So i just found something out that i am sure most of you probably know, but i can't believe i didn't know this.

A dog should not play around after they have eaten as it could twist their stomachs and they can actually die from it.

I had no idea, i mean i know myself i am not into running around after eating, but i didn't really think about it.

I just thought for people who don't know, or new puppy parents, you may find this interesting.

Don't exercise your dog immediately after eating. Large deep-chested dogs are especially prone to a life-threatening rotation of the stomach if exercised immediately following a meal. Furthermore, many dogs will vomit if engaged in active play after eating. Wait 30-60 minutes after a meal before exercising your dog.

The things i am learninig every day.

the condition is called gastric bloat. This is why 2-3 smaller meals during teh day is preferred to one or two larger meals. Deep chested dogs (labs, weimaraners, etc) are prone to it.

I wouldn' get paranoid about it. They can trot around the house and play. Just don't take them out for strenuos or vigorous activity like going for a jog with you or specific trainign exercises where they run or swim a lot.
