My dog ate Crisco!

So, on Friday morning my dog nabbed a tub of butter-flavored Crisco off the counter and ate half of it before deciding she was done with it. She's had diarrhea ever since. Yesterday evening we found a stool shaped clump of grass so I'm assuming she was trying to help her upset tummy. She's acting normal otherwise, but I haven't really seen her eat today - we free feed and have another dog so it's hard to tell for sure...

Anyway, I feel so bad for her. :( Does anybody know of anything I can do for her to help end the diarrhea or does it just have to resolve on it's own?

I wouldn't interfere with the process- she's just well lubed at the moment. ;)

You can try bland food (chicken and rice) to help the GI tract, but really I would be inclined to just let it take its course if she is otherwise ok. Silly pup!!

wow, I thought Griff was the only dog to eat whatever he thinks might be food (soap, tissues and tampons in the wrapper not included)! My guy got hungry one night while we were out about a week ago and went for a box of SF instant pudding. Crazy pups!

*phew* thanks ladies! I was worried that this would end up with a trip to the vet!

She didn't wake up in the middle of the night needing to go out so I guess that's a good sign!
