I am now thoroughly confused with the other site and threads no longer exist . . . so, we need to start a new thread here . . . (plus I need ideas for a friend who is getting married in August and I will be making her programs!)
Post ones you made, ones you bought, or ones that you are considering!
LET'S SEE THOSE PROGRAMS!! :D

mine is in pdf format right now, so if there's a way to post that, I would! i had our designer do upscale caricature silhouettes of myself, FH, BM, and MOH, with a short description after each one (in case somebody doesn't know each person real well :) )

I made little booklet-style programs that I saw in someone's journal on the WC a couple of years ago. Another WCer emailed me a template for them along with some instructions. I have since passed along the program template to MANY other brides-to-be, & would be happy to forward it to anyone around here who is interested in taking a look at it.
Here are some pictures...
These are some pictures I saw that were my inspiration for this program style:
http://images.snapfish.com/3444887923232%7Ffp45%3Dot%3E2329%3D%3A%3B9%3D493%3 DXROQDF%3E232354%3A697%3B33ot1lsi
http://images.snapfish.com/3444887923232%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D3238%3E9%3C8%3E3%3A2%3E WSNRCG%3D32328%3B9%3B%3B%3B%3A38nu0mrj
And here are mine. I used purple cardstock for the covers & embossed a little bride & groom stamp on the cover, then tied the pages to the cover with ribbon.
This one was actually one of my mock-ups where I just used regular white copy paper inside. For the real programs I used some sparkly soft-white paper instead:
http://images.snapfish.com/3444887923232%7Ffp46%3Dot%3E2329%3D%3A%3B9%3D493%3 DXROQDF%3E23235473%3A8%3B8%3Aot1lsi
Again this is just a mock-up, which is why there is a yellow page # on each page:
http://images.snapfish.com/3444887923232%7Ffp46%3Dot%3E2329%3D%3A%3B9%3D493%3 DXROQDF%3E23235473%3A9689ot1lsi
Here are the finished programs, which I displayed in this purple beeded bowl at the entrance to our ceremony venue:
http://images.snapfish.com/3444887923232%7Ffp64%3Dot%3E2329%3D%3A%3B9%3D493%3 DXROQDF%3E23235%3A8543487ot1lsi
Picture of one of our programs at the wedding (I included one of our e-pics on the first page of the booklet):
http://images.snapfish.com/3444887923232%7Ffp64%3Dot%3E2329%3D%3A%3B9%3D493%3 DXROQDF%3E232366599836%3Aot1lsi
Over on the WC someone else offered to upload this template to her personal website so people could go download it for themselves rather than asking me to email it out to individual people. I'll see if I can track down the link on WC, but in the meantime, feel free to email me (sazoo111@yahoo.com) or PM me here on CC if you want me to send the template to you, as I'm more than happy to share.
ETA - see my post below - I found the link to the website where you can download the template.

Mine were super simple! It was one of the last projects I took on and I just didn't have the energy to do anything more elaborate. I created them in Publisher and took them to Alphagraphics for printing.

I only have the outer cover online. It was made of Canson paper, the color is called "tobacco." I embossed the initials and wheat using embossing gel, 3 stamps (the letters were Anna Griffith and the wheat was a stamp I found on ebay), gold embossing powder, and a heat gun. The pages were held together with a cream colored ribbon. The only thing I didn't like about our programs and would change if I could go back and do it again was that the inner pages were printed on cheap paper so they were thin and you could see the printing on the opposite side. My church copied the pages for free and I was trying to save money. If I did it again I'd do it myself at Kinkos on high quality paper.

I made trifold programs and glued a dried, pressed flower to the front of each one. I was surprised at how easy it was, and they looked great! People really noticed! :) Not a very good picture...

Here is a link to a webpage where you can download the program template that I used for my programs (see my post above in this thread for pics). Momwithabat on the WC was kind enough to upload the template to a website for brides-to-be who want to take a look at it, so here ya go! :D
(NOTE: just to give credit where credit is due, I did not design this template personally...it was sent to me by another WCer a year or so ago when I was planning my wedding. I'm just offering to pass it along to future brides who might want to use it too.)
Sazoo's Program Template & Instructions (http://www.geocities.com/mayberry_lady1/SazooProgram.html)
Oh, one more quick note - apparently the font I used for the headings in my programs (it's called LainieDaySH) is no longer available on www.dafont.com, but I have it on my computer still, so if anyone wants it send me an email or a PM & I'd be happy to email the font file to ya. ;)

here are mine:
here are mine...i actually had help from another wc bride.
its a very simple yet elegant flip style and was a huge hit at our wedding. in fact 2 of my friends that got married after us wanted the same style so i made it for them! the backing is made of sage cardstock and the pages are a cream linen paper (i forget the weight). the ribbon is also sage in organza.

My brother's best friend went to college for graphic arts...I told him to put a little blurb on the back with his email in case he wants business when he's finally done his degree! :)
My avatar is more of his fine work! (kind of not clear b/c of the size it had to be)

hi yanekie,
unfortunately i don't have the template anymore. the program was designed in publisher and i just cut down the size of the paper to fit 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". we finished it off by using a round corner punch (DH actually got blisters doing all of these) and then tying w/ double faced satin ribbon from www.jkmribbonwarehouse.com.
hope that helps!

I'm thinking about doing a cover in vellum with some engagement pictures beneath it because I really like the look

I might do something like the one above, but in a small square shape like this

This one I believe was put together with an eyelet so the pages spread apart.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c256/goddessnike13/Stationery/Program-Lawsgirl.jpg
This one was made out of tri-fold square cardstock if I remember correctly. I don't think I'll have enough money in the budget after the invitations to do this, but it turned out pretty cool!

Do you think 5" x 5" is too small? For my invitations, I bought a bunch of 12" x 12" sheets and cut them to 11" x 7", so I had some left over. I had them cut it to 10" x 10" and plan to fold them in half and put the program on the inside. I think the smallest one I have seen on this page are 5.5" x 5.5" and I just wondered what everyone thought.
What information did everyone include in theirs?

My programs were those little booklet-style ones, which were 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Here's some of the info I put in ours:
*List of ceremony participants & their roles/relationships to us - parents, bridal party, officiant, musician, photographer, etc.
*A list of the elements of the ceremony in the order they happened in
*A "thanks for sharing our special day" message from me & DH (& an invitation to please stay afterwards & enjoy the reception)
*Two poems/readings that were read during the ceremony

I think that 5x5 is too small. Mine will probably be more like 4x5.5. My program is really long though bc I had to do it in two languages and translate the whole mass, plus include all the normal stuff.

I only included wedding party info, reception events timeline, and a thank you from the Bride & Groom.

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c27/poca08/program.jpgWe did fan programs. This was just a rough draft (because our colors were pink and silver and this one has an ivory bow.) As you can see from this pro photo below though the end result had a silver/gray bow.
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c27/poca08/programs.jpg I had a local girl recommended by my florist who has done a lot of work for girls on The Knot do them (which was made even more convenient when I found out she lived right around the corner from me.) I have already recommended her to a few other people 'cuz we were really pleased with her work.

These are our DIY invites. I made them using Microsoft Publisher and found some awesome ribbon at Hobby Lobby for super cheap. I was so pleased with how they turned out!
