I was wondering if Kim Raver (Audrey Raines) was coming back since she is on "The Nine". On imdb she is listed in the 6AM-7AM slot, I wonder if she will be in the entire season?

Maybe she'll just make an appearance like Kim did last season.

I found some cast/character info today that's possibly spoilerish:
Powers Boothe has been tapped to play the new vice president on Fox's "24."
<snip>
On "24," from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV, Boothe will play Noah Daniels, the vice president under new U.S. President Wayne Palmer (D.B. Woodside).

I wonder what the situation is going to be. How much time will have passed, where is Jack and how's he doing, how he'll get invloved in the action ('cause he'd better!), all that. I'm avoiding spoilers, though, so if anyone posts spoliers please do so in white. ;)

Also how Jack's dad is going to fit in with the story, and how Chloe is going to save Jack this time.

DH & I are SOOO excited for 24 to begin in a few weeks! :D We watched seasons 1-4 on DVD over the summer, then purchased & zoomed through season 5 as soon as it was released on DVD earlier this month. Just finished the last episode last night so we are READY!
I generally do read spoilers that people post here on CC for the shows I watch, but I might try to avoid them for this next season of 24. Since we watched all of the past seasons after they'd aired on TV, we knew tons of "spoilers" so a lot of the big shocker surprises were not so unexpected for us. :( On the other hand, when someone posts a spoiler in white...how can I resist reading it?!?!? :p

Then when we watched season 3, I missed being able to keep watching :o This is what I'm worried about - we've watched all 5 seasons on DVD so far, so it's going to be REALLY annoying having to wait a whole week in between episodes all of the sudden. :(

Thanks for the link to the trailer, Rosebud. That was awesome!
I must admit, I was a diehard 24 fan until the end of season 3. I didn't like the final scene, and was very unhappy when I heard over the following summer that most of the cast wasn't returning. However, over this past summer I decided to rent season 4 and was immediately drawn back in. I couldn't wait to get my hands on Season 5. DH bought it for me for Christmas and I finished it by Dec 27! TV shows on DVD are a very good thing!

DH and I had our first "date" one night watching 24 during Season 2 and we've been watching it ever since. We can't wait for next Sunday.
We've got 6 days to move DD's bedtime up to before 9 pm - even with the DVR we are geeks and want to be there glued to the tv at 9 (though next week will be all screwed up with the 2 nights of it starting at 8....and then the week after that Prison Break starts again!!!)

OK...seriously? Jack just about made me throw up in my mouth when he bit that guy...
LOL...that was just about as bad as Patrick Swayze ripping out a guy's throat in Roadhouse.
"Jack was right." Duh, Wayne! He's ALWAYS right! David would have called off that air strike, I think.
So Morris is now with CTU? I don't recall if they explained how that happened?
I think Jack will get his groove back--like that Assad guy said (I keep wanting to type Asswad, must be careful :o ) "you'll remember!" It was sad though, when he seemed like he thought he lost his touch.

It made me so nauseous when Jack bit that guy! (and then they went and showed it again before the second episode!
I know Kal Penn's character is a bad guy, but it still makes me so mad that that guy was beating him up.
I kept thinking the neighbour kid was familiar, and then I looked him up and it was like, duh! He was on Will & Grace and Sky High among other things.

01-15-2007, 05:15 AM
Okay, don't bite my head off, Jack fans, but I thought last night's episodes were not that great. A HUGE stretch, even more so than the prvious 5 seasons!
I mean, come on. The US government is going to hand over one of thier own to be tortured and killed without some sort of backup plan or guarantee that the terrorist will indeed give up his pal? And they'll BLOW UP a terrorist's house, in the middle of a nationwide state of panic because of bombs and such? Why wouldn't they send in a huge CIA/SWAT/whatever team to storm the place and make SURE they capture the guy they want? I mean, what if Assad had gone out for milk or something when the house was blwon up? Wouldn't the government make DAMN SURE that a) this was their guy, and b) he was there?
Anyway.
And Jack biting that guy's throat was, um...well, ridiculous.
A question, though. Was Fayed saying the truth, that Jack had done the same things (torture-wise) to his brother? It bothers me that when Jack kills/tortures/maims, we perceive as good/heroic. But when the "bad guys" do it, we think it's horrifying.
Okay, off the soapbox.
I hope the rest of the season gets a bit more...believable?

