Thanks for the welcome ladies, and big congrats to you magrat!! I've been lurking in here for a couple weeks and was keeping everything crossed for you on some big 'ol doubling betas! A very happy and healthy 9 months to you!

Preseed ~ Just to be clear, the purpose of preseed is just lube, right? I read in a FP thread that Fem-Glide works just as nicely and is cheaper. So, another option.
Loud_curly ~ Welcome to 31!
Amuse Bouche ~ I agree with tealynn about your chart. Last month, you did reach above 98 degrees during you LP, but that hasn't happened yet. If you're TTC, I would continue to BD. That said, it is possible to get EWCM after O. Since it's a little different than your usual EWCM, maybe what you're getting is creamy? I get creamy CM for days after O. Something about hormone levels running around in there. In fact, there are very few days when I don't get some kind of CM.
O pains ~ I have never had them. I feel left out.
magrat ~ CONGRATULATIONS on your betas! H&H 9 months! :)
Me ~ CD15, and I'm ready to O now. Of course, this is nothing compared to what the ladies with long cycles experience, but this morning when my temp was still low, I had to tell my body, "O already!" :)

Does anybody else ask a question then answer it? My husband accuses me of this all the time, he just stands there looking at me as I talk to myself.
After doing a little research (and in case anybody else ever experiences this)
"Painful ovulation, when severe, is referred to as mittelschmerz, a German word that means "middle pain." Most women who experience painful ovulation usually report a nagging pain that begins as a sharp twinge and diminishes into a dull ache for the next day or so. But for other women, the pain can be severe enough to be disabling and can even be confused with appendicitis. Mittelschmerz can occur during intercourse or it can be aggravated by intercourse, working out or other physical activity."
And this makes sense because I've been doing a lot of both! ;)

Diane ~ Next cycle? Ha! I never know how long the current cycle will last, so I have to just take it day by day.
mel ~ So the dr doesn't know what's wrong, huh? That's gotta be tough...hopefully they get it figured out soon!
Sammy ~ I get allergy shots too. :) I've been going once a month now for almost two years. Hopefully I'll be done with them soon!
aprilbride ~ Welcome! Cute avatar!
tealynn ~ Re: O pains, what you experienced would seem to fit... Everybody is different, but I've never had them so I'm not much help.
magrat ~ Yay! Hope I can join you soon in the mommy threads!
curly ~ Dang. Stupid AF.
Me - CD24 and my temp went down again today. Still waiting for any sign of fertile CM. Off to update...

Granada, I was off to stalk your chart on the late O thing and there may be problem w/your link. When I click on it, my browser won't open it...it looks like there may be a "chart:%20" before the http://fertilityfriend address...
Maybe someone else can click on if they have a moment...it might just be my computer.
Thanks!
Loud_curly

Tealynn and Granada - I got Granada's chart to open by deleting that chart:%20 gobblegook (sp?) part of the address and just leaving the part that starts with http://.
Amuse - Right after I posted, I remembered the first page of the thread, and found your chart there. Duh!

They didn't say, but I calculate it as June 19th.

Here's the link to my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/97800
Threadmistress ~ Please change it on the first page as needed.
Tealynn ~ It's really not late right now. I'm just getting impatient. I usually O on CD14, but sometimes it does happen on CD15, so I was hoping for a temp jump today. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for (trying) to look. :)

Loudcurly - You're in good company; AF arrived in the night for me, so we're on to the next cycle. Best of luck to you this month! Hopefully we'll be testing at the same time in November.
Regarding this discussion of ovulation pain, I always have it, without fail. I kind of like it because I feel more in control when I know what's going on in there.
Gotta run! bbl
Congrats, magrat! :D

The nurse just called - my levels today were 947, which is more than double, so everything is good! First appointment is November 7th. Go ahead and graduate me, hope I won't see this thread again for a few years anyway :)

Are you having twins or what? These are really high betas!!!:p

I am too lazy to go back and + all the messages, so I will just try to do it the old fashioned way and hope nobody cares.
Welcome (back) Aprilbride!
Congrats on the official graduation, magrat!
Yikes on so many dr's appts, Sammy! I am glad you have a plan for your reflux meds now and don't have to worry about that.
And to whoever asked, yes, preseed is just lube that doesn't kill sperm like most lube does. I have heard of Femglide, but don't know anything about it, so maybe about the same thing??
I am trying to talk to my brother on the phone and we keep losing signal, so I better go for now since it's taking forever to write!

I was just popping in to say hello and congrats to our BFPs. I wasn't planning on doing SOs because i'm barely able to keep up with the first 2 pages, lol....but then I saw this...
Okay, ladies. I know that I'm no longer a member of this thread, but I thought maybe you guys wouldn't mind if I came into vent.
I'm having THE FREAKIN' LONGEST CYCLE EVER!!
Okay, probably not. But it is super, duper uber long. And I'm pissed off. I stopped temping, just to relax, and now my cycles are way worse than they were before. GRRRRRR.
CD 39 came and went. I got my hopes up, because AF hadn't showed, and 40 days is pretty average for me. CD 46 came and went, and I was uber excited because I (only once) had a 47 day cycle last year. CD 47 came and went, and DH begged that I take a pregnancy test. I held him off, because I wanted to wait until the end of CD 47 to see if AF showed. She was a no show!
You can probably imagine that CD 48 and CD 49 brought on constant nagging from DH...."TAKE A DAMN TEST!"
CD 49....took the test. Was sure that it was going to be positive. Well, we were soooo wrong. That thing was white as snow. I cried, DH consoled.
Now, here I am CD freakin' 52. No AF as of right now, and no FPS either. WTF is going on?! I'm so pissed, and frustrated because it seems like nothing ever goes right for us.
I know that cycle length greatly depends on when you ovulate. But for goodness sakes, I haven't done anything differently to make me ovulate later, and it's not like me not to ovulate at all. Maybe this is just one of those freak cycles that I didn't ovulate, like I've been told can happen to anyone.
The thing is though, that I've had that post-ovulation "warm feeling" for about three weeks now. So that makes me think that I did, but I'm not sure.
I've also had some hot flashes, which usually accompanies the 'warm feeling' I get, headaches, and the lack of sore boobs. I'm so damn confused it's not even funny.
Should I go in and get a blood test? Do you think that if I called my doc, and said I'm on CD(freakin') 52 of a normally 40 day cycles, she'd do something? TIA!
MrsJ Take heart dear. I went 79 days. This from the girl who never saw a cycle over 31 days....EVER...since 7th grade when i started. I got off BCP last november. I had perfect 28-30 cycles every month. Then, i get my period mid may...that cycle went 36 days...no biggie. So when this past cycle went past 30, i wasn't too worried. But 79 effin days....Yeah, so now I'm on CD 38 of the new cycle!!!!! Needless to say, i'm going to the dr next week.

ok...so i am WAY to far behind to even try to begin SO's
Congrats to Magrat!!! H&H 9 months to you...and welcome to the newbies!!
I am still waiting for AF to show...I have been having lots of cramping and my bb's are still hurting which is weird b/c thats how I knew I was pg last month...but i know that is not the case this time...its a different feeling but damn it hurts...
anyway...good luck to anyone trying to catch that egg and fingers crossed to all those waiting to test!!

