalloween2006/IMG_2453.sized.jpg
I couldn't afford any of the official steve irwin dolls on ebay, so I ended up buying a WWII action figure and cutting off the shirt arms and pant legs and painting the brown hair blond. I think it turned out perfectly. :)

I am so bummed out! We took our camera with us last night and snapped all these great "pictures." Then we went to review and realized we didn't put a memory card in the camera! MAJOR BUMMER! The kids looked great last night, though. Matthew-he's 2 years old was Spiderman and Victoria -she's 12 years old went along and dressed up like a slumber party girl. It was really cute. She had braids, green paint on her face like a face mask, this really cute robe and pajamas and carried a teddy bear. It was well put together.
Here's our "Halloween themed trick or treating attire" LOL taken after the fact.
Todd's t-shirt I had him made and an over shirt in black/orange we got in Spain a couple weeks ago. My tank top with the sparkly witch hat on it:

:D :D :D Thanks! We used Ben Nye green body paint...it was powdery, but we wet it and sprayed him with fixative. The fixative wasn't quite as fix-y as I would have liked, however, because after working his way through some of said alcohol, he decided to sit on our WHITE couch and socialize... Augh.
And yes, it took us a few days to get all the green out of his ears and various bits. I've already told him next year he's going as something simple and uncomplicated!

I have a funny story about a costume but no picture. There was a little girl at the door and our friend was over grabbing something so he answered the door and was talking to the kids.
He says "Oh wow, what a cool princess costume, and I like your darth vadar. And are you a ghost?"
She says "No, I am a gothic enchantress." She was about 5! How on earth did she come up with gothic enchantress?