Man, the neck biting thing was nasty! And I was already close to puking from morning sickness! I didn't need that.
Chimichanga
01-15-2007, 07:24 AM
I think it is true that Jack had done that to his brother. He was one of CTU's top field agents and that included interrogation. I don't think anyone thinks it's "good" when Jack does it (at least I don't). In the last few seasons, he's sort of shown a compasionate side.
I was sad when Jack said he forgot how to do this. He eluded to it in the previews for later as well.
Morris was ticking me off - I want to seriously biyatch slap him. I also felt Chloe's pain when she realized she could have gotten Jack killed for nothing. I was starting to tear up. :o
Sophia
01-15-2007, 08:27 AM
Neck biting: that made me LMAO. I said something like "Woo hoo, just like Ozzy!" :D
Torture/interrogation: I'm sure Jack tortured Fayed's brother. The thing is that when Jack did it he was trying to get info, and Fayed was going to do it just for revenge. Is torture during interrogation ok? No. I really dislike that idea. But torture for revenge is quite a bit worse, IMO.
Realism: I guess I just don't expect the show to be super realistic. That's not why I watch. I watch because it can generally get my pulse going, and it's fun to root for Jack. I notice lots of improbable and/or impossible things, but I choose to ignore them.
kcjaime
01-15-2007, 08:47 AM
I agree with Sophia. I don't watch 24 for its realism, mostly b/c there really isn't any most of the time. :p I watch it for the entertainment factor, the excitement. This show has been on for several years now, and they pretty much had to go over the top to make the show work the first time around, just because of how its set up. And to continue to make it a viable, interesting show for this many seasons, it's going to go above and beyond believable.
Admittedly, DH and I sometimes mock some of the things they do on the show in good humor, but we love the show, anyway. :)
I was grossed out by him biting that guy's neck, though. Yuck. But Jack does what he has to do!
Thought it was pretty good last night, but definitely think tonight will be more action-packed! :D

Arrgh! Where do we know the tall weasely guy with the mustache at CTU from? And thanks, I could not place the kid until now--Will and Grace! David would have without a doubt called off that airstrike.
I am so bummed my favorite Physics prof and kooky lawyer (Peter MacNichol) is the loser presidential assistant. Is Mike completely out of the picture?
So is "Kumar's" dad innocent?
And yeah, since the first season, I haven't watched this show because it's realistic. You have to completely suspend reality to watch this. That's why my dad stopped watching it, but I told him, he doesn't get it, it's entertainment!

Do you mean "Milo"? He's played by Eric Balfour, and according to IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0050156/) this is his first season on 24.
Nope. I clicked on another link (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0050156/filmoseries#tt0285331) in his bio and he was on in 2001 and 2002 as well. The character's name is Milo Pressman.
I had to check the first few minutes of last night's episode to see who everyone's talking about. I'm glad it wasn't deleted yet.

I kept looking at the neighbor kid to see if he was Sean's son on Will and Grace. Some angles I really thought it was him and other angles I thought I was wrong.
Milo was in previous seasons, but I don't really remember him.
The throat thing was really nasty - I had to look away.
It definitely is a lot less real than previous seasons (not that previous seasons were real!) but I loved it. Can't wait for tonight!! I think (this isn't a spoiler) there is supposed to be some big twist tonight - I can't wait!
Not sad to not see Audrey :) Though I would take her over Kim any day.