Mel - Wow, I hope everything is okay!
Sondra - Welcome! Hope your stay is short and sweet.
magrat - EEEEE!!!! :D I hope not to see you here for at least a year. I do, however, hope to join you in a mommies thread very soon. :)
Loud curly - Sorry about AF. And your schedule for this month looks difficult, too. Maybe you'll have a slightly delayed O this cycle because of your crazy work schedule, and it will all work out.
I've been feeling kinda crampy all day, but I can never tell if it's mittelschmerz or if I'm making things up in my head because I want to O so badly. My OPK strip was darker today than it has been, though, and the EWCM is back, so I'm hoping that I'm gearing up again to O. We're back to the BD'ing, so I'm hoping that egg drops soon!
FSUSammy
10-13-2006, 07:15 AM
ADSigMel - Yay for the OPKs getting darker and more importantly the EWCM!!!
RP from SWH:
Me - CD 6, tonight will be my last Clomid pill. Woohoo!!! I will start taking mucinex tomorrow to help with CM. The side effects really haven't been that bad, not fun but not bad at all. I had some spotting yesterday and am hoping that I have none today so that I can be free of AF. I have yet to get my package of OPKs, preseed, and HPTs yet. Hopefully that will arrive today or at the latest tomorrow. I figured I'd start OPKs on Monday because they say that with Clomid you should start it 3 days after your last pill.

melandtim ~ sorry the doc doesn't know what is going on. I hope they figure it out soon, get some rest!
magrat ~ best wishes to you!
loud_curly ~ I hope it's something other than AF.
AprilBride2002 ~ Welcome!
Filmgirl ~ sorry about AF
ADSigMel ~ I hope you O soon & catch your egg.
Sammy ~ yea for the last pill, good luck with the OPKs.
Robyn ~ In case I don't get in here tomorrow until last I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday!!!
Me ~ CD23 - 8DPO ~ I had the spotting yesterday, TMI alert there was even a small blood clot last night. I woke up this morning, not much, could be left over from last night, but there was a teeny tiny clot. I'll check later on today. Feel kinda crampy. I can tell from my chart this cycle is weird, my temps are no where near what they are post O.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll be at a wedding tomorrow and it's also DH's birthday but he'll be going home to his mom for his birthday and not attending the wedding with me.
Loud_curly
10-13-2006, 07:31 AM
Mel - I hope this is it for you - have a great weekend;) And yeah, this cycle isn't going to look as great on paper as last month's in terms of BDing, but then again, I'm still here
Sammy - Yay for ending the Clomid! Now let's start gearing up for O.
Polka - Well, if she's going to make an appearance, I hope AF hurries up and gets it over with already
Filmgirl - Yep, right there with you. It's nice to have a cycle buddy!
Delsol - Well, if it's blood clots, then it's not AF, right? So it just may be implantation?!? Hope you have a good weekend, despite your plans apart from DH.
MrsJ, charliezangels, Mel, honeygirl - I really feel for all of you who have these looong cycles. I think I would go crazy waiting that long to O! Hope some medical intervention can speed the process up!
Me, nothing much going on. Definitely AF - I really had no doubt watching the last few days of temps on my chart. At least I now have something to compare to this month. Looked at the next few months of prime BDing time from FF before my VIP subscription expires today. Looks like if we don't catch the egg this cycle, then my next fertile times are Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! Whoo hoo - at least DH and I will be together and not have to juggle ridiculous work schedules!

Loud_curly ~ my December days are on Christmas also, too funny, but it could change if the spotting turns into AF.

Forgive me ladies, I'm here to rant. I know I'll be Oing today or tomorrow, could be any minute and I tried to get DH to DTD this morning since we were both tired last night (literally I yelled down stairs to tell him that he was on booty duty) and he's like why don't you just tell me to get my sperm up here...it's no fun, blah, blah,blah...and I'm like, honey, sometimes the BDfest isn't always fun. So I finally just said forget it, if you're not into it then I'm certainly not going to demand a deposit (of course what I really meant is lets get busy I'm going to be late for work) Suddenly I'm the drama queen and he's leaving the room. Long story short, we didn't BD, and I'm consumed w/ the fact that it could have been our last chance.
Hopefully tomorrow's temp will tell all but I *think* I might still have some EWCM today, not that I've been obsessively checking or anything
This part of TTCing brings out the worst in me but, those who have been here for a while, can completely understand the desire to get it absolutely perfectly right...because then you still only have a 20% chance of conceiving.
Okay, I'm taking a chill pill for now...do I have any cycle buddies out there??? I need to commiserate w/ someone!
katiems118
10-13-2006, 10:22 AM
tealynn-feel free to rant...hopefully you have 1 day more to get the BDing in...hopefully DH is on board.
I went to the dentist today for a cleaning, then the hygentist tells me that she cant take my xrays because she is pregnant, then goes on and on about how they were looking to adopt since her boyfriend had a vasectomy 3 years ago, and all of a sudden out of nowhere she got pregnant...anyways, then she tells me that apparently his vasectomy grew back and instead of having 500 million sperm he has 16 million...and shes having a girl.
I was pretty silent...didnt say much, then she tells me she has to put some sort of antibiotic on my gums because I have an area of inflammation, well I said, well is this going to be a problem if I want to get pregnant, and she says no....then I say well its been 6 months I dont want this to get in the way, and she says, oh you have plenty of time...dont worry, do you want to rub my belly for luck?
WTF
Anyways, enough of my rant...gotta get some work done.

RP from SWH:
Does anyone take OPKs while at work or have any recommendations on how to get way with doing an opk discreetly at work????
Flyby reply:
tealynn--I would guess you O'd yesterday, judging from the fact that today's temp is above your would-be CL. And FWIW, we got "tired" the cycle we conceived DD and didn't BD O day OR O-1! Check my chart in BFPs for Nov. In fact, there were 3 of us from the thread that have July babies and last BD 2 or more days before O! You've got 3 BD sessions of spermies in there, girl! Chin up.
OPKs at work--I would CAREFULLY open the package so that it was whole, maybe cut the end off, POAS, blot it dry and slide it back into the package. I would put it in my purse on the way to and from and then set it flat in my drawer when I got back to my desk. It was easy to check then.

tealynn- Make sure you tell DH it's all his fault if you don't get pg this cycle...j/k that probably wouldn't help anything! Anyway, I agree with mkvh, I think you O'd yesterday, and if so, you have perfect timing.
katie- I hate it when people are so insensitive. I am sure she thought she was really funny.
me- well, I'm kinda reeling right now. I called my dr's office yesterday on CD 1 to tell them that I wanted to do IUI. The nurse calls me back today and I am to start Clomid tomorrow, CD 3-7, then DH has to give me a shot in the butt CD 8-11, then I have to come in for u/s CD 12 (supposed to be CD11, but that's a Sunday) and we will go from there, depending on how ripe I am. My head is spinning! While I am SO happy that this will give us a fighting chance, I don't want to end up on the news with my octuplets or something! So much to digest...whew! I am off to google the drugs and the potential for multiples...

