Quick question...what time did your DC go to bed when s/he was this age? My DD rarely makes it up past 6pm, even if she does take a decent afternoon nap.

My DD was (is) the same way. It was a real struggle to keep her up any later than 6. She is now 22 months and she can make it to 7! :) I am a firm believer that they come with an internal clock. It blows me away that some infants go to bed at 9!!

It sure makes doing things at night hard when they go to bed early, but it also makes doing laundry and things much easier!!

DD went to sleep for bedtime between 6:30-7:00pm for the longest time. Just in the last few weeks (she's 2 now) she started going to bed between 8-8:15pm.

What time does your DD wake up in the morning? When DD was going to bed earlier, she always woke up between 5:30-6:30am, even if we let her stay up a little later at night. Now she's sleeping until 7:30 or so (thank goodness!!).

At 7.5 months my DS was going to bed around 7:30-7:45 and actually still is (at almost 11 months).

But I do know of several babies that do hit the sack earlier. As your DD gets older she will probably start pushing her bedtime a little bit later. It will get easier for her to stay awake longer.

HTH!

DS would go to bed about 6:30. He still does at 10.5 months. He wakes up between 6-6:30.

What time does your DD wake up in the morning?

It varies...generally sometime between 5:45 and 6:15, but she can generally be nursed back down in our bed until 7 am (much more reasonable!)

I truly hope she's not just hardwired to be a morning person...if so, boy did she wind up in the wrong household!

7:30 pm, bed time has been around there for months. He wakes up anywhere from before 6 to almost 8.

My DS (just over 7 months old) goes to bed at 6 (meaning I take him upstairs to change him and feed him at 6) and is usually asleep by 6:30

My 8 month old DS is usually in bed by 9PM. YIKES! I have a late night partier on my hands!

9 or 10 pm... but at this age he'd sleep in till 9 as well (with breaks to snack, of course! ;))

He was always quick to drop naps, though -- dropped to two early, dropped to one by 1 year. If he went to sleep at 6 PM he would've thought it was just another nap. Yeah, he's a screwy sleeper. :)

my DD was the same way but i couldn't really complain b/c she also started putting herself to sleep around that age. even today she will ask to go "nigh-nigh" between 6:30 and 7pm. i am back at work now and i really hate it because her early bedtime means we get to spend less awake time together but i will admit that i like having time for me and DH in the evenings. i do look forward to the day where she can stay up until 8pm or so.