I freaking L O V E this show. I am so not expecting a realistic show. I watch more for the anxiety and excitement I get from it. It is just an amazing show in my opinion. I get sooo stressed just watching. I love the Milo charachter too, he was also in that Law and Order show last season called Conviction that I loved that suprisingly was not picked up. Can not wait for next week. Jack is sooo pissed and ready to get em. Can not stand the Tom charachter but there always has to be one. I saw the Curtis/Jack and the ending coming. Yah, same here. FH called it about 30 minutes before it happened.
The whole thing with Amed (sp?) really annoyed me. I know this show is not realistic, but c'mon - he's a kid and he's INJURED and no one even tries to go for his gun?! And I can't believe that the father was so intimidated by him that he wouldn't go to the cops instead of delivering that device. Love the show, but that part annoyed me.

I saw that too - Curtis and his facial expressions had me and my cousin and aunt laughing hysterically.
I had a feeling this would be Curtis' last season before the season started. And as soon as curtis expressed angst over Assad from jump, I just knew he was a goner. I'd hoped he'd get more of a real story - but nooooooo. I'm still hurt over it.
And everytime the family that Ahmed took hostage said his name wrong, my family and I screamed, 'It's ahk' med!' at the television. So much more fun watching this show with friends and family.
Still bummed over Curtis though.

LMBO! 24 has never been realistic. Look at all the times Chloe managed to get a perfectly crisp image from a completely low-res and fuzzy image (just one image)... no edge detection algorithm is THAT good.
I love 24 because it's heart pounding and it makes for a fun hour of tv. Much better than anything else out there. Though - what in the world will they do next season for high drama?

The whole thing with Amed (sp?) really annoyed me. I know this show is not realistic, but c'mon - he's a kid and he's INJURED and no one even tries to go for his gun?! And I can't believe that the father was so intimidated by him that he wouldn't go to the cops instead of delivering that device. Love the show, but that part annoyed me.
not to mention Ahmed was hopped up on prescription pain meds!
question can someone remind me what happened to Prez Logan at the end of last season? I can't for the life of me recall how they ended it with him.

President Logan- He was arrested by the Secret Service. His wife turned him in.
I saw the Curtis thing coming, but it was still sad.
I didn't see the end happening.I was pretty shocked.
I know this show is rated 14 but I find myself hoping that small kids aren't watching this season more than other seasons. Its just way too graphic and way too many heavy topics (though I still love it!)
Before the end, knowing there would be something big, there was a period of time I really thought they might off Jack.
He really does look fine in those jeans and that shirt. Looked good on the GG last night too.

Isn't Jack (and everyone else there) pretty much guaranteed getting very sick (if not dead) from the effects of radiation from being that close to the blast? I mean, I don't know how far away they were, but if you could see it in the sky like that, I'd guess they were close enough for fallout.
Sophia

I'm also interested in how they're going to "deal" with the radition fallout. Karen just gave stats on how many would die in the initial blast & fallout, so it'll be especially unrealistic if they just ignore it now. I guess they could all be upwind of it.

We were discussing the radiation fallout, too. I was all "Run inside, Jack!" but then we decided it wouldn't matter if you were that close.
I can't remember if it was this show or another one, but they were talking about radiation getting sucked into the atmosphere, acid rain, death and destruction for all. For decades to come.

It annoyed me too. I mean if I were the mom, I would have pounded his injury making him instinctively grab his leg, yell out in pain, and drop the gun. DUH! :p And why didn't the kid do anything with the knife? Geez!
I was really upset that Jack killed Curtis, and found that completely unnecessary. I mean why didn't he shoot him in the arm or something? Did it really have to be a fatal shot?
I at first thought that the explosion was a dream Jack was having, but really  when I saw it wasn't!
I too was grossed out about Jack biting that guy's neck, and also when Jack got stabbed in the back with that insanely huge needle, and when Assad stabbed that guy in the knee! Yikes this was a pretty violent season premiere!

yeah I think he, under "normal" circumstances would be a goner, but he is "Jack". Remember the season when he went into the room with the nerve gas with a bandana over his mouth/nose and was OK? That's why I try not to focus on the realism aspect of the show, or it would drive me nuts.