Sam - I'm so excited to see when you will O! I'm glad the side effects didn't get too bad for you. P.S. It's funny you should ask about OPKing at work, b/c I'm totally carrying my test strips in my purse and trying to figure out how to test at school (since I won't be home until late tonight).
Dana - I just noticed how low your temps are (and have been in previous cycles). Have you been tested for illnesses that can cause your temps to be so low?
tealynn - Aww, I'm sorry DH wasn't into being on "booty duty" (LOL). My husband is like that, too. I can't just tell him we need to BD. I have to put on something sexy and actually seduce him, cause if he finds out I'm only using him for his sperm, he won't do it.
katie - Some people are so dense.
mkvh - My OPKs wouldn't work like that. I have strips, not tests, so they have to be left on a non-absorbent surface, and there is no package to slide them into (they are all together in a cannister).
I wasn't able to get the Mr. to get it on this morning. :( I really wanted to do it last night (not particularly for baby-dancing, I was just horny - sorry if that's TMI :o ) and he was just not interested at all! I was kinda offended. :p
Loud_curly
10-13-2006, 11:13 AM
Tealynn - I agree with the others that you probably already Oed, and you did have several sperm deposits, so you're good to go! Welcome to the 2WW.
Sammy and Mel - I've not taken an OPK, but do you have room either on the back of the toilet or on top of the T/p holder to let it sit for a few minutes? I would just bring in the newspaper or book and stay in the stall for a few minutes. If anyone comes in and questions you, just say you have a stomach problem. Then you'd already be setting the stage for m/s (wishful thinking!)
Katie - Yep, that pretty much sucked! Going through this, I now know to never ask anyone "when are you going to have a baby" or something like that, even jokingly, b/c you never know. And nice to throw it in your face that she got pregnant with those circumstances. Some people
Jess - That's great news that your dr. was able to start you right away!!! Hope this works for you. We're pretty much cycle buddies, so it'll be great going through this with you (albeit without assistance from my end).
DelSol - Well, I'll hold out hope that it's implantation spotting and not AF! Then you can tell everyone at Christmas, rather than sneak in BDing sessions (fingers crossed for you).
Me - My MIL just told me one of DH's cousins just found out she was pregnant and told her parents, and now the whole family knows! She's been trying for about a year and is in her late 30s, so this was great news! Of course, I'm a little green with envy, but it reaffirms my decision to not tell anyone in my family until I'm near then end of the first trimester - I don't want everyone knowing before I hear the h/b!
Oh, and for those of you with DHs complaining about the "hard work" of BDing, we've decided to look into some toys to spice things up. I hope it can keep my DH's interest!

You guys are great! That's why I come here to rant.
Katie, sorry you had an "insensitive person" encounter. Do something nice for yourself today...maybe a little retail therapy?
mkvh, thanks for your level headed words of wisdom. It definitely makes me feel better especially to know that you quit trying a little early when you got your BFP!
Jess, oh you better believe I'll be letting him know if things don't work out this cycle that it was all his fault. I can hold a grudge with the best of them! ;) I'm sure you're head must be spinning with all the info. Wow, it makes it real and within reach...I don't know how you are about shots but I can't IMAGINE having someone give them to me because I hate needles. You're a brave woman!
AdSigmel, he usually doesn't mind booty duty but I guess I wasn't being very nice this morning. I can kind of see his point...Good luck w/ finding a way/place to POAStrip today!
Loud_curly, that's a good idea on spicing things up. It certainly couldn't hurt and apparently (naughty nurse) it really works!
I think I'm going to try a change of attitude this evening and keep BDing if I can, only because I usually O on CD19 (although I did O on CD 17 last cycle) and I'm having watery CM and some cramping. Although, I know O cramping can happen after O so, who knows. Only time will tell ;)
I thought you guys might find this interesting...
I work for an ad agency and the art director is doing a "Ladies of Harley" calendar for a friend. Just so happens the friend's wife owns this really elaborate red leather harley jacket and he wants a picture of it (including body) that to be the cover of the calendar...lucky me, I'm the only one the jacket fits so my a$$ (literally) is going to be in a photo shoot later today. I just keep running to the bathroom to check out my butt in the mirror, which is pretty convenient since I've been in there obsessively checking my CM too.

ADSigMel~ What type of illnesses? I had some prenatal tests done a year ago and everything came back perfect, nothing wrong with my thyroid and no PCOS, I was just tested for those two in June. I don't feel sick so that's why I'm stumped by the low temps and AF.
tealynn ~ you can always rant here, I was ranting last week. Maybe you can BDing tonight, if not tomorrow you could still have chance.
Jess71903 ~ great news! Good luck!
Loud_curly ~ thanks for holding out hope, I still got the end of this month, Halloween and November to get PG. I just obsess about wanting to be 32 instead of 33 having my first baby.
katiems118 ~ I'm sorry some people are rude. I know I'll probably have to hear something from one of my relatives tomorrow at this family wedding. I'll just have to turn around and say "it's it time you start bugging the bride when is SHE going to have a baby now that she is married???" As they did with me when I got married.
Ladies, I'm so ready to call this AF, it's very light but I still need to use a tampon. My only thing this week was being tired. I'm not a ball of energy today but I have more than what I did.

Jess - Ooops, we cross-posted before. Congratulations on getting the go-ahead to start IUI, and so soon! Be sure to let us know what you find out in your research.
Loud_curly - I'm with you about not wanting to tell anyone right away when we get pg. Everybody in my family has a huge mouth, plus I'm from a very small, very close-knit community, so the second my mom found out, another 2500 people would know within the next 24 hours or so. As for the toys...we have found them very useful. ;)
tealynn - Wow, you're going to be a model! How cool! Let us know how it goes.
DelSol - I was thinking low thyroid function, because I know it can cause low temps among other things. I don't know what other problems can cause such low temps as yours. But if you don't feel sick and you don't have any troublesome symptoms, I wouldn't worry too much, I guess. Sorry you're having what appears to be AF. Wierd that it should come so soon....

Tealynn - How cool, you're a supermodel! Have fun at the photo shoot. Sorry about your DH, I understand that desire to get one more "deposit" in. Hopefully you've got enough of them swimming around already. ;)
Good luck with the IUI Jess. How do you feel about the shots, are you freaking out? Exciting though I'm sure, I hope this is what you guys needed!
So I got a message from my RE this morning (they have this cool thing were you call in to get messages re: test results, I have my own # and everything). My tests came back (-) except for yeast. I have a yeast infection and didn't know it. How weird is that? Actually I've never had a yeast infection, but wouldn't I have symptoms? So strange. I'm wondering if the yeast has something to do with my late O? Does anyone know?
Also, my temp is still low'ish, but higher than past cover lines. OS is putting my cover line around 97.7 or 97.8 when it is usually 97.2 or 97.3. This is such a strange cycle. Yes, my temps aren't as high as they usually are post O, but then again I'm not taking progesterone this time (which makes them higher). Sigh. I wonder if I just had a REALLY weak O?

Yay! I think there are several of us that are cycle buddies...I just can't remember exactly who. Anyway, I am looking forward to having a record month for BFPs in November! We need a good one!
Jess, I'm sure you're head must be spinning with all the info. Wow, it makes it real and within reach...I don't know how you are about shots but I can't IMAGINE having someone give them to me because I hate needles. You're a brave woman!
It is spinning, and it is weird to feel within reach. I haven't felt like this since I took that last little BCP. Don't start calling me a brave woman yet. I HATE needles too, but I HATE not being pregnant more, so I am willing to risk it.
I just keep running to the bathroom to check out my butt in the mirror, which is pretty convenient since I've been in there obsessively checking my CM too.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Wow, good luck with that, girl! I could never do that!
Jess - Ooops, we cross-posted before. Congratulations on getting the go-ahead to start IUI, and so soon! Be sure to let us know what you find out in your research.
Thanks! So far I have found that both drugs I will be taking carry a slightly increased chance of multiples, along with some other, mostly mild, side effects. I did find out that Repronex is a combination of FSH and LH.
Good luck with the IUI Jess. How do you feel about the shots, are you freaking out? Exciting though I'm sure, I hope this is what you guys needed!
Totally freaking out. I am excited to be doing something proactive and with a higher possibility of making me a mommy!
My tests came back (-) except for yeast. I have a yeast infection and didn't know it. How weird is that? I'm wondering if the yeast has something to do with my late O? Does anyone know?
I don't know but it seems reasonable to me. It is weird that you have a yeast infection but don't know it! Maybe it's not bad enough to make you have symptoms, but enough to show up on a test. Weird.
Sigh. I wonder if I just had a REALLY weak O?[/QUOTE]
crap, I forgot to look at your chart before I answered. I am sorry this is so frustrating!
Sammy ~ I'd have to say it's a flow. It's darkish red not a bright red.
If it goes away by Sunday and comes back on Thursday, AF's original due date than I'll really be freaked out.
I am sorry about all of this! As if the "normal" stuff isn't confusing enough! I am off to stalk your chart too, just to see. I would definitely at least call your dr. about it and see what he/she says.

