Pain in my uterus???? Help

Well, I am on my second month of ttc. And, this is the second month that I am having pounding pains in my uterus. It feels like I have an infection. No burning or anything that would make me say it is an infection though. It just pressure by my ovaries and tender to the touch. Its my ovulation day today. Could it be that painful of a feeling to ovulate? It happened last month on my ovulation days too. :( This did not happen when I was on BCP.

Anyone feel like this when ovulating? How am I supposed to BD with this pain. I couldnt last month cause of the pain and we missed out on those days. :mad:

Its probably ovulation pains, I was on BCP for 9 years and the first 4 months off BCPs I had horrible pains, try ibuprofen it works. Mine got better, still painful but not as bad as the first couple of months

You didnt have the pains before because BCPs stop ovulation.

I would call your doc to make certain, but that sounds like ovulation pain to me. I get it a lot, especially on my right side. It would also make sense that it's related to ovulation since you didn't have this pain when you were on BCPs (when you're not ovulating).

FWIW, I found BD actually helps...maybe it's the endorphins? I've also had good luck with a combo of ibuprofen & exercise.

Thank you, I didnt think about the bcp not making my ovulate (Duh!) :o . I guess we will try to bd tonight and tomorrow and see what happens. I am going to take some ibuprofen and hopefully that will lessen the pain.

i believe it depends on the type of bcp. some pills you actually do ovulate, but your lining is flushed each month, so a fertilized egg cannot implant.

i would contact a dr. about it. my friend has similar pains without bcp and its from cysts.