I agree with both these points. I'm a mom and if that had been my kid, well, first of all, the drugs I would have been giving Ahmed (AKH-med!!!) would have been Xanax or something else to make him sleepy. THEN, I would have kicked his ass for scaring my baby.
And the whole Curtis thing, dude. I know, I know the show doesn't have to be realistic, but he could have TOTALLY shot Curtis in the arm or leg. Or at least tried. They could have had Curtis move or something and get the bullet in the chest if they wanted to get rid of him (the writers, I mean). But to have Jack shoot to kill? Come on!

I have to repectfully disagree, I think it was realistic, Curtis was holding a gun to Assad's neck/head, the only way to be sure Curtis couldn't kill him was to kill Curtis. If Jack had shot him in the arm/chest/leg or whatever, Curtis may have had time to react and kill Assad. Police and Federal Agents really don't mess around!

Plus plus, he was wearing a flack jacket. The only places to shoot were arms, legs, and head area, and like a pp said, in the arms or legs he could still get a shot off. At least it wasn't the head. But since it's Jack, I still think he could have gone for the hand holding the gun, but then he might have hit Assad.

24 puts Muslims back in terrorist role, stirring protests
CLIFTON, N.J. — Two years ago, Muslim groups protested when the plot of the hit Fox drama 24 cast Islamic terrorists as the villains who launched a stolen nuclear missile in an attack on America.
Now, after a one-year respite during which Russian separatists played the bad guys on the critically acclaimed series, Muslims are back in the evil spotlight. Unlike last time, when agent Jack Bauer saved the day, the terrorists this time have already succeeded in detonating a nuclear bomb in a Los Angeles suburb.
Being portrayed again as the heartless wrongdoers has drawn renewed protests from Muslim groups, including one that had a meeting with Fox executives two years ago over the issue.
"The overwhelming impression you get is fear and hatred for Muslims," said Rabiah Ahmed, a spokeswoman for the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations. She said Thursday she was distressed by this season's premiere. "After watching that show, I was afraid to go to the grocery store because I wasn't sure the person next to me would be able to differentiate between fiction and reality."

Kiefer really needs to cut the drinking out! First the Christmas tree, now his own action figure! But...I must say, I died laughing when I read this, because I was TOTALLY picturing it in my head!! :D
Kiefer Sutherland only has himself to blame for the delay of his 24 action figure - he set fire to the prototype during a drunken night out.
The action man's new figure has been developed by McFarlane Toys and will hit stores later this year (07), but the mini-Jack Bauer should have hit shelves much earlier.
Sutherland explains, "They tried to come out with one a couple of years ago and they had sent me the doll for my approval... We took the doll out for a night to have some fun and we'd had some drinks. We sat it on the corner of the table.
"We started torturing him around 11 o'clock at night, and, by two o'clock in the morning, we had set him on fire in the parking lot.
"We got up the next day and there was just this puddle of wax. His clothes didn't burn, which I thought was pretty cool... and then I got a call the next day saying, 'Did you like the doll?' I said, 'Yeah, it was great.' And they said, 'Well, Ok, good, you gotta send it back to us because that was the prototype... It took that guy a year to make it.'
"I said, 'Well, let me look for it, I think I left it in the trailer.' This went on for about a week and then I had to just kinda come clean. (c) WENN

How much of that does Jack know, I wonder, because it seemed totally out of left field when he smacked the dude and tied him up.
Another question: where's Waleed supposed to be from? At one point, when he relayed that Arabic phrase to his girlfriend (the President's sister) that he overheard those other guys saying, he said to her "I don't know what it means because I don't speak Arabic."

Right before Jack smacked him, he said something to Jack about how the Chinese treated him.
If he hasn't seen Jack since the funeral, how would he know about the Chinese? Because everyone else in the world (except the daughter - Kim?) thought he was still dead, right?