Congrats Magrat!!
Congrats Risa!!
ADSigMel: Thanks for the heads up. All I keep seeing at the shops are 7 sticks for $20.
FSUSammy: Thanks for the link! I really appreciate it.
Cat_loverpg: Thanks also for the ebay tip.
I recently read the Conception Chronicles "The Uncensored Truth About Sex, Love & Marriage When You're Trying to Get Pregnant" which wasn't particularly well written, but was fairly humerous.
And I just got Conquering Infertility: Dr. Alice Domar's Mind/Body Guide to Enhancing Fertility and Coping with Infertility out of the library. I was a bit scared off by the "infertility" in the title, but polkadot mentioned it had some good exercises in it, esp for not stressing, I decided to read it. Will update later with review.
As for me I'm having lower back pain and headache from hell. I do believe AF is on her way. I'm thinking good thoughts for next month.

Jess - I wish you the best of luck this cycle with the IUI. So you are starting clomid tomorrow?
RP from SWH:
Me - Hmmmm CD 6 and when I check my cm internally, I was expecting it to be dry or maybe even sticky. NOPE I had EWCM! It was stretchy and all. Oh yeah and I've been having O pains on my right side all afternoon. I guess maybe Clomid is doing something!

Congrats on having a plan Jess. Sammy -- good luck with the Clomid.
As for me, there's no change. My temps are freakishly stable. I took my temp again after getting up to pee this morning, just to see if my thermometer was broken and it's not. So I still have no clue what's going on.

Those of you who used to be on BCP......do you remember getting headaches when you stopped taking them? Man, I've had a dull headache every morning for the past week. :(
I added an overlay chart to my home page. Not so exciting now, but I think it'll be useful when I'm in the 2WW if I pin the overlay at ovulation. (Right now they're pinned at CD1.) There are two other cycles on there to compare....one ovulatory, and one pregnancy. The cycle I got PG I noticed my post-O temps becoming different at 9 DPO.
DelSol
10-13-2006, 07:19 PM
DianeCourt ~ I don't remember headaches but then again, I've been off it for over a year now. I really like doing the overlay on my charts, I can see a pattern, except for this cycle, it's breaking the pattern.

Hi ladies! I'm back from petsitting and so far behind it's not even funny.
Welcome Sumike and Aprilbride! Hope your stays are short and sweet.
Sorry to those AF found, good luck to those O'ing soon.
I'm just waiting for AF to show up.... I was expecting to start spotting today but nothing yet. I took my last dose of Provera Monday. I looked back at my last cycle which was also Provera-induced and counted the days from my last pill to AF, if I reacted the same I should have spotted today and start AF full-force tomorrow. So now I'm freaked a little bit because I didn't test before I started it this time because I saw no O on my chart, but now I'm thinking what if I just missed O on the chart and did Provera anyway? I'm sure I'm not but just surprised AF isn't here yet.
In other news, DH may be getting a new job... it's night shift driving truck.. he'd be gone 11pm-9am Mon-Friday. That kind of sucks but the pay is about double what he's making now and free medical insurance. And right now we are barely making it paycheck to paycheck and were worried about how we were going to make it once we had a baby. We're pretty sure he'll get it, applied for it a few weeks ago... he had the job offer then but at that point it was the evening shift (4pm-11pm) and I'd never see him so he turned it down. Well the guy called today again and told him he had another opening for the overnight shift and to call if he was interested.. we talked about it and decided that at least we'd have evenings together when I got home from work so to go ahead and call him back. He has an official interview on Monday morning.
Sorry for the book! :o
I forgot to add: threadmistress, DH turned 30 on Wednesday (along with half of cc it seems!) Please update his age, thanks!

Okay I give up, I couldn't find the MBFP. The only BFP's I saw were gymwidow and AprilBride2002 (from her last pregnancy), and those aren't a mystery. Oh well, congrats to whoever it is! :)
Speaking of giving up, since I'm now on medication for my unknown-to-me yeast infection I'm giving up for this cycle. I'm so far into the cycle that if I was to O now I doubt that it would be a good one anyway. Sigh. I'm thinking about using OPK strips next month. I priced them at Walgreens and they were high ($17-35 for 7 strips)! I'm going to check out online prices. Any recommendations?

Here nothing much. 11 DPO, and I had a flat cycle. Which in some ways is good news for me.
Before I had my son, I always had really flat cycles, looking a LOT like the one i'm going through now. Since I started charting again, after AF's first visit, all my chart were a lot more rocky. I thought it was just the fact that I had a kid that suddenly made my cycles really different looking. But this month proved me wrong. I think my body is now really back to before, the hormones has leved out, and *now* I'm ready to go.
Ok now, if AF can come along, I'm ready for next month!:D

Sam - Oh my gosh, yay! I'm glad it seems to be working so soon for you!
ABirney - Welcome back! at the Provera scare. I have no idea what would happen if one were to take it after becoming pg. You might want to ask your doctor what you should do if you're concerned, but from your BD schedule, there's probably not too much of a chance that this will be an issue. FWIW, I've never taken Provera per se, but after I went off Depo before I started charting, I think it took at least a week before I got my period. Good luck to your husband on the new job opportunity!
polkadot - Yikes! I've definitely heard that m/c cycles are very fertile, so there's certainly a chance that you're pg again. When does FF want you to test?
honeygirl - Oh, I'm sorry about the YI complicating things for you. But I'm feeling the same way about any potential O being useless at this point. :( I got 20 Answer OPK strips at Kroger for $20.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Robyn!!!
I've still got CM, and my cervix is starting to open, so maybe I'm gearing up again to O. The OPKs are still negative, though, and my temp is lower than it has been. I'm wondering if the low temps have been because it's finally gotten cold, though, even though I've been bundling up at night to stay warm.

Well I had a tiny bit of spotting earlier today so I think we're ok and AF should be arriving within the next few days. I'll be glad when she shows so I can start a fresh cycle. ADSigMel - I certainly hope that you're gearing up to O - come on down, eggie :p

Hey ladies. Figured I'd post a quick update. CD 7 today. Done with Clomid. I've been having hot flashes all day. Cervix is still low and CM is sticky, borderline creamy. I started taking mucinex today to help with thinning my CM so we'll see if that helps. I also received my package of opks and preseed so I'll be ready for my first opk on Monday.

Hey Ladies - Thanks for the birthday wishes! I actually took yesterday OFF! Manicure, pedicure and shopping! It was nice :) We'll still celebrate in Nov though b/c we didn't do anything much - I was asleep by 10!
On my way to the train station in a few minutes (as soon as I can roll DH out of bed to take me, *lol*)
I'll be in New York all week and working all day (hopefully not all night too) - I'll try and read along as best I can to keep up with you all.
I didn't wind up charting this month - my schedule was to erratic to get a real read. If I stick to the same sched as last month, I should O on Wed (obviously DH will be nowhere around) - I told him he was "on call" last night - so, even though we were both exhausted - we got one round in (3-4 days pre-O I guess) - so, probably no shot this month - but that's ok.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK! Hope I come back to lots of BFP's :)

Me ~ CD25 ~ 10DPO, still not calling my spotting AF. I want to wait until Thursday to see if get the real AF or not. If not I will change my spotting to AF but it's really light, I think I had one day of maybe medium flow. I'm so confused about this. It looks like flow but it's light.

