I'm trying to decide between the two diets and I'm not sure which one would be better for me. Is there anyone who has been on either of these and can share some insite? I am the mother of 2 small children and I just don't have time to worry about food so I like the idea of prepackaged food to jump start my diet and new healthier lifestyle. Thanks.

My sil is doing Nutrasystem. She's got a lot to lose, and has been doing this since late April/early May. Last I checked, she'd lost about 50 pounds.

Wow, 50 pounds in less than 6 months. I'd like to lose about 50 pounds total, maybe more. I just don't have the time or energy to think about a diet now, prepare food for myself and then my family, too. Nutrasystem is about $10 a day. From the Jenny Craig website, I can't seem to figure out how much the food will cost.

Yeah, like I said, she had a lot to lose, so once she started this and exercising, well, the weight has been melting off of her.

I'm not sure her exact goal, but I know she wants to lose at least another 50-75.

I just want to lose 8-10 lbs. I was just looking on the Nutrisystem website and it looks like the portions are ridiculously small. Like breakfast is 130 calories, lunch is under 200 calories, dinner is around 300 calories....which is less than 1000 calories a day.

I feel like I have to be missing something...how do people do this without going totally hungry?

From my experience Nutrisystem food isn't nearly as good as Jenny's.
I was on Nutrisystem for 2-3 months and just couldn't get used to the food and the portions were quite small. I was always hungry. I lost maybe 10lbs on it. The diet was 1500 calorie with snacks.
This May I joined Jenny and the food while not the best ever, was sustancially better the Nurtisystem. The portions were a little bigger depending on what you got. The variety of foods is also something that I enjoy. My diet is 1500 calories, 3 meals and 3 snacks per day, plus lots of free stuff (no calories) so I'm never hungry. The cost at first was around $100.00 a week for food but with the rewards program my food totals are now around $60.00 a week. So far I've lost 30lbs..For me this is alot because Its really hard for me to loose weight, and maintain that loss.

Anyways overall I think if you need to loose weight without the thinking part (what can I eat, how many calories is this, etc) then these plans will work for you.