Right, but that was the season before. Last season everyone found out Jack was alive but was captured by the Chinese.
Wasn't Dr. Romano in on the plot to assassinate David Palmer as well? That's really gonna piss Jack off when he finds that out.
I wonder if the writers planned this all along (for him to be Jack's brother), or if this was something they just decided. They had him be Mr. Mystery-Man last season, so they could have made him anyone.
I still don't like Karen. Bill has such pretty eyes, but the two of them bug me.

That's what my husband was saying as well. If it's true, it'd be interesting to know the timeline on that.
Palmer's sister is aggravating me too. It seems that no matter what I've seen that actress in she's always throwing some kind of fit on someone.

Question for you all, do you think they keep killing off the characters (Tony, Michelle, Curtis, David Palmer) because they don't want to have to pay them a lot of $$$$ to stay on the show? I'm guessing as the character gets more popular, they start demanding more $$$$.
I realize it is good for the show to mix up, get rid of the characters but I wonder how they decide and if $$$ is the big factor.

I LOVED last night's show... the Graham thing totally threw me for a loop - can't believe the guy in on the whole logan conspiracy is Jack's BROTHER!
I wonder if this means Jack's dad is up to no good?
And I love Sandra Palmer - I think that she can be annoying when she starts off about rights and such, but being that she's an African American character - if she DIDN'T say something about people possibly losnig rights, I wouldn't believe her character at all - at least they are being honest about this - anyone losing rights is a slippery slope as she said... and considering the history of this country with people's rights (minority people), well, she isn't that far off, lol. I'm glad to see her.
Finally, a strong black woman on the show who isn't psycho or a baddie. I was beginning to wonder.

Well, we've all seen the movie "Twins" (although we might be ashamed to admit it). Maybe they've got something like that going on. ;) Jack got all the hottness, and Graham got shafted (and therefore turned evil....)

I decided to watch parts of last night's episode again. When Jack saw Graham's son, Josh, he definitely gave him a "look". I also suspect that Jack might be his father. Jack also gave Marilyn a look too. They must have had a thing going and his work or something caused her to move on and marry his pathetic brother.

I agree, I didn't see much of a resemblance. I did see him very obviously glare at Jack, so I wonder what he told his son.
The thing that bugs me about Sandra is it seems her only role (so far) is to complain to federal agents who won't do a darn thing about it except get snippy (has she not watched other seasons?;)) or to distract her brother from the nuclear threat. She's not actually doing anything or getting results and it's as if they wrote her in to fill time. Unfortunately, there's a lot of that with a show that's 24 hour eps per season. I hope soon she makes something happen (without bugging her bro too much:)) as she makes excellent points (kind of a counter to Tom, the pres's assistant).
I'll admit I'm annoyed to get character thrown at us this far in to the story, such as Sandra (surely they would have let us know David had a sister way back when) and Jack's bro and father. I know that's unrealistic given the nature of the show, but I'm still annoyed. Like on the Cosby show when Sondra didn't really exist til the 2nd season.

So true - her timing is all off - but she doesn't know she's on 24, lol! She doesn't know she's only got like - what? - 20 hours left!!
I guess I relate to her because I get where she's coming from - it's just that she can't see past her constant vigil and battle to protect human rights for the big picture of protecting human life - she and Tom would be better served moving more towards the middle.
When she was complaining about giving the message from her boyfriend (can't remember his name - but I know the actor) to the FBI and he told her to stop being a lawyer for one minute, I felt that. She was so busy trying to protect abstract 'rights' that she didn't understand how time-sensitive the information would be and that it needed to be acted upon NOT to put someone in jail, but to SAVE people. It was like she just didn't see the difference until he sniped at her.
I think Wayne Palmer would be so much better served if he had her working WITH him and if she SAW what it's really like and the battles that he's facing on a MINUTE-by-MINUTE basis. The best way to use her is right next to her brother... she isn't getting the big picture where she sits - so all she can do is cling to her stance on protecting human rights on principle.
On principle, of course I agree with her - on 24, she's a frustrating plot device, lol - but at least she's a GOOD one - and not crazy.
Like on the Cosby show when Sondra didn't really exist til the 2nd season.