I'm still in shock actually. To say that I didn,t have the feeling for this month is an understatement. I started to wonder yesterday, as usually, I don't have ashigh temps on 11DPO. I decided to wait this morning, and see what this morning temps would say. Sure enough, it was high again, and so I tried to find an excuse to run to the pharmacy at 8:00 am, to get a test...
I tested while DH was on the phone. Sure enough, it was positive. I was dancing in the bathroom lol
Then I gave the stick to DS and said to DH that DS had something for him.
He was all teary eyes after he looked at the test:D it was cute.
I'm really nervous though, since this month, being sure I was nothing close to being preggo, I took Xrays at my job. I was protected by a steal shield, but still...I need to see a doctor about this. Wish me luck!

As for me, still no AF. I'm getting peeved. I wish she'd just friggin' show up if she's gonna. We went to Omaha this weekend, to see my sisters and my mom. I figured she'd show up full force while we were gone, but she didn't. My sister and I were running around Target friday night and I got some pretty intense cramps. When we got back, I checked and I was bleeding a bit. So, I put in a tampon and went to bed. Checked in the AM, and NOTHING. WTF?!
I also spotted after our 'marital relations' ( ;) )this morning. Now, nothing. I hate not knowing what's going on.

CD10 for me. Still not feeling well and not sure whether we should even try this month. My dr still doesn't know what is wrong with me, may be gall bladder problems and DH had a year followup for his knee replacement and it looks like he may have an infection. Guess we need to decide quickly. My stepmother works for the VA and she said they require you to stay in the hospital for 3 months getting IV antibiotics. I know for a fact you can be sent home with the IV in and do your own antibiotics but my concern is if for some reason he is in the hospital that long there is no way I could work and take care of our farm with winter coming on if I were pg :(

I'll be back with more shout-outs when I get to work....
melandtim ~ my grandfather had a knee replacement and earlier this year had an infection. He was in the hospital for a long time but he is over 80 years old. I'm pretty sure they had to take his knee cap out and he had to keep this knee straight no bending. I hope your DH doesn't have to go through all that and the antibiotics will clear it up right away. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well yet either. Good Luck!

10-16-2006, 06:16 AM
Hi DelSol - my DH has had his in for about 14 months now. The dr thinks its a low grade infection so antibiotics should clear it up. I know there are times they take it out when the infection occurs right after the surgery. A coworker's roomate developed a severe infection a couple weeks after hers. She has been at home on IV antibiotics for about 6 weeks now.

Wow - y'all were very chatty this weekend.
Congrats CosmoGirl!
CD33 for me but my temps have come back to Pre-O levels for 4 days now so I still might O this cycle. I'm hoping my doc calls today to let me know what if anything we are going to do about my thyroid. The tech told me that both sides were obviously enlarged and were "mottled" in appearance. Then he scanned his own so I could see what it was supposed to look like. I have no idea if that is enough evidence that I might need some meds or if they will just wait and see.
ETA: We got a crib and cradle delivered to us this weekend. One of the girls I work with gave us half her stuff (she has 3 year old twins). The crib is a very pretty Jenny Lind looking one and in pretty good shape. Now it is hidden away at the back of our closet. We have no idea where to store the cradle (it is homemade so it can't be taken apart) so it is sitting in the middle of our living room. The dog keeps standing up to try to look inside it. :D

Mel - I hope everything works out for you and DH. I know you guys will make the right decision.
Kanga - I hope you get a plan of action on how to deal with your thyroid issue.
Me - CD 9, nothing really eventful really. Still having hot flashes from Clomid but thankfully no other side effects. I started Mucinex on Saturday to help with my CM since Clomid can dry me up. I will do my first OPK at work around 11:30. LOL I'm trying to wait 4 hours since the last time I went this morning. I'll let you all know how I manage to pull this off.

CONGRATS!!!!!! Cosmogirl! I'm so excited for you. H&H 9 months!
Kanga, that's a cute story about your doggie. Animals are so hilarious. I get hours of entertainment from our beagle.
Catlover, we have my DH's little teeny tiny baseball glove from when he was a kid perched right on the headboard of our bed for good luck. His mom also gave me his silver cup and little stuffy from when he was a baby and I have it on my nightstand.
FSUSammy, hopefully the Clomid will help regulate your cycle this month...and it sounds like you're all ready w/ your supplies :)
I just started the Conception Chronicles last night and so far, it's easy and entertaining reading. I'm soooooo in the Fall mood right now. We got and carved pumpkins yesterday (after football of course!) and I bought a bunch of fall colored Mums.
Threadmistress, please move me to think I O'ed testing October 25th. That being said, FF has me Oing CD 16 but I still had EWCM that day. Would you guys agree that it was probably CD 17?
Loud_curly
10-16-2006, 08:32 AM
Tealynn - Based on your temps, I would say you Oed on CD16. Sometimes EWCM lasts after O.
Sammy - Yay that you got your supplies. I picked up some Preseed at a nearby (independent) pharmacy. The owner was surprised that I found them without a doctor's recommendation.
Me- not much going on here. Waiting for AF to leave the building today or tomorrow. Planning on starting BDing Sunday, and then we have to wait again until next Wednesday (10/25) due to DH business travel. FF thinks I'll O on Friday 10/27, so we should still be OK.

RP from SWH:
OPK at work update: Alright ladies... I was able to hold my pee until 11. That was a good 3.5 hours. Should be good enough. Well I brought a little make-up pouch with 5 opks (one for each work day) and 5 small cups. LOL Before I left my desk I opened up the pouch and opened the opk I planned on using and then proceeding to the "facilities". There was someone in the stall next to me but I just went ahead and took my sample into my little cup and put it behind the toilet temporarily. I quickly tested and put the strip back into its packaging. I dumped the sample out and threw the little cup away in the feminine trash thing in the stall. LOL I walked back to my test and placed the test in my drawer and have been watching it for the last 10 min. It's definitely negative. There is a very very light test line though. I plan on testing again tonight when I get home from work so that means I'll need to limit fluids starting around 3, which will be HARD!

Sammy -Great job with hiding the OPK! Did your Dr. instruct you to start the OPKs at CD8? Seems a bit early to me, but maybe Clomid speeds up the cycle?
FSUSammy
10-16-2006, 09:49 AM
Loud_curly - I have read online that with Clomid you should start taking opks 3 days after your last pill since you can O anywhere from 5-10 days after the last pill. So that's why I started so early.

mrsjackson ~ sorry no AF yet.
honeygirl ~ thanks, wish I knew what was up with the LP, guess I'll know by Thurs/Fri.

kanga ~ cool you got a crib & cradle.
cat ~ I hope something happens soon for you.
Sammy ~ sorry about the hot flashes, good luck with the POKs. Looks like you were able to pull it off at work.
tealynn ~ I'd have to say CD16 also.
loud_curly ~ let me know how you like the Preseed, I still haven't bought it.
me ~ CD 26 - 11DPO, spotting stopped yesterday. Now I just need to wait to see if the real AF shows up this week or not. DH & I have our R&R planned for Friday, we'll go down Thursday evening. The plan is for me to leave sick on Thursday, then I can set my "out of office" assistant at work and I'll call out on Friday AM.

RP from SWH:
Hey ladies. I need your advice even though I KNOW what the answers are going to be. LOL Last week when I was bored I decided to play with a due date calculator and based on my LMP I'd be due July 15th if we were to get a BFP this cycle. I work in the cruise industry and know that my parents are going on a cruise the week before July 15th and are planning on another cruise at the end of July. My parents are already looking into getting airline tickets for the cruise for the end of July since it leaves from Puerto Rico. I guess my question is should I put a bug in my mom's ear that maybe they should wait or at least get travel insurance just in case they need to cancel the trip to be at their 1st grandchild's birth? Or should I just keep quiet and not worry about it at all since really the chances of us getting a BFP any given cycle is only about 25%.
Thanks!
Sam

Sammy - wish I had an answer for you. One of the reasons we decided to put off actually trying until next month is because my parents go away for six weeks from the middle of June to the end of July every summer, and I didn't want to have to deal with that. OTOH, since you are on clomid, you might let your mom know what's up.
You all were right - my temp jumped a wee bit and FF moved my crosshairs. I'm feeling a bit PMSy (sore BBs) so I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it.
tealynn
10-16-2006, 12:56 PM
Sam, I would talk to her about it if you're close. I wouldn't put a definite time frame on it but just say we're trying and it could happen as early as this cycle, etc.
I forgot to mention this earlier...I watched a Dr. Drew special on DHC this weekend "From Conception to Birth" and they featured this woman (much like many of us) who was having trouble conceiving and started taking Clomid...low and behold she became pregnant with triplets. WOW. I always knew that was a risk but I wonder what the percentage is of having multiples??? Her stomach was SO huge and distorted (she was really little). And she was on constant bedrest about half way through her pregnancy.
First FPS of this cycle, my armpits are sore, right on the bra line.
FSUSammy
10-16-2006, 01:00 PM
tealynn - the chances of multiples on clomid goes up to 10% which isn't much really. Do you know if the woman on that show had an IUI? If so then I believe the chances are higher with that since typically they are trying to make as many eggs that way you have more chances.

I have a UTI. :( It's fairly mild, so I'm surviving right now. I'm 4DPO, so I'm just leery about taking anything, even though I know doctors can prescribe things are that "safe". I'm going in to see the doctor today. I guess I also feel a little silly saying to the doctor that I might be pregnant at this point. Anyhoo, hope everyone is having a good Monday.

granada - UTI's suck!!! I had one last cycle at around 3 DPO and had to go to the doctor's. They gave me macrobid which is apparently safe. I of course called up my ob/gyn afterwards to make sure it was before I filled the script. I felt silly telling my doc that I could be pg but they need to know, otherwise they'll prescribe you something too strong like cipro.

Jessied, good luck w/ your test tomorrow. Hopefully it be quick, easy and painless! Let us know how it goes!
Uh huh, MRs. Jackson, I KNEW you wouldn't be able to stay away too long. Once you get the baby bug, it's hard to let go!

Girls. I have a question for any of you who have endo
Can you have the symptoms on random cycles or is it every cycle?
What are your symptoms like?
I feel like my insides are about to fall out...i just have this heavy feeling in my lower abdomen and down there...its very strange....when I mentioned this to my doc a few months ago and he said it could be endo, but then it never happened again and now its back again...maybe its b/c its my first full cycle after the m/c
thanks for any info yall can give :D

RP from SWH:OPK at work update: Alright ladies... This cracked me up, you did such a great job describing your covert OPK mission. :) At my office we have 1 bathroom that locks so I won't have to worry about hiding things. As for your question, I think I'd give my parents a heads up and see if they could hold off little bit before buying.
I always knew that was a risk but I wonder what the percentage is of having multiples???
My RE told me that there is an up to 6% increase in multiples with Clomid. My hunch is that the rate is higher (6%) if you already have a family hx of multiples.

Lame chart question: Okay, I realize that my ongoing hope that I O'd without obvious signs is sort of pathetic and lame. However, that said when I messed around with the O detector methods on FF it gave me an O w/ the Research Method. I know it's a lame method, heck I just told one of you that in the last couple of weeks. But dammit, I want an O on my chart! If it's right then I'm 10dpo today, which has a much happier ring to it than cd31. So, can anyone see it on the FF chart? What if you squint? ;)

Well, DH is a nurse (oops, I mean RN...apparently nurse is too girly), and he likes to flex his RN muscles. He will sometimes reach for my hand and I am thinking, "aw, how sweet. he is going to hold my hand" and then he starts tapping the veins on the back of my hand. He is good, though. when I had my lap, it was one of his classmates that stuck me 4 times and missed for the IV. I SO wanted him to do it because he does it all day long.

Woohoo, thanks for seeing it. :) I can see a shift a bit better on my OS chart than the FF one.
Jess - Thanks for trying to see my O. ;) One thing to complicate matters this month is that I'm not taking progesterone, which makes my post-o temps much higher (I think). I've pretty much been taking progesterone the whole time I've been TTC.

Thank you all for the UTI condolences. :( I went to the on-call doctor, and he gave me a prescription for Cephalexin. He said it was safe for pregnant women, but I might just double-check with my ob-gyn. (Thanks for the idea, FSUSammy. :))
Btw, the on-call doctor was such a baby face! My regular doctor only works part-time now, so she's usually always booked, and if I have to see a doctor at the last minute, it is usually some old guy, so when this doctor walked in, I was kind of surprised. I don't think he could be much older than my 22-year-old brother. He was very courteous and thorough, though, and checked to see if I had any back or abdominal pain, even called me "Mrs."
Goodness.
tealynn ~ Yes, we are cycle buddies. :) I meant to post that, but got caught up in my UTI business.

CD11 for me, I guess we need to start our BD marathon but I have felt so bad I haven't wanted to. DH and I talked last night and he doesn't want to put off TTC. Our main concern is that he may have to have the implant taken out and redone which means he would be laid up for quite some time. But as he said we can find a way to deal it. I am headed back to my doctor's this Am. She thinks its my gall bladder which may mean I am headed for surgery  Not good timing we are supposed to be leaving tomorrow AM for finals with the horses  Why couldn't it have waited for a couple weeks??

Polka - I don't have endo but it runs in my family. It seems like every person with endo feels a different type of pain depending on where it is located outside the uterus. My mom would literally pass out from the pain (usually while she was trying to go to the bathroom).
No news from the doc yet. I called in to get the quantitative number from my TSH check and hopefully they will at least call back with that today. I know what the number was last year and now I'm curious if it is in the same ballpark this year or if that is just another indication that meds might be needed. I got a little EWCM last night so we're keeping our hopes up this cycle.

Well, girls- I am back to try for baby #3!
CC Name: missy329
Me: Lisa 37
DH: Jim 39
DD: Katie 4/16/04
DD: Maggie 4/28/06
Married since: May 17, 2003
Off BCP since: July 2006
TTC since: July 2006
Charting since: August 2006
Known issues/test results: nonw
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2b4de
Current status: waiting to O
So, let me give you a little background on us. We have a daughter,Katie, who is 2 1/2 and we have a daughter, Maggie, who is 5 months. I was told by my Dr that I may have a hard time getting pg with my DD1 because I had fibroid surgery and had a lot of scarring from that. So, we started trying as soon as we were married. We got pg on my second cylce- yes 2 months after we were married. So, when it came time for baby #2 I thought it would be just as easy. Well, it was 10 months of trying for her- including 7 months of charting. So, now we would like to try for baby #3. But, it is a bit difficult to try with a 2 year old, a 5 month old, I work days, and my DH works nights! We are doing our best. :o
I have continued stalking in this thread since I got pg with DD2. Everyone is so supportive in here! I am looking forward to being a part of it again (but hopefully not for too long- if you know what I mean ;) )

ABirney - Gimpy furbabies are no good:( Hope they feel better soon!
Missy329 - Welcome (back)!
Jen - Do let us know when you get the BFP! Take care!
Amuse and DelSol - You're both nearing the end of your LPs - any testing dates planned?
Granada and Tealynn - Hope you caught the eggie, and will be able to end this month with some BFPs!
Kanga - I hope the dr. calls back with some good news so you can figure out your next steps.
Honeygirl - I can see the O, so now you only have a week or so to wait to see if your BDing was successful.
Mel - Wow, you have a lot on your plate these next few months. I hope you don't need surgery.
Well, I know I didn't get everyone - I'll stop back in later in the day to catch up with those I missed. Hope everyone's hanging in there!