Josh does look similar to Graham but as PPs mentioned Josh looks a lot like Kim Bauer, that's why I suspect Jack might be the father. Plus the look Jack gave Josh was like "crap you look like my daughter!" and then the look he gave Marilyn was "why didn't you tell me we had a son". Peter McNichol is driving DH batty - makes me miss Ally McBeal. I am interested to see where this storyline is going.
Chad and Rob Lowe have much more similar facial features and voice than I ever knew before, but Chad Lowe just doesn't do it for me like Rob did way back in the day pre-Democratic Convention (though he still looks good in his *gasp* 40s).
Now that we got to see the son more last night, he really does look like Kim - at least the eyes. But the timeline didn't seem right for him to be Jack's - the wife (Mrs. General Hospital and Melrose Place herself) seemed to make it sound like Jack disappeared 20 years ago and that's when she moved on the Graem, and the kid is younger than that.

The best part of this episode was Dave Barry's Blog.
Chloe still loves Morris because he did not metabolize his alcohol. (Chloe can tell, just by looking at you, what you have metabolized.)
The Walid-and-Sandra subplot has completely disappeared, which is fine with me. If the writers try to bring it back, I think the other characters should say to them, "Get out of here! You never had anything to do with the plot anyway!"
UPDATE: "We're not cold-blooded murderers." Who WRITES this stuff?
UPDATE: Morris specificed the wrong slot assignment for the SIP adapter! If I had a nickel for every time I did that...
UPDATE: The Morris subplot is getting so repetitive that they have to be setting us up for a shockeroo, right? Like he's a mole? Or he's the one who reinvented the bra?
UPDATE: YES! Chloe is NOT afraid to yank a man off the toilet.

I thought it was a slightly better episode than the last ones have been, but I can't believe that Jack went into another consulate! And the finger chopping? YIKES!

I'm behind, but I just had to say I'm loving Rick Shroeder, Martha and Aaron!! Even though there's not much Jack, I'm perfectly happy tonight with seeing all of them! :)

 Holy crap about Martha!!! TOTALLY wasn't expecting that!! I actually thought she was going to cut herself when she went over to the counter and started chopping up the food! The chick's got some anger in her!!

glad to see a good episode tonight.
not enough Jack for me though. :)

Hating Rick Schroeder. I hope they off him quickly.
Totally saw the stabbing coming--she couldn't have made it any more obvious what with all the kiwi-chopping.
A pretty disappointing episode.
And if they keep raising the stakes every season this way, I predict we'll eventually be at war with other planets.

LOL! And when did Ricky Schroeder age about 20 years?? That boy's looking rough!

I'm so over the VP. I think he was in on trying to off Wayne.
Def not enough Jack!

I know Martha had problems last season, but man, she's totally off her rocker now! Why is Aaron with her again? Geez!
sheartm, I also think that the VP was in on the assassination attempt. Because a corrupt Chad Lowe is not exciting enough for 24. We need a super-high-up-on-the-political-food-chain bad guy! :D

All the time on the ranch definitely has aged Rick Shroeder (though I think I read that he wants to go by Ricky again).
I couldn't quite figure out if Aaron and Martha have a romantic relationship or he's just there as a companion. He seems to have lost a ton of weight(though as DH pointed out, this is really the first time we've seen him out of a suit so he could always have been thin but it was just hidden).
I knew something was coming with all the kiwi cutting, but I wasn't quite expecting that.
Definitely not enough Jack!

i thought the episode was just ok. better than the last 2, but not great.
not enough jack.
so based on the preview for next week, is there yet another mole at CTU? or is there someone in washington that leaked information? i was confused.
i'm liking ricky (yes, he wants to be called ricky again!) schroeder. during some slow spots i kept singing the silver spoons song:) . DH was not happy w/me!