ABirney ~ For some reason, when I read your comment on the wooden cow it just sounded funny to me. Got a good laugh out of it! :) I hope your furbabies are doing better...you are so lucky to get free vet care!
honeygirl ~ I can see where you might have a small temp shift on your chart, but really your temps aren't that high for being post-O. Sorry, but I agree with Jess and don't think you've O'd yet. I know that's not what you wanted to hear...

FF says I O'ed on CD15, and I agree, because CM pretty much dried up after that. So, my goal for this 2ww is not to speculate and not to over-analyze. Now I must find something to do to keep myself busy for a while...
A little late, but congratulations Cosmogirl! And welcome, missy329!

Jess - Glad the only s/e you are having are the hot flashes. Those are probably the most manageable to have! LOL
Jen - Sorry to see you leaving us but I'm sure its the right decision for you guys. Take care and definitely let us know when you get your BFP. And if you feel like checking in on us, you are more than welcome to do that too.
granada - Glad you got meds for the UTI!!! Hope they are ok'd by your ob/gyn.
Missy - Welcome, hope your stay is short and sweet!
Me - CD 10 today. My second OPK last night was also negative, not a surprise really. I'll take another this morning at work, around 11. My temp dropped drastically today and I'm not sure why but am hoping it was a fluke. I had read somehere that once you finish clomid your temps will go back to where they normally are, so I'm wondering if that's what happened. I'm debating on whether we should start our BD-fest today or not. I could O anywhere from tomorrow to next Monday. I hate not knowing! Also I'm not having any more clomid side effects, which is wonderful! Thanks to all of you that answered my question about my parents and their vacation. I've actualy decided NOT to say anything just because if I tell my mom she can't keep her mouth shut and before I know it my entire family will know, and I don't want that. Plus I talked to DH yesterday and we both agreed that we won't even be announcing our BFP to our families until there is at least a heartbeat.

lots of catching up to do, you ladies are busy in the afternoon and evening...
polkadot ~ sorry about AF
Sammy ~ a little late but I would tell them to get travel insurance.
mrsjackson ~ glad to have you as our cheerleader. http://www.kenandkeli.com/images/smilies/cheerleader.gif
granada ~ sorry about the UTI, I hope you feel better soon.
Jessie ~ good luck today.
Jess ~ good luck with the shots.
Jen ~ sorry to see you go, you'll be missed. http://www.kenandkeli.com/images/smilies/goodluck.gif I hope you get a BFP.
ABirney ~ hope the furbabies are ok.
melandtim ~ good luck with the BD marathon, I hope you don't need surgery.
missy329 ~ welcome!
ceaserbride ~ I can see the temp shift but don't see the EWCM.
loud_curly ~ it's getting close, have to wait until Thursday to see what my temp does then I'm out of town on Friday so maybe Saturday if AF is a no show.
cat_lover ~ love the dream.
me ~ CD27 - 12DPO. Getting close to the end of when the real AF should be showing. Had some very light spotting on the TP last night but that was all. Don't have any thing going on, slight soreness in one of my bbs but nothing else, no where near the tiredness I had last week.

FSUSammy ~ I think that's a good decision. I like to go on the assumption that all is status quo until I'm ready to say anything. When the time comes and if it conflicts with the cruise, then your parents will deal with it then. For now, you just have to worry about BD'ing. ;) If there is a possibility that you will O tomorrow, I say start the BD fest now.
ceaserbride ~ Have you tried green tea or grapefruit juice? I did grapefruit juice everyday after AF stopped, and it gave me a lot more mucousy CM. (Not sure if mucously is a word.) I figure it cannot hurt, so why not.
DelSol ~ Love your cute little smilies. :)
Ok, better get changed and go to work now!

According to FF, if I go by the FAM method I O'ed on CD 11 and should test tomorrow. if I go by the Advanced method I O'ed on CD 18 and should test next week sometime. Since I have no clue, and the chances of actualle being pg this cycle are slim, due to bases NOT being covered, I'm going to wait for AF to show or until it's ridiculous.

First off, sorry if this is long and wordy. I just copied it from my LJ and Still at It thread.
I had my HSG this moring and everything went well. I was extremely nervous going into the appointment. When the nurse started telling me how the procedure works I started crying a little bit. She was really nice and understanding and indicated that I have a good doctor and that she will try and make it as painless as possible. I was lucky enough that they let Jim come in the room with me. He had to put on a vest during the procedure, but it was nice being able to hold onto his hand. The only time I really felt anything was when she held down my cervix and when she started pushing the dye into my uterus and tubes. Fortunately they didn't find any blockage in the tubes or any polyps or an odd shape to the uterus. They had me roll onto each side so they could check everthing, which caused a little tightness but nothing major.
My doctor asked Jim if or when he was going to have his SA. He indicated that he had it, but was waiting for results. Today he is going to contact his doctor's office and had the results faxed over to my doctor.
The next step: Once she receives Jim's SA results she can determine if any further testing is needed for me. Right now she is not ruling out endometriosis, but doesn't think I have it since I don't really have any of the normal signs. I did ask her if she was concerned about the pain I get before I ovulate, which has been greatly discreased since I have been able to stay regular. She indicated that since my pain has decreased she is not as concerned with it, but should keep her informed if it get worse again. She gave me a prescription for Clomid (100mg) and Estrace (sp?)(estrogen) to use during my next cycle. She also indicated to make use of this cycle, since there is a good chance of getting pregnant right after a HSG.
So now we just have to keep our hopes up and keep BDing and hope that we get our BFP!!!
I do have a question with Clomid. I thought Clomid was only used for individuals that don't O? Is it common to be given to increase the size of the folicles? I guess I don't know that much about Clomid and I will definately have to do some reseaching.

Jessie - I'm glad your HSG went well. Glad DH was able to be there holding your hand too. Regarding clomid, not its not necessarily just used for those that don't O. It can help increase the number of follicles as well as making our O stronger.

Armadillo - Sorry AF showed up - welcome to the club!
Amuse - I can see the 2 different potential O times, good luck waiting to test!
Jessie - Glad your HSG went well, and that your DH was there and had his SA so you can get on with the BDing this month.
DelSol - Love your animated smilies - that's way beyond me. I'm not even doing quotes yet! Hope you have a great time in Atlantic City - where will you be staying?
Sammy - I agree with not telling people until you hear the h/b. Both sides of my family know that we've been trying since June, but I won't let them know we're pg until towards the end of the first trimester. It helps that we don't have family in town, so we don't see them that often. (And that I put on a few pounds since going off BCP, so the weight gain is already there!)

Jessie, I'm glad everything turned out okay w/ your HSG. I know I would been really nervous too—I cry when I get shots (well not anymore but I did until high school).
Ceasarbride, I'm not 100% convinced that you've O'ed...you don't seem to have the 3 consecutive days of temp rise above your coverline. We don't really have anything to compare it to so I guess it's a wait and see game.
Abirney, I wish AF would just go ahead and show up already. She's really taunting you this time!
ChrisnJen, good luck getting your BFP! Hopefully the laid back approach will be just the thing you need.
Missy, Welcome! Your schedule sounds pretty exhausting...are you sure you're ready for your 3rd???? Hope your stay is short!
Honeygirl, if you did indeed O, I think it was a very soft O...Do you have charts from before you were taking Progesterone? You should compare.
Granada, I'm not sure how I'd feel about having a Doc that's younger than I am...and being called ma'am. Of course the "eye candy" factor is not so bad!
Nothing exciting to report here...just try to be

Armadillo ~ sorry about AF.
jessie ~ glad to hear the HSG went well. I hope you get lucky and get a BFP this month.
Loud_curly ~ we are staying at the Tropicana. We couldn't pass up a room for $59 plus breakfast. In June we stayed at the Borgata, talk about heaven.

DelSol - Ooh, the Borgata! We haven't been yet. Even though we're outside of DC, we go to Vegas way more than AC. Last time we were in AC was over a year ago, and we stayed at the Sands. $59 for a room plus breakfast - that's a great deal!

Jess - Thanks for trying to see my O. ;) One thing to complicate matters this month is that I'm not taking progesterone, which makes my post-o temps much higher (I think). I've pretty much been taking progesterone the whole time I've been TTC.
I'd forgotten that your DH is a RN (cough - nurse). Handy to have around in times like these.
Oh, I would definitely think the progesterone was making your temps high then. This makes me very hopeful that Clomid will work for you!
Well ladies, I just wanted to tell you that i'm ready to graduate.
TONS of *****baby dust**** to you ladies!!!
Congrats, and thank you for the baby dust! We need it!
As for me, still some very light spotting. (Just on the tp, not on liner yet.) I know my chart only looks good because it's Provera-induced... I was hoping a missed seeing an O in there somewhere but I guess not. Oh well.
DH had his job interview today, it went ok. We also have 2 gimpy furbabies, so gotta take care of them. (more in journal.)
Have a great night everyone!
I am a fellow shameless journal plugger ;) . Sorry about the spotting and potential AF. I know you have said, but are you doing anything medical next cycle?
Well, girls- I am back to try for baby #3!
Welcome! You're right, this is a great group! We hope you don't have to stay long either!
Hey guys! I know it's been a while but I'm pretty sure I O'd so I'll be back for all the over analizing of my 2ww. FF hasn't called an O yet but if someone(s) wouldn't mind looking at my chart to see I'd appreciate it. And if I did O...look at that timing!!!
I see a slight shift. hopefully it will become even more evident tomorrow!
Threadmistress ~ Please move me to I think I O'ed. Testing 10/28.
So, my goal for this 2ww is not to speculate and not to over-analyze. Now I must find something to do to keep myself busy for a while...
Yay for Oing! I hope you can stay  during your 2WW
Jess - Glad the only s/e you are having are the hot flashes. Those are probably the most manageable to have! LOL
Me Also I'm not having any more clomid side effects, which is wonderful! Thanks to all of you that answered my question about my parents and their vacation. I've actualy decided NOT to say anything just because if I tell my mom she can't keep her mouth shut and before I know it my entire family will know, and I don't want that.
I am glad that's about all I have too. I also have a very very mild headache today, and it seems like my eyes take a little while to focus when I look from one thing to another, but that's all minor. I am glad your s/es are gone! I would say start the BD fest tonight and maybe go every other day for a couple of days. Also, good move with not telling your parents. If I thought it would be all over the family that quick, I wouldn't tell either.
Ya, I don't think I've ever had EWCM...blah.
I don't have much either. I agree with granada. I have had good success with green tea- I had nearly no watery or EWCM, and I had tons of watery and a little EW with green tea. I like Lipton diet citrus and Nestea diet peach.
I'm waiting to O again!

Loud_curly ~ we got a free night at Borgata in June. This December we are going to Las Vegas, this will be our 4th trip, we're staying at Excalibur, another good deal at $39/night, plus we have over $300 in comp dollars that must be spent. The last time I was at the Sands I did pretty good.

jessie~ Glad that the HSG went well. I wanted to let you know that last month I was on 100mg of Clomid, and estrace and then progesterone and then...I got my BFP .,...i am crossing my fingers and toes for you that it happens quickly!! The question you asked about people Oing buy still being put on clomid, yes, my doctor said that even though I thought I was Oing by my temps, my progesterone never went up enough to comsider it a **strong** O. The clomid helped me to O earlier in my cycle too. I used to not O until day 18-21 on Clomid I Oed on day 15!! The only question I have is why they started you on 100mg and not 50mg?
Thanks to everyone who comiserated with me about AF...she is here with avengance and now i have a headache...BLAH!!

Quick question ~ If you get a flu shot do you need to wait a month or anything before going back to TTC?
I got my allergy injections today and they had flu shots too, so I thought I might as well go ahead and get that out of the way. I didn't really stop to think about possibly having to delay TTC for a couple weeks (or whatever). I know if you are pg and in the 1st trimester they don't want you to get a flu shot, but what about while still TTC? TIA for any insight. I may have to call my dr tomorrow and ask!

Catlover, from googling, it seems like a good idea, though there are some dr's that are hesitant to give a flu shot in the 1st trimester.
The Flu Shot and Pregnancy
Pregnant women are considered to be in the high-risk group of those most vulnerable to getting the flu and are strongly urged to get a flu shot, especially if you have an increased risk of pregnancy complications due to a medical condition. While some doctors may avoid administering a vaccine to a woman who is very early in her first trimester, it is generally thought to be safe to receive the vaccine at any point during pregnancy.
Pregnant women have been found to have an increased risk of death or severe complications if they contract the flu during pregnancy. Although the general risk of death from the flu is quite low, one study showed that pregnant women have a nine times greater risk of death from flu compared to other adults. Additionally, since pregnant women have a weakened immune system, there is a greater chance of pneumonia or bronchitis developing. Even if you do not develop complications from your flu, your flu symptoms are much more likely to last longer if you are pregnant.
The U. of Michigan Med school had this on a page about TTCing
Are you up to date for shots? Your provider will check to see if you need any shots, for example, for flu or MMR (rubella, measles, or mumps). If you are planning to become pregnant during the flu season, you should have a flu shot. You will need an MMR shot if you have not had these diseases or the shot. If you have an MMR shot, you should wait 28 days after the shot before you try to get pregnant.

Hi all! Just dropping in for a sec - I am obviously WAY behind. Hearing is going well in New York -it's al good 'cuz I'm staying at the Ritz Carlton!
EWCM today - will probably O tomorrow - too bad I'm in NY and DH is in Philly - oh well - there's always next month, right?
CONGRATS COSMGIRL!
I'll check in again when I can - no temping for me this month.

I have been away for so long. Work has been crazy and I haven't been able to post much, but I have been lurking some. I just realized that AF is due today and hasn't arrived. I am not that hopeful because DH was sick during the peak BD time, so we BD'd 2 days before I think I O'd. I guess all hope is not lost, but I will probably wait a day or 2 to test (thank God I don't have any tests in the house, or I would probably be testing today :))
Congrats Cosmogirl H & H 9 Months!

Unfortunately we are out this month. I spent all day in doctor's offices and having scans yesterday and the result is that my gallbladder is not functioning properly and must go. I talked the surgeoun into letting me go to my championships this weekend with the horses and doing next weekend's adult team champs as long as I promised that if I spiked a fever I would go to the ER immediately. So I am scheduled for surgery on 11/3.
I am thinking I may have O'd today. Huge temp drop yesterday and then way way up today with major O pains or pains not sure if they are O since I am having so many problems anyway. So I am off to my finals today. Wishing everyone luck!!

berry - Sorry about AF.
polkadot - Hope you are feeling better today.
cat_loverpq - Don't have an answer regarding the flu shot but glad to se someone else gets allergy injections too. Are you on maintenance yet?
Robyn - Go you...staying at the Ritz in NY must be nice! Too bad your DH can't come up to visit to help catch that egg.
Mel - Sorry that you are out this month but I'm soooo glad they figured out what your problem is. It's better that this is happening now than when you get PG.
Me - CD 11, BD fest started last night. Woohoo! LOL I actually had some thick creamy looking CM yesterday when checking internally, and when I went and checked again a minute later I actually found some EWCM. Not much but it was there! I used some preseed last night too. My temps are back to where they were prior to taking Clomid. Not really having any signs that O is on