Ok, Ricky and weasel-man (I refuse to learn his name) need to go, quickly. this about sums it up for me, from Dave Barry:
UPDATE: Hi everybody at CTU! Here's a new character you never heard of! He's now in charge of everything!
Martha has taken a new turn in her looniness. It seems she is imagining a relationship with Aaron, and he's really just her keeper. Hmm.
UPDATE: I'm sorry, but you can't just bring in the ex-president and his ex-wife solely so you can spruce up two very dull episodes with one lousy stabbing that really has nothing to do with the plot and wasn't much of a surprise. No, wait, apparently you can.
The VPs on this show aren't very nice. And really, another mole? Come on.

I thought the episode was good, and definitely didn't see Martha stabbing Logan (although DH called it), and I certainly didn't think he'd die.
Not enough Jack for me either. Remember the good old days when he was in just about every scene? *sigh* ;)

I was thinking the same thing and said a few times to DH "Man, he looks old!"

Interesting theory about Martha, but it does seem the more reasonable belief.
I know. If it is another mole, CTU really needs to do something about their hiring process. :p

still not a great episode IMO.
audrey- do we think she's REALLY dead? I could have sworn i read somewhere that she would be back this season for a few episodes?
ricky schroeder- so did he set up nadia? is he the real mole?
the VP- is on my last nerve...argh will someone please step up and stop his ridiculous need to bomb them.
so what happened w/marth and prez logan...they weren't even in it last night?
i find myself making fun of 24 more than i usually do! last nigth when jack was steering the plane/bomb out of SF all i could think was that it looked like he was playing old school Atari:rolleyes:

I think audrey's really dead. Those crash scene photos looked a lot like her.
And I agree about the VP! He just wants to bomb someone, and is looking for an excuse. How did Prez Palmer end up with a VP that nuke-happy?

The VP is a psycho. So sick of him.
I also wondered what happened with Logan - did he die or what?
Chloe cracked me up when she kissed Morris. Couldn't she have said something cute to him when he asked what that was for? :p

I was actually relieved when last night's episode was over. This show's really losing it for me...all of the plot lines are recycled; it seems to have lost its originality. I dunno; maybe I was just in a really cranky mood because of my 103-degree temperature!

Okay, so how did Marilyn know that Jack was talking about Audrey? I mean I know she said she read it in the papers, but c'mon! That was just a little too far-fetched for me.
DH said that he didn't think Audrey was killed, but I think she is.
I agree that the VP is crazy and needs to go. Hopefully Wayne will wake up to stop his psycho ass.

JamBray, of this whole show, that's what seems a little far fetched to you? ;)
I also thought perhaps Audrey is not dead (you never know on this show), but FH think they're setting up the search for Audrey's killers as the plot for Day 7.
The VP is really grinding my nerves. And how come nobody but Karen has any issue with a nuclear war? In Pres. Palmer's cabinet? (Why does this plot line sound familiar? Oh, wait, I know. "If they have weapons of mass destruction, we'll bomb them" "No, sir, they don't seem to have any." "Well, let's bomb them anyway" - *ducking away from flamethrowers* )

you mean the show might actually be somewhere other than LA? No way!

I know! Sure, we haven't seen a whole lot of palmer's politics, but he seems fairly liberal (maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part), and aside from Karen, his whole cabinet AND his VP are totally nuke happy conservatives.

I know, I know, :p but in all the ridiculousness of this season (which I can suspend my disbelief on for most of it) I think this was just my breaking point. She hasn't seen/heard from Jack in what, 20 years, but she somehow knows that Audrey was the woman he was referring to? Seriously? See how it irks me? :p

What? Nothing about last night yet?
How about the fact that we got through an ENTIRE hour without anyone being tortured? Yay! ;)

And the thing is we still have 9 hours, so they are going to go off on some other complete storyline before the end of this season.
